Surprise! ːsamorost_spiritː The very first Samorost game, originally released in 2003, is now available as FREE download on Steam. It is the first time this game is made available as a standalone game, as opposed to the previous web browser (Flash) release. Aside from this PC and Mac release, you can also download Samorost 1 for free to your iOS and Android devices.

This new version of Samorost 1 comes with remastered and newly recorded sounds, enhanced graphics, full-screen support, and brand new music by Floex (Tomáš Dvořák), the composer from Machinarium and Samorost 2 and 3. Don't forget to share your impressions with us in the comments!

Hello!

As many of you noticed, there was an update coming for a while - and it just landed on Steam!

The new enhanced version now runs in full-screen and with improved visuals, achieving higher resolution of assets thanks to a custom trained AI. Sounds have been revised and often re-recorded, too, giving the main character a wider range of vocal expressions, and more.

The list of improvements continues with a new opening screen, simplified user interface, minor tweaks in game design, and achievements support. The outdated, level code-based save system was replaced with a more user-friendly level selection in the main menu. There's also the new zoom feature that allows you to explore the world from up close. One more thing - the game is now officially supported on Mac, and you'll also find it on iOS and Android app stores.

The new and improved version brings:
- Enhanced graphics with full-screen support
- A bunch of game design tweaks
- Revamped save system (no more level codes!)
- New zoom feature
- Achievements
