Minor Hotfix 1.0.4



Hi everyone

Welcome to everyone new to Wartile, we hope you enjoy the game.

We just released a minor Hotfix addressing some of the issues we have monitored since yesterday, mostly with the localization.
  • updates to varies fan localizations
  • Flickering lights in tunnels on The Heidrun Clan and Thor's Wrath
  • Fixed an issue where enemy figurines could land on the player figurines


After this update, we have marked following languages to be 100% supported. Please use the Fan Localization forum thread if you find any issues with the translation, thanks.

Wartile has just left Early Access

Hi Everyone

After years of developing, iterating, testing, changing, listening and polishing we are finally ready to push Wartile out of the nest and see if it can fly by itself.

Sometimes it has felt like an impossible and endless endeavor to reach the quality level that we aimed for, but luckily we have made most of this journey together with our community and early access players who have contributed with valuable feedback, inspiring and helping us to keep on going and focus on the right features.

With today's release, we are delighted with the result and hope everyone can now immerse themselves in WARTILE’s rich, Norse mythology-inspired narrative and awaken their inner Viking!

Hopefully, this is just the beginning of something bigger as we would love to see the Wartile universe expanded with new fantastic stories, themes and realms.

Oh, and we have made a rather significant update aimed to make Wartile a bigger, better and sharper experience but to keep this announcement short and precise we will stay with the headlines.

More Story!
As requested by nearly everyone, we have been adding a deeper world story and narrative, and while it's still heavily focused on the world and its gods and mysteries, it also aims to enforce the overall progression of the game.


Reputation
Your Warband now earns reputation points that can be measured against the different battle boards tiers, helping you to identify their difficulty. It serves to guide and should not be considered a rule.

Unique Items
Lots of unique weapons and magical items have been added to the world, and they are all for your taking. From the Campaign board, all the spoils and loot from each battle board can be viewed before venturing further.

Renaming Figurines
Curry Days Forever or Mashee the meticulous, whatever matches your fantasy hero character. You now have the ability to rename your figurines to your own liking!

Overall polish of the UI
A general, all-around update of the UI has now made it much better and more beautiful. We know that the UI has not been the strength of the game and we hope these improvements will help.

Fixed tons of bugs
Hundreds more than there are Draug in Lost Norse or Evil spirits at Alfablot, and they just seem to rise in an endless stream to hunt us. But thanks to the QA team at DECK13, we are victorious. Should you, however, meet one, please report it to us in the steam forum :)

Fan Localization
Members of our great community have put in a massive effort to create a fan localization of Wartile into their native language.

Here is the current localization progress that you can expect in the game. We are working hard to complete the last translation of all the ongoing languages as fast as possible.

German - 100%

Polish - 95 %
Portuguise - 95 %
Danish - 90 %
French - 100%
Russian - 100 %
Polish - 95 %
Italian - 100%
Japanese - 90 %

Wartile also support Simplified Chinese.

Hotfix 0.7.3


Hi everyone

First, we would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

We have just released a minor hotfix addressing some critical bugs reported during the winter holidays.

Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue with Spearwall that made the ability crash the game under certain conditions.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the "Menu Arrows" to become unusable in the Unit Customization after having performed certain actions in the Shop.
  • Stat Card now correctly adds "bonus damage" stat when unarmed
  • Volva Swarm unit ability now has a prettier death animation
  • Gjallerhorn on "The Heidrun Clan" map no longer "rewards" a goat card.
  • Healing herb (The Dark Forest) card now correctly shows the ability duration.
  • Fixed an issue where some players would not receive items purchased in the Merchant. This was caused by an error in the savegame when counting their equipment. (We could not reproduce this error, so if you experience it, please let us know.)

Hotfix 0.7.2



Hi Everyone

We are back with a minor update addressing some issues that were not adequately eradicated with our latest hotfix, together with some rebalancing of the Battle bards.

Bug fixes:


  • Fatal Error crash on the Alfablot Battle Board during the playthrough.
  • Targeting issue on enemy Volvas couldn't be targeted with abilities on the Alfablot Battle Board
  • Issue where Zooming in/out was to fast when Time Slow was active
  • Sometimes items didn't show up correctly after equipping an item to a figurine
  • Bug causing an item to disappear when buying a new item in the merchant
  • Turning pages in the equipment stock at the merchant was sometimes buggy.
  • Buying units in the shop now immediately show up in unit management.
  • Fixed an issue with burnable towers and waypoints on Thor’s Wrath.


Change:

Equipped Tokens no longer shows up in the shop - they can't be sold, only destroyed

Rebalanced card costs
The intention is to lower the cost of cards to have more uses per board and not be punished as hard for not getting the maximum potential of cards. This means that most changes have their effect scaled down with their new cost. While doing this pass, we did rebalance a couple of cards that we felt were too expensive regarding their effectiveness.

Bear Trap: now deals 10 damage and costs 1 Battle Point (down from 20 damage and 3 battle points)
Touch of Eir: now heals 30 health and costs 3 Battle Points (down from 50 health and 5 battle points)
Flames of Glod: Tick time increased to 1 seconds and costs 4 Battle Points (up from 0.75 tick time and 6 battle points)
Pilgrim’s Madness: Duration decreased to 10 seconds and cost to 6 Battle Points (down from 12 seconds duration and 7 battle points)
Draugr Shrine: Reduced to summoning 3 Ddraugr and costs 4 Battle Points (down from spawning 4 Draugr and 6 battle points)
Strength of Tyr: Reduced battle point cost to 2 Battle Points (reduced from 3 battle points)
Thor’s Roar: Reduced battle point cost to 4 Battle Points (reduced from 5 battle points)

Localization

We would also like to mention that on Fan localization we have updateded following languages and they all show as 95% - 100% percent done, but remember that during early access few phrases might not be translated.
