More information on the changes to Orange Season
Hey everyone,
Hope you're all having a great week so far!

Today, we have more information to share with you about the update coming to Orange Season, also some more screenshots of the game. We have a lot to go into so lets go:

The update will happen next week, 01/12/2022. This means the game will be on the new engine and will look, feel and play differently than before.

Below are some screenshots and more information on the update:

What does the update mean:
- After the 1st of December when starting the game, the new version of the game will load not your old save. The old version will still load your old save, but more on that below.
- If you're getting the game for the first time, this will be the new version.
- There won't be updates for the old version of the game anymore.
- Your current save of the game will not carry over.
- The new version will only have the spring season for now but more will be coming.

New features:
- The game has received a main storyline.
- New key art.
- Updated In-game visuals.
- New map.
- Environments,
- Lighting,
- Dialogue options,
- Sidequests,
- Soundtrack,
- Animations,
- And other quality-of-life improvements.

Information on your old save:
It will be possible to still play your old save/ the old version of the game. in order to do so you'll have to:

1. Go to the properties of the game via steam by right-clicking the title in your Steam library.
2. After, select 'Betas' from the left side menu.
3. Select the build you like to play. “old_version” beta branch.
(4. If you want to go back to the new version, repeat steps 1 to 3, and select the word “none” as step 3)

Important, the old version will only be available till April 2023. We will keep everyone updated on how this will go. but for now, that's the end month for the old/current version of the game. We feel this gives everyone enough time to still finish off some things in the old version.

We are super excited about the update! We hope you are too.

As we have spoken about before moving the game to another engine has been a lot of work, but we'll be able to add many more features to the game now.

Thank you all again for the support on Orange Season! if you have questions please leave them below or join our discord: SOEDESCO Discord link

Thanks,

More changes coming to "Orange Season"
Hey everyone!
Not the monthly update today... but we do have 3 exciting weeks upcoming for the game.

To start us off slowly, we'll be changing the game name and Key artwork.

The game will no longer be called: "Fantasy Farming: Orange Season" but instead, it will be called simply "Orange Season". (this will be reflected on the store home page soon as well).

We believe the name change was needed, it also ties in with the rest of the changes happening.

Below is the new key artwork for the game:

What do you think? Like the change?

As many of you know, the team is hard at work moving the game into another engine. Next week we'll have more information on this and how it'll impact the current version.
We should also have some new screenshots of the game within its new engine to show as well.

Big changes are coming to Orange Season soon so make sure to keep an eye out on our social channels for updates as well.

Thanks,
Robert, Rafael & Kazz

Development update August 2022
Hello everyone!
Today we are going to show some work that we are undertaking to create a new game world for Orange Season, a world filled with personality and history!

For this, we went back to one of our core tenants of Orange Season, “To provide a place for you, the player, to belong, to call it home. A cozy space for you to take your life in your pace of your own choice.”

With this in mind, the areas surrounding Orange Town and the town itself were given a new brush of life to reflect the many changes made by the flow of time and by the life of its inhabitants. Now, while traversing this new town, you will stumble upon the marks left behind by those who make this land their own.

Marks such as:

The profitable Brittany’s Farm, with it’s high fences paid by the advantage of being owned by the mayor’s sister.

The beautiful lake inside the Forest, a place to enjoy the heat while sightseeing the flocks of ducks that thrive here. But beware, for this body of water…

… holds marks from a distant past! Maybe you will fish something interesting here!

Or maybe you will fish out some friendships at the Inn! The Spa now is officially part of the best (and only) Inn in Orange Town. This is now a hotspot (literally) to mingle with the villagers!

Of course, your farm also has been brushed to become a green blank canvas for your new life. An empty lot with trees and a modest house will be your starting position to build a place for you (and your chosen villagers) to belong.

This will be your starting position to build your home! Plant crops, and animals or buy the neighboring plot to further build the place where you belong!

Please, be advised that this and more are all under active development, and can change in the future.

This is it, for now, we will keep you posted on how further we will be developing Orange Town to be a special place for you!

(Ps, for everyone who read till the end, we should have a trailer showing the new content coming soon).

Thanks,
Robert, Rafael & Kazz

SOEDESCO at Gamescom 2022!

Hello everyone!

This past week we at SOEDESCO have been to Gamescom 2022!

Bit of a different update this time not about the game but about us at SOEDESCO.

This year we were only in the B2B area of the event, but we were still able to show our games to other developers and industry insiders. The business area is still important for the press, influencers, and other media to check out our company!

Next year we hope to bring Soedesco to the customer-facing side of Gamescom as well😊

Here are some of the photos from the event:

Please make sure to check our YouTube channel for the “after movie” of Gamescom 2022!
