[p]When you describe a hero in YOU vs Zombies, it all begins with The Ritual.[/p][p]Choosing your hero’s name, what they look like, and anything else that defines them - their personality, quirks, hobbies, reputation, or whatever strange details you feel like adding.[/p][p]From that description, The Ritual builds your hero.[/p][p]Part of that process is choosing a class for your hero. Behind the scenes, we’ve built a set of classes for The Ritual to choose from, helping it interpret the hero you described and summon someone fun to play and reasonably capable of surviving hordes of ravenous zombies. 🤞[/p][p]Based on the character you describe, The Ritual selects the class that best fits them, shaping their starting stats. [/p][h2]The Four Classes[/h2][p]Our team designed four classes for The Ritual to choose from: Balanced, Bruiser, Speedster, and Luckweaver.[/p][p]When your hero is summoned, The Ritual selects the class that best matches the character you described and adjusts their starting stat spread.[/p][p]
[/p][h3]Balanced ⚖️[/h3][p]The reliable all-rounder.[/p][p]Balanced heroes start with evenly distributed stats, making them adaptable and flexible in most situations. If the character you describe sounds versatile, practical, or capable in lots of different ways, The Ritual may choose this path.[/p][p]No huge strengths. No glaring weaknesses. Just someone trying their best in a world full of zombies.[/p][p][/p][h3]Bruiser 🤜[/h3][p]Built for the front line.[/p][p]Bruisers start with higher health and damage, making them excellent at standing their ground when the zombie horde gets a little too friendly. Their crit and luck stats are lower, but they more than make up for it with durability.[/p][p]If your hero sounds tough, stubborn, or like they’d solve problems with a crowbar and questionable decision-making, Bruiser might be the result.[/p][p][/p][h3]Speedster 🏃💨[/h3][p]Fast, aggressive, and very difficult to pin down.[/p][p]Speedsters start with higher damage and speed, letting them dart through combat and deal heavy hits before the zombies know what happened. They sacrifice some survivability and luck, but mobility can be its own kind of defence.[/p][p]If your hero sounds agile, athletic, or like the kind of person who would absolutely attempt a backflip during the apocalypse, The Ritual might lean Speedster.[/p][p][/p][h3]Luckweaver 🤞[/h3][p]Chaos has a favourite child.[/p][p]Luckweavers begin with higher crit chance and luck, opening the door for dramatic moments and unexpected victories. Their base damage and speed are lower, but fortune has a habit of stepping in when it matters.[/p][p]If your hero sounds guided by fate, instinct, or sheer chaotic energy, Luckweaver might be the path they land on.[/p][p][/p][h2]Unique Stat Boost[/h2][p]Each hero then receives a unique stat boost drawn from the character you described. The ritual looks at your hero and generates a named perk that fits who they are.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]

• [p]🥪 A peanut butter and jelly monster might gain High-Speed Spread, increasing movement speed as they slide across the battlefield.[/p]
• [p]🐵 Summon Punch the Monkey and you might unlock Orphan’s Unbridled Rage, increasing your crit chance.[/p]
• [p]🤡 Choose a clown hero and you could end up with Squeaky Mallet Malice, adding extra damage to every oversized bonk.[/p]

[p]Every hero ends up with something different. By the time The Ritual hurls your hero back through the timeline, they arrive with a class, a stat spread, and a perk that exists purely because you decided that was the hero the apocalypse needed.[/p][p]Then it’s time to point them at the zombies and see what happens.[/p][p][/p][h2]Want to Try The Ritual Yourself?[/h2][p]

[/p][h3]📝 YOUR MISSION: BREAK IT[/h3][p]This is a SUPER EARLY look at what we are building, which means things may wobble. Spells may misfire. Reality may briefly collapse. When that happens, we need to know. This isn’t a holiday. We haven’t built this tech just to look pretty. We need you to push the Infinity Platform to its absolute limit.[/p]

• [p]Generate the weirdest heroes you can think of[/p]
• [p]See if you can get through 8 story beats to the BIG BAD BOSS[/p]
• [p]Tell us if our humour tickles you - we’re British, our upper lips are stiff and sardonic

[h3]🧙 HOW THE PLAYTEST WORKS[/h3][p]You will start with one Hero slot. To unlock more, you’ll need to complete your current Hero’s story.[/p][p]You can delete a Hero from the select screen to free up space.[/p][p]If you attempt to create too many Heroes in one day, you may hit a daily limit. (Even wizard ghosts need boundaries.)[/p][p]If you manage to create something weird or inappropriate, please use the in-game report buttons.[/p][p]If you create something incredible, chaotic, or deeply concerning in a fun way, share it on social or in Discord. We genuinely can’t wait to see who you summon.
[/p][h3]🐛 KNOWN ISSUES & BUGS[/h3][p]No SFX… yet. You’ll hear voices and music, but the full SFX system featuring zombie growls, spell impacts, satisfying chaos etc, is still a few weeks out.[/p][p]Steam login coming soon. For now, you’ll need to log in via Google to create personalised characters (look out for this appearing in a new pop-up window.)

Keyboard and mouse are fully supported whilst controller is partially supported, especially in menus.[/p][h3]
