Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition

[p]Rayman is back again![/p][p][/p][p]To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the initial release, Ubisoft partnered with Atari and Digital Eclipse to bring this timeless classic to current-gen consoles and PC. Many of you may have enjoyed a magical journey to the Glade of Dreams a while back, but this time all of us have worked hard to let you play the experience you might remember.[/p][p]Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition offers the option to play five different original versions of the game:[/p][p]· PlayStation®,1995[/p][p]· Atari Jaguar, 1995[/p][p]· MS-DOS (PC), 1995[/p][p]· Game Boy Color, 2000[/p][p]· Game Boy Advance, 2001[/p][p][/p][p]Additionally, and for the first time, you will also be able to get to play the original Rayman prototype:[/p][p]· SNES, 1992 (Rayman Prototype – unreleased)[/p][p][/p][p]The Rayman Story:[/p][p]On top of the different versions of the game, the prototype, the work done on music and the QoL additions, the other main attraction of Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition resides in the History tab from the main menu.[/p][p]There, you will be able to watch interviews by the original makers of the game as well as details from their lives, which led to the creation of the limbless character.[/p][p]Additionally, concept art, Japanese box art, the entire game bible, as well as official Ubi Soft (note the spacing here) documents retrace the story of the game that heavily contributed to Ubisoft’s recognition around the world.[/p][p][/p][p]Additional Levels:[/p][p]The PC and PlayStation® versions available in this edition will also allow you to enjoy more than 120 extra levels from the original developers, game designers from Ubisoft, as well as creations from the fans:[/p][p]· 24 New Levels made by the original design team as an add-on for the MS-DOS/PC version of Rayman. (Expert players)[/p][p]· Rayman By His Fans, 1998: 40 New levels created by fans using the Rayman Designer software[/p][p]· Rayman 60 levels, 1999: 60 Levels for the MS-DOS/PC version of Rayman, created by Ubisoft designers. (Variable difficulty)[/p][p][/p][p]Quality of Life:[/p][p]For many of us you, getting those final Electoon Cages as well as some random elements in the game design, may have been a rather challenging experience. And because we’re now all so much better gamers (right?), we totally don’t need any of the following quality of life changes:[/p][p]· Rewind Feature (Available for all game versions & does not disable achievements)[/p][p]· Infinite lives (PSX / MS-DOS only & disables achievements)[/p][p]· Maximum Health points (PSX / MS-DOS only & disables achievements)[/p][p]· Unlock all levels (PSX / MS-DOS only & disables achievements)[/p][p]· Unlock all abilities (PSX / MS-DOS only & disables achievements)[/p][p][/p][p] Additionally, and for those of you who would like to get that authentic flavor back, we added a CRT filter, screen mode options (Original, Full, Super-Wide), as well as vintage console inspired framings for you to choose from.[/p][p]Screen Mode: Original; Filter: CRT Curved and Border: On (matching the platform version)[/p][p]Each version of Rayman will also feature three separate save game slots, to allow for playing around with cheats and trying your best to get those pesky achievements![/p][p][/p][p]Music:[/p][p]Our teams have also worked extensively with some of the original musicians to recreate the sound of Rayman. We wanted to keep the spirit and stay true to the original soundtrack. For the first time, Game Boy Color as well as Game Boy Advance versions will be playable with compositions inspired by soundtrack from the first Rayman game. Our teams spent quite some time adjusting the music to ensure it sounds just like it would have at the time. We will share a more extensive blog on our work on music in the days to come, so stay tuned![/p][p] [/p][p]We are quite happy to welcome you back to the Glade of Dreams!
