One week left in the playtest + 0.0.13 playtest update

[p]Hey everyone, [/p][p]Thanks again for all the feedback you left so far. I've been amazed by the response to the game, and I'm truly grateful for your help! [/p][p][/p][p]I wanted to push a little update before the end of the playtest. You can read the patch note below, there are some interesting changes. This update is lighter has I'm working a lot on my other game Hyperslice to prepare for release.[/p][p][/p][p]The playtest will run until Monday, December 22, so give it a go if you didn't have time already![/p][p][/p][h3]What's next?[/h3][p]I'm closing the playtest to fix the bugs and improve the game, and I hope to run another small playtest towards the end of the year/beginning of 2026 before I publish the demo. [/p][p]I'm also going to gather the data en make a small "post-mortem" about this playtest, I'll share it here too.   • [p]Reroll button is eenabled as long as you have money instead of being disabled after one use[/p]
  • [p]Reroll now prioritizes upgrades and consumables that have not been drawn in this shop instance[/p]
  • [p]Rework how the & special letter works. It now sseparates the 2 words and apply the upgrades on each separately.[/p]

  • [p]Fix: arrows on upgrades was displayed weird in win screen[/p]
  • [p]Fix: can continue typing with keyboard after scoring starts[/p]
  • [p]Fix: keyboard typing selects letter in the for later even when closed[/p]

0.0.12 playtest update + more seats!

[p]Hey everyone, [/p][p]First, thanks for all the feedback you submitted already. There's a lot of valuable stuff in there, and it really motivates me to continue working on Lexispell to make it better. I'm incredibly pleased to see many of you are enjoying the game and that it seems to be pretty stable overall. [/p][p]If you have played already, don't hesitate to try this new version, as I fixed a bunch of issues and added some cool things (read more below).[/p][p][/p][h3]More seats![/h3][p]I'm writing this to announce I'm opening way more seats (more than 300!) in the playtest. If you were waiting to try the game, now is the time! Of course, you can still send invites to your friends if they want to try but didn't get selected yet.[/p][p][/p][h3]New stuff[/h3][p]I've made a lot of fixes, modifications and additions. You can read the full list below. [/p][p]The biggest problem that still occurs is letters getting stuck in the air after some complicated merges. When a lot of merges are happening, it can also mess with the letters you already have selected. If a word is not recognized, don't hesitate to clear the word and try again in case some merges caused a bug. [/p][p][/p][p]One of the coolest new feature is the ability to submit words to be included in the dictionary! In the pause menu, you simply entered the word you want, select the language and hit submit! I'll review the suggestions at the end of the playtest so don't hesitate to submit anything you think should be included![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]After you played, please take 10 minutes (max I promise!) to fill in this quick survey.   • [p]Fix: Letters could be put back into for later when they were already in[/p]
  • [p]Fix: The arrows on the upgrades sometimes being in the wrong orientation[/p]
  • [p]Fix: Upgrade SEVEN doesn’t trigger if length if > 7[/p]
  • [p]Fix: LOVE LETTER and EXACT COUNT could have huge points value[/p]
  • [p]Fix: Difficulty popup would show when retrying a run even if the player hadn’t previously beaten the game[/p]
  • [p]Fix: Remove letter shortcut still works when counting score[/p]
  • [p]Fix: Drag and drop not working correctly with two lines on letters[/p]

Lexispell is a roguelike word game where strategy meets physics

Now this looks like a cool mix, Lexispell brings some roguelike strategy flavour to word games with physics and the trailer easily sold me.
