Demo is out!

[p]Hey everyone, the public demo is now live! πŸŽ‰[/p][p][/p][p]If you missed the previous playtests, here's a recap of what changed πŸ‘‡[/p]
  • [p]New rune system: You buy them in the shop to influence what letters are spawned. The system can still change so don't hesitate to let me know what you think.[/p]
  • [p]Endless mode: When you beat the last level, you can now continue in endless mode, with the score requirements increasing rapidly. You compete in a special leaderboard with the highest chapter you've reached.[/p]
  • [p]Twitch integration: You can enable twitch integration in the pause menu or settings which allows your viewers to suggest words and vote for which items you should buy in the shop. [/p]
  • [p]French Localization: Oui oui baguette, you're not dreaming, the game is now fully localized in French! While the French dictionary was already available, I've translated all the UI and the upgrades. I made sure the upgrades would also work in French. If you see any issue, let me know![/p]
  • [p]Reworked consumables (✨ New in the demo)[/p]
  • [p]Completely revamped interactive tutorial (✨ New in the demo): Pip the pigeon will guide you through your first game.

Playtest #2 just started!

[p]Hey everyone, the second playtest is now live! [/p][p]This playtest fixes a bunch of issues that were found during the first playtest. I added and modified a bunch of stuff so here's a list πŸ‘‡[/p]
  • [p]New rune system: You buy them in the shop to influence what letters are spawned. The system can still change so don't hesitate to let me know what you think.[/p]
  • [p]There are now 9 levels to beat instead of 6. This should give you more time to buy upgrades and create your strategy. [/p]

I don't like how they're mostly random, so I'm going to give you the ability to select which letters are affected. Hopefully I'll have it before the public demo for the Next Fest. Playtest #2: registrations opened!

[p]Hey Spellers (that's how I'm calling you for now, I think),[/p][p]I'm going to run a second public playtest very soon, and you can already register right there on the game page. I've had lots of good feedback in the first playtest and I'm working on lots of cool things. I want to see how these changes impact the game. I'll give you more info about what changed when the playtest starts, but I'm sure you'll find it exciting! [/p][p]This second playtest will help me polish the game before the public demo goes live. I'll be participating in the February Next Fest and I want the game to feel as good as possible. [/p][p]I still have to make a post about the data I gathered during the first playtest. I'll get to it asap, I got quite a bit busy with the release of Hyperslice (which didn't go well as the game is not yet released!). [/p][p][/p][p]EDIT: Playtest button was not enabled, oops! Playtest #1 is now closed!

[p]Hey everyone, [/p][p]The first public playtest is now closed, and I want to thank everyone who played, it was awesome! I got a lot of good feedback and there's still more I need to go through. [/p][p]If you didn't have time yet, please fill in this quick survey (10min max). You can also give feedback and report bugs on Discord.[/p][p][/p][h3]Some numbers[/h3][p]More than 650 people got access to the playtest (which is more than I anticipated) and the median playtime has been around 35 minutes throughout the entire playtest. I think it's quite high and another indication that you enjoy the game. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Some of you (31 to be precise) played more than 200 mins, that's crazy![/p][p]I have way more data to look at as I was collecting stuff through the Steam stats, but I didn't compute them yet. I'll let you know when I have more insights.[/p][p][/p][h3]What's next?[/h3][p]I have a ton of stuff to implement and new features I want to add to the game before I push a public demo. I'm also working on my other game Hyperslice, trying to release it in January. I can't make any promise yet, but I definitely want to run another small playtest before the public demo, so it's probably going to be around early/mid January if I can make it.
