Phonopolis Demo - Now Available on Steam!

[p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p]
We are excited to announce that a playable demo of Phonopolis is now available on Steam!
[p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]This demo will give you a taste of 5 scenes that take place shortly after the game's introduction. You'll ease in with an exploration sequence of the Workers' Quarter and then move through a selection of various levels.[/p][p][/p][p]"Protected by his headphones, Felix, the game's protagonist, has broken free from the loudspeakers’ control and finds himself in the streets of the cardboard city of Phonopolis. Explore the Workers’ Quarter with him and tune in to a story about a city ruled by the Leader’s commands."[/p][p][/p][p]We're very much looking forward to hearing your precious feedback, so please share your thoughts with us wherever you prefer! We'll be keeping an eye on the forums, reviews on the demo page, social media and all the associated community blogposts here on Steam.[/p][p][/p]
Where can I play?
• [p]Windows, macOS and Steam Deck are all supported.[/p]
Can I use a gamepad?
• [p]The game is now fully playable using a mouse (or touchpad), Xbox/PlayStation controllers, as well as Steam Deck.[/p]
What languages are supported?
• [p]The demo only includes English and Czech texts, with English voiceover. Subtitles and interface in the full game will be localized into many more languages including French, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, Ukrainian, Japanese or Chinese. Please refer to the game's main store page for the full list.[/p]
Will my progress carry over to the full game?
• [p]Since the demo doesn't start where the full game will, your progress will not carry over.[/p][p][/p]
[p]Enjoy![/p][p]Lukas & Amanita Design[/p]

Machinarium - Technical Update

[p]Machinarium for Windows has just been updated to version 5706-A. This update includes:[/p]
 • [p]Default renderer switched to OpenGL: We found it performs better and runs faster than the DirectX 12 renderer we introduced earlier this year, both on Windows PCs and on Steam Deck.[/p]
 • [p]Several audio fixes, including removing crackles and improving volume balance.[/p]
[p]If you prefer to run the DirectX 12 version, or even the older DirectX 9 version, you can easily select it at launch![/p]

My favorite rusty adventure game is free to keep, if you're quick

Some games just stick with you forever. I'll never forget playing Before Your Eyes, and I often pop back onto the Eye to grab some noodles at Emphis' stall in Citizen Sleeper. There are other games that you think about less often, but spark joy when they pop up on my radar. Machinarium is one such game. I hadn't thought about this quirky point-and-click puzzler for years, until it appeared as one of the free games on the Epic Games Store this week. And now I need to tell you all why should claim it and play it immediately.
