Just imagine playing your favorite game on the couch with a warm beverage... Sounds perfect, doesn't it? ☕

Thanks for all your feedback on the bugs and problems within the game!

We have patch notes below:


Features:

+ Added foraging, now you can find food and resources in the wild

+ Added sound effects for tools, fishing, animals and several interactions

+ Added a "Quit Game" button

+ Updated several tool and item icons

+ Updated Credits Screen


Bugfixes:

- Fixed objects respawning every time you reenter the map

- Fixed objects destroying crops

- Fixed lights not being enabled in real time

- Fixed rain not working on every map

- Fixed an issue with the player being stuck inside the mines

- Fixed player displaying the wrong appearance

- Fixed player walking over some objects

- Fixed player being able to walk while talking to an NPC

- Fixed an issue with storage not opening

- Fixed animal portraits during purchase

- Fixed mouse misalignment

- Fixed lots of collision issues

- Fixed the grass on the Crossroads map

- Fixed animation delay while destroying objects

- Fixed streetlights displaying inaccurate shadows during nighttime

- Fixed player getting stuck while traveling between maps

- Fixed gap between tiles at the Mines

- Fixed inconsistency between tools

We wanted to make a post sharing some information about the new version of the game.

We're aware that there are various bugs and problems with the new version of Orange Season. We want to apologize for the state of the update and let the community know that we’re working hard on fixing these issues.

Please do keep in mind that the game is still in early access; 99% of these issues will not make it into the final version of the game.

With that being said, we want to thank everyone for all the support, feedback, and patience. We've been going through all the bug reports and the team is tackling them one by one. In the meantime, we will remain available for any questions, bug reports, or other queries moving forward.

Naturally, updates are on the way



[h3]From the Dev Team:[/h3] "The demo we released is a way for us to show you what's being developed, to test and get feedback, as well as to give everyone access to new content.

The team is working hard to bring all the content from the old game back as soon as possible. It's a slow process, as it is pretty much remaking the game from scratch. But we are putting all of our efforts into it, and we're aiming to deliver a fun experience for the players.

In the upcoming weeks we will focus our attention to fix the bugs and making the demo more stable. We are fully aware of all the issues and the team will work to fix them. We know everyone has expectations, and we want to meet those as best as we can."


In the meantime, it's still possible to play the old version of the game, along with your old save. In order to do so, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to the properties of the game via steam by right-clicking the title in your Steam library.
2. After, select 'Betas' from the left side menu.
3. Select the build you like to play. “old_version” beta branch.
(4. If you want to go back to the new version, repeat steps 1 to 3, and select the word “none” as step 3)

The update for Orange Season will be live at 13:10 CET.



After an update, the game should load into the new build! (if the game still loads the old version, you can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the game).

More updates to the game will be coming soon as well!

Hope you're all having a great week so far!

Today, we have more information to share with you about the update coming to Orange Season, also some more screenshots of the game. We have a lot to go into so lets go:

The update will happen next week, 01/12/2022. This means the game will be on the new engine and will look, feel and play differently than before.

Below are some screenshots and more information on the update:





What does the update mean:
- After the 1st of December when starting the game, the new version of the game will load not your old save. The old version will still load your old save, but more on that below.
- If you're getting the game for the first time, this will be the new version.
- There won't be updates for the old version of the game anymore.
- Your current save of the game will not carry over.
- The new version will only have the spring season for now but more will be coming.





New features:
- The game has received a main storyline.
- New key art.
- Updated In-game visuals.
- New map.
- Environments,
- Lighting,
- Dialogue options,
- Sidequests,
- Soundtrack,
- Animations,
- And other quality-of-life improvements.





Information on your old save:
It will be possible to still play your old save/ the old version of the game. in order to do so you'll have to:

1. Go to the properties of the game via steam by right-clicking the title in your Steam library.
2. After, select 'Betas' from the left side menu.
3. Select the build you like to play. “old_version” beta branch.
(4. If you want to go back to the new version, repeat steps 1 to 3, and select the word “none” as step 3)


Important, the old version will only be available till April 2023. We will keep everyone updated on how this will go. but for now, that's the end month for the old/current version of the game. We feel this gives everyone enough time to still finish off some things in the old version.





We are super excited about the update! We hope you are too.

As we have spoken about before moving the game to another engine has been a lot of work, but we'll be able to add many more features to the game now.
