[p][/p]

■ Online Multiplayer Now Available at All Times
[p]During Steam Next Fest 2026 (February Edition), online multiplayer was available only for a limited time in the demo version.[/p][p]In the Early Access version, online multiplayer is now permanently available.[/p][p]Hanafuda truly shines as a competitive game between players, so we hope you enjoy exciting Hanafuda battles with your friends and family.[/p][p][/p]

■ Watch Mode
[p]A new “Watch Mode” has been added, allowing you to spectate matches between AI opponents (Normal vs Hard).[/p][p]In Watch Mode, both players’ hands are visible, allowing you to follow the full decision-making process of each AI.[/p][p][/p][p]The log of the most recently watched match is saved as watch.log.[/p][p]You can access this file by opening the game’s installation directory from the Steam client:[/p][p]Click the ⚙ button → “Browse Local Files”, then open the save directory.[/p][p]While the contents of watch.log may be difficult to read manually, it can be analyzed using generative AI tools to gain deeper insights into the match.[/p][p]The AI in Battle Hanafuda never “cheats”.[/p][p]By “cheating,” we mean referencing hidden information such as the opponent’s hand or unseen cards in the draw pile.[/p][p]Instead, the AI makes decisions based purely on prediction and probability, and the reasoning behind those decisions is recorded in watch.log.[/p][p][/p]

■ Hard Mode (In Development)
[p]Hard Mode, which allows players to battle the Hard AI, is currently still under development.[/p][p]The current Hard AI is still evolving, and the development team is continuing to refine it with the goal of creating the strongest video-game Hanafuda AI.[/p][p]As a reference, when running a simulation of 1,000 games (12,000 rounds) between Normal and Hard AI, the current Hard AI achieves a win rate of approximately 36%.[/p][p]We will continue releasing updates whenever improved algorithms demonstrate clear performance gains, and Hard Mode will be officially implemented once the AI reaches the desired level of strength.[/p][p][/p]

■ Steam Achievements and Leaderboards
[p]The Early Access version introduces Steam Achievements and Leaderboards, which were restricted in the demo.[/p][p]Leaderboards can be viewed directly from within the game and display the top 100 scores.[/p][p]Score is calculated as the player’s final points minus the opponent’s (Normal AI) score, and may be negative.[/p][p]You can also view a simple match log for each leaderboard score, showing how that score was achieved.[/p]
