A New Journey Begins — Meet Kanna

[p]For Champion of Lore, we wanted to introduce a new playable character whose story begins very differently from Sayri’s.[/p][p]Sayri was bold, idealistic, and a born hero and leader. For this new game, I wanted someone who inspires courage in the face of adversity.[/p][p]Kanna is just a young girl from a small village. She’s innocent, naturally agile, and surprisingly good with a bow — but she’s not a warrior, and she’s definitely not looking for an adventure.[/p][p]Everything changes when the explosion of corrupted Greek knowledge reaches her land.[/p][p]The myths don’t stay contained. They begin to manifest in the world, and Kanna’s village is directly affected. Suddenly, she’s caught in the middle of something far bigger than herself.[/p][p]As myths start to come to life, Kanna receives unexpected help. Through the influence of Pachamama and Wayra Tata, she gains abilities connected to nature and wind.[/p][p]These influences are something we’re currently working on, and over the next few days we’ll begin translating them into cards and abilities that define Kanna’s playstyle.[/p][p]In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at Kanna.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Since Kanna isn’t royalty and instead comes from humble origins, we went with a simpler, more rustic card frame.[/p][p]Here’s a look at some of the cards you’ll be able to use when playing as her.[/p][p][/p][p]There’s also a small detail behind her name that we really like.[/p][p]Kanna’s full name is Kannakapfaluk, inspired by an Inuit legend about a woman who rejected all her suitors and was eventually taken by a dog spirit, giving birth to children who were half-human, half-dog.[/p][p]In the game, most people simply call her Kanna, but we liked the idea of her name carrying the weight of an old story — just like the world she’s stepping into.[/p][p]Kanna represents a new perspective in the Lore universe.[/p][p]Not a hero at the end of their journey, but someone right at the very beginning of it.[/p][p]👉 Wishlist Champion of Lore on Steam[/p][p]👉 Join our Discord community to follow development and share feedback[/p][p][/p]

Our Hero's back!

[p]When Guardian of Lore came to an end, that wasn’t the end of our hero’s journey — it was only the beginning.[/p][p]The Universe of Lore still had countless stories to tell, and we knew something else was waiting beyond that final chapter.[/p][p]Just in case you skipped it… or never quite made it to the end, this was how Guardian of Lore concluded:[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]When I began designing Champion of Lore, one thing was clear: Sayri had to return.[/p][p]But his journey as a hero was already complete.[/p][p][/p][p]His transformation — from a spoiled, arrogant prince into a true Guardian — had reached its natural conclusion.[/p][p]So the question wasn’t how to bring him back.[/p][p]It was what role he should play next.[/p][p]The only logical step forward was for Sayri to guide another hero’s journey.[/p][p]In Champion of Lore, Sayri returns older, shaped by experience, and carrying the weight of everything he has lived through.[/p][p]He is no longer just a fighter on the battlefield.[/p][p]He is now a mentor.[/p][p]Someone who has already paid the price of knowledge.[/p][p]Older, yes — but not weaker. Experience has refined his skills, not diminished them.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Sayri has also made the leap into full 3D, allowing us to bring his presence, personality, and combat style to life in new ways.[/p][p]We’re currently working on spectacular and cinematic moves for him, fully embracing his new role and tactical identity.[/p][p][/p][p]Sayri’s story isn’t over.[/p][p]It’s evolving.[/p][p]And this time, his greatest legacy won’t be the battles he fights — but the hero he helps shape.[/p][p][/p][p]👉 Join our Discord community and be part of the journey[/p][p][/p]
