Update: New Website, Improved Save Profiles and Logic Nodes

Hello everyone,

This update contains a lot of under-the-hood improvements to lay the groundwork for the upcoming free map packs. We have also launched recourse.cloudsandblue.com to serve mainly as a gameplay manual.

Details:
  • The new website serves as a manual/wiki for the game. It provides information on the characters, different puzzle elements, enemies and other gameplay features. There is also a press kit page providing resources such as logos, screenshots and media files for those interested.
  • Save profiles have been converted to widgets that display your progress, collectibles and upgrades in the same place.
  • Logic nodes have been updated to display the number of active incoming connections below the required connections text. They also more clearly indicate whether you should activate/deactivate more connections.
  • Payload and wave rush levels have been modified to have points and other pick-ups placed in the levels for quicker progress.
  • A few new dialogues were added.
  • The demo has been updated in the same manner as well.

Demo Now Available

Hello everyone,

Recourse Demo is now available on Steam. You can download it from the store page by clicking the blue "Download Demo" button on the right hand side. Alternatively, you can visit the demo's own store page here.

The demo has 4 new maps (2 Puzzle, 1 Wave Rush, 1 Payload) specifically designed for it to allow you to experience all three game modes.

Puzzles in the demo consist of elements from the first half of the original game. There are seven deployables available in the demo (all except for Point A).

There are five upgrades available for Floe: Repair, Grapple, Scaner, Containment and Collector.

The demo also has 12 achievements of its own.

WINTER is not available in the demo.

If you already own the original game, Steam may not let you download the demo, but we will include the new maps in an upcoming update, quite possibly with some improvements and new puzzle elements, so you will not be missing out on anything.

Once again, we would kindly remind you that we strongly recommend trying the demo first to see how the game runs on your system if this is your first Unreal Engine 4 game.
