The Desert Survives Unreal Engine 5.7

[p]Even the desert must evolve.[/p][p]During the upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.7, some gameplay systems stopped functioning properly.[/p]
[p]Due to the transition to Unreal Engine 5.7, some functionality stopped working. I hope I managed to catch and fix all the problems.[/p]
[p]Engine transitions can shake the foundations of a game — like a sandstorm.[/p][p]Most issues have now been located and corrected.[/p][p]The desert is stable again.[/p]

The Desert Stops Stuttering

[p]I finally pushed a massive performance update for game, and the results are insane! I managed to more than double the framerate—jumping from a choppy 45 FPS to a buttery-smooth 100+ FPS.[/p][p]This update transforms the desert experience: smoother movement, stable AI, and no more performance spikes under the scorching sun.[/p][p]The desert still tests you — but not your GPU. 🏜️🔥

Desert Reforged — Massive Stability & Systems Update

[p]For over a month there were no updates — because this time the focus was not new content, but stability.[/p][p]This patch reinforces the foundations of Sins of the Desert: AI behavior, ritual interaction logic, audio consistency, saving systems, and storage functionality.[/p][hr][/hr][h2]🎮 Controls & Camera[/h2][p]A collider conflict caused certain interaction keys to stop responding.[/p][p]In first-person view, the character could see themselves when rotating the camera.[/p][p]During ritual scenes, opening the menu caused animation glitches — menu access during active rituals is now properly restricted.[/p][p]The ritual focus camera sometimes failed to activate on first attempt.[/p][p]If interacting with objects during drink animations, the character could freeze.[/p][p]All interaction logic has been stabilized.[/p][hr][/hr][h2]🚪 AI & Interaction Fixes[/h2][p]AI could get stuck in navigation and only move when the player approached.[/p][p]NPCs walked through tent doors during scheduled behaviors.[/p][p]After private interactions, NPCs sometimes failed to reset to default state.[/p][p]Certain characters used incorrect movement animations.[/p][p]Approaching NPCs during active scenes could lock interaction until restart.[/p][p]Attempting to interact with non-interactive characters caused UI lock.[/p][p]AI now behaves consistently. Doors are solid.
