Hotfix for 1.0.17 (Unstable)

[h2]Dear Mechanics,[/h2]

There have been reports about tank getting missing after latest patch. We have already found and fixed the issue, the hot fix is now set to live. (We won't change the game version number this time).

If this fix does not bring back your tanks we are very sorry for your lost time and nerves, as we don't have any solution to recompensate it.

Next week we'll start adding official steam cloud support, as well as save/load system with autosaves and quicksaves/custom saves. We feel very bad when players report loosing all their progress and not being able to help them, most of the time because of a lack of save system. Next week this will change.

How this will work:

  • Each profile will have a folder with save files.
  • 3 autosave slots that will be saved each X minutes (this will be configurable in settings) - so autosave 1 - X minutes - autosave 2 and so on
  • 1 autosave slot that will save each hour
  • 1 quicksave slot
  • 2 or more custom save slots


Saving and loading will only be available from Workshop scene, in Workshop room. Each time the player will leave a scene (for example the extraction to workshop or to main menu) the game will save the progress to the next autosave.

This way, after adding such system, players can make a copy of their save files and if something goes wrong, have a working copy.

Update 1.0.17 (Unstable)

we've uploaded next patch for the Unstable branch, version 1.0.17.
The version that was previously in the Unstable branch is now moved to default branch.

The biggest change is the fix for memory management - we hope this will eliminate some crashes that still occur. We have another memory fix upcoming in next week.

Tweaked:
  • Crafting parts for every tank. Agreeing with suggestions, that the crafting parts cost was too low, almost all parts now cost more and more appropriate (to part size and complexity)
  • Fixing by outsource the parts that could not be fixed using tools, is now again possible
  • More props will spawn for extraction missions


Fixed:
  • Renovator achievement works
  • Memory management for tank part icons in storage, assembly, shop and crafting menus.
  • Localization for contract descriptions (in emails) for all languages, as well as some new options in settings
  • Localization fixes suggested by community (all over the game)
  • Widescreen problems with customizer menu
  • A null ref in storage menu when opened on extraction or proving grounds
  • PZ III M wrong materials for engine hatches are now fixed
  • Panther gun brake position
  • Panther driver vision animation
  • Paint room decal positioning now works correctly for PZ III M and its side skirts


We're still working on resolving following issues:
  • Floating tanks on Extraction scene, when the contract should be complete but it does not finish - Please, if you encounter this bug, send us a repro steps to [email protected] - this might be connected with save wiping/tanks dissapearing bug.
  • Crashes (there are reports that verifying the game files helps to fix some of these issues)

Update 1.0.16 (Unstable)

Added:
  • Pins to PanzerIVG tracks
  • Second engine stand to the Workshop room


Fixed:
  • Crafting menu behaves correctly when the player buys a new blueprint, when the player already had few blueprints bought
  • Crafting menu shows correct tank parts (no missing parts)
  • Tank parts can be correctly assembled, if they are the same (exchangable) from module A to module B (for example, a locker in Panzer III M turret could not be assembled in the hull interior locker)
  • Assembling tank parts has now correct resetting system, previously not everytime the possible tank parts to be assembled were cleared, and the game could use wrong parts to be assembled, causing game to freak out.
  • Storage menu will correctly save the information, that a part that is being in the storage is a replacable only part.
  • PZ III M materials fixed (for interior parts)
  • PZ III J materials fixed (for interior parts)
  • M10 Wolverine has now the fuel and radiator caps separated
  • KV-1 test drive model re-worked
  • KV-2 test drive model re-worked
  • Small fixes for Korean and Spanish localization
  • Selecting a tank part from the tank analysis menu, while the player was holding a tool, now correctly drops the tool before going to select the tank part (zooming in on it)
  • Crafting menu stores the information of last selected blueprint
  • Trying to access a locked room does not cause problem with clicking on any object
  • M26 Pershing small fixes for engine parts configuration (now most of the parts are parted)


We're still working on resolving following issues:
  • Floating tanks on Extraction scene, when the contract should be complete but it does not finish
  • All the localization bugs, we will focus on eliminating those by your suggestions and reports.
  • Crashes and loading freeze (there are reports that verifying the game files helps to fix some of these issues)

Update 1.0.15 (Unstable)

we have uploaded another update, version 1.0.15.

This time however, we are uploading it on the Unstable branch (the beta branch) first, so anyone who is brave enough can play it before it becomes official.

From now on, the scheme of patch releases will look like this:
  1. Publish the patch for Unstable branch
  2. Gather feedback for at least 24h
  3. (only if game-breakers are detected during the 24h unstable test) Fix and re-upload for next 24h
  4. Publish the patch for the default branch, for all users

Added:
  • Loading icon appears when the player selects a tank in shop, storage or crafting menu, untill the tank parts are loaded.
  • When assembling a tank part with assembly menu disabled (available in settings), the game will select the part from the storage with the best condition.
  • The key settings now are configured to ignore some other key settings, for example, movement keys will ignore keys assigned to vehicle movement or tank movement, and vice-versa.
  • An icon in storage menu that indicates if a part is repairable or not (because of the part is made from rubber, wood etc.)


Fixed:
  • Drone has been fixed to not use very heavy visuals, the game should use less memory
  • There won't be an option to outsource repairs parts that are unrepairable (for instance rubber tank parts, electronics, wood etc.)
  • Player with unlocked tool belt can now correctly quit proving grounds
  • Turkish language has now correct characters displayed, as well as small fixes
  • Stug wrong images of part for Air filter cover/Air filter
  • Potential errors when the game was loading, the pink (missing) materials, no tank visual model etc.
  • Yard terrain + wall small fix
  • Crafting menu will correctly close the loading icon when the tank is loaded
  • Tiger I left and right grenade launchers are now separated in shop/crafting menus
  • Camera problems on Proving Grounds when aiming at the base

  • Rubber wheels for Tiger I tank
  • An option to scroll the mail box list
  • An option on Extraction missions, to have the radial option to load the tank on the trailer without the need to be near the tank or looking at the tank.
  • An option on Proving Grounds, to have the radial option to get back to base without the need to be near the tank and looking at it.
  • A fade out when the extraction mission is quit


Tweaked:
  • Torque for all tanks, to increase their ability to climb heights
  • Screw materials and textures
  • Spawning mode ( "Call Towing Service" )
  • Spawning metal objects (Extraction 3)


Fixed:
  • Objects from other rooms cannot be clicked through wall
  • Player cannot select any usable object when switching rooms
  • Small fixes for Chinese translation
  • Panzer III J Exhaust Manifold localization key is now correct
  • Panzer III M Frontal armor collider is now correct
  • Tiger I test drive model loaded crewslot is positioned correctly
  • Tiger I double outer road wheel is now correctly separated from the double inner road wheel (previously player could not buy the outer road wheel in the shop)
  • Sherman M4A3E8 has correct gunner and loader crew slot positions
  • M10 Wolverine has correct M2 machine gun position
  • Skipping tutorial correctly blocks all instructions or tutorials from popping up.
  • Painted decals will be visible after final paint is applied
  • Minimap on Proving Grounds should now work correctly after re-entering the scene


We're still working on resolving following issues:
  • Too big RAM usage
  • 144hz movement/rotate bug
  • Wide screen UI bugs
  • Storage menu missing parts (this one is very tough to find)
  • Save wiping out (another tough one)
