Good news about Maus interior + DLC info!



[h2]Dear mechanics[/h2]

We have some good news for you regarding the recent problems we were facing with the interior of the Maus. The DMCA Takedown Notice we received shortly before Christmas from Valve/Steam has been revoked!

DeGenerals managed to sign a license agreement with the creator of the Maus design we used. He permitted us to use his work in our game. The interior will be back to the game with the next patch. We don't want to put a specific date yet but probably in early 2022.



With this positive note, we end a fruitful 2021. Thank you for being with us, mechanics! In 2022 you can expect a release of DLC at the beginning of February. Then, we'll prepare a roadmap for you to keep you up to date with our plans and ideas.

  • Maus Interior has been disabled temporarily
  • Removed profile count limit


Fixed:
  • Post Process Video Settings are now correctly applied (the bug was caused by a special post process profile set for Christmas, when it was applied it did not have the settings applied)
  • Maus Front tracks localization
  • Error with profiles being able to replace one another (they had the same ID in some cases, now each is visible in new profile menu in main menu)

We are sorry to inform you but due to the DMCA Takedown Notice received today from Valve we have to remove the interior from Maus tank for the time being. The issue is because to model the tank interior we've used references that were copyrighted. Maus has really not a lot of references about it's interior, and we've found a site with really good photos of a plastic model. We used this references without knowledge that it was copyrighted.



We are already in contact with the author and we will do our best to solve this issue, as this is solely our mistake and misunderstanding. We are very sorry for this and as soon as possible we will get this situation sorted out to bring you the interior back into the game.

Christmas Update 1.2.9.1

We have a Christmas surprise for you! Santa Claus came to our game and left a little gift for our players!

  • Panzer III J divided Loader and Gunner hatches into separate parts (confusing naming in store/storage etc.)
  • Panzer III J divided Oil and Fuel hoses in engine/fuel system (again naming confusing)
  • Panther divided electrostarter in store to electro and inertia starters (confusing naming again)


[h2]DLC release delay for PC[/h2]



We regret to inform you that the date for the first DLC is until next month. Work on both updates is still ongoing, and even though we spend most of our time on them, still not everything is ready. We want to make sure that we provide you with the best content possible, so we believe that this extra month will allow us to refine all the details and release both updates in the best possible condition.





[h2]Consoles update postponed[/h2]



Our friends from Console Labs, who are responsible for porting the game to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, also need more time to polish up the update which will bring all the vehicles in the Community Free Vehicles series. Please have a little more patience, the update should be ready in January 2022.

Update 1.2.9

Although we're still working hard to deliver you the DLC on time, we're not overlooking major issues that have been waiting to be fixed or optimized for a long time.

[h2]1.2.9 Update[/h2]

Added:
  • Contract Creator modding tool
  • Added toggle in Settings manager that allows selecting what algorithm of tank randomization to use (default is new)

Fixed:
  • Engine will be correctly turned off when moving tank between slots in workshop
  • Engine will be correctly turned off when getting to or from test drive/proving grounds
  • Tiger I dust particles now have correct position
  • PS4 / Xbox One controllers support for MacOS
  • Restored proper working of collectables subscribed from Steam Workshop
  • Problem with display mode settings (windowed etc.)
  • Problem with some extraction objects (excavators, trucks etc.) floating above ground
  • Tank front lights will be disabled when exiting the tank
  • Dependencies for Panzer II Oil Cooler parts that correctly now shows them in store/crafting menu
  • Panther torsion bars are now splitted into two types (A/B)
  • Maus Evacuation Hatch & Generator B materials fix

  • Better random generator for tanks at extraction mission


Tank Randomization Algorithm change
We have received many reports from you about issues with the randomization system during excavations. Our players were not happy with the constant repetition of the same vehicles, which could even occur several times in a row. We have generated a few millions of extraction as our sample size and put the results to this table:

From this patch, the game will handle the tank randomization differently - the game will react to what and how many tanks the players have. The game will favor tanks that the player does not currently own - that does not mean that currently owned tanks will not be selected - only their probability to be selected gets lower.

Please let us know what do you think about those changes. It should help you get faster to the tanks you want. For all hardcore grinders, we left an option in the settings which will let you bring back the old randomization system.

Contract Creator Tool
We have added another tool that allows creating and sharing through Steam Workshop contracts, receivable through Email Menu - to find out how please check ModdingTools\UnityPackages folder and ContractCreatorReadme.pdf. Have fun ;)
