Release 1.03

Greetings Lords of Rigel!

This update brings some optimizations to memory use in galaxy view, system view, and the research menu. Stars, research icons, and system asset streaming are optimized with a reduced memory use in saved game data. This should improve performance for some systems in new games. Saved game comparability has also been kept although underlying game data structures have been optimized for memory use.

System view optimizations

The main update however is the addition of the achievement menu in the Hall of Fame. This syncs with your steam cloud but is based on your local achievements save file.

Achievements Menu

If you are having issues with achievements not syncing follow the steps in common issues with steam cloud saves and you can delete your achievement save for it to force an update. Achievements you earn through your games will be stored in the achievement save and on load it will attempt to sync that save with steam cloud to capture achievements throughout your games.

December Community Update

Greetings Lords of Rigel!

This past week has included a number of optimizations and fixes for community reported bugs. This has included at least one critical fix with colony bases and a range of UI display fixes for incorrect not not displayed data under certain conditions (temporal anomalies).

The plan over December is to continue to work on community reported issues and continue on optimizations. There will also be some data structure changes to allow for council decree support.
New Leader- Gemini the Master Cloner
Gemini started as a science experiment for long term human colonization and expansion, but became a researcher in his own right expanding on cloning technologies. He and a Rigelan leader are both available in the leader pools of new games.
Council Decrees
The planned winter feature addition, council decrees, will be voted on between council leader votes. Decrees apply penalties to a faction ranked highest with a particular resource, but bonuses for all other factions. Active decrees also reduce the Doomsday Clock, so even if you are a lead faction you may want to take temporary economic hit.

Mechanically, this continues the meddling of the elder races to "level" the playing field to advance their own agendas. Expect this in early 2025.
