Starting today, you can collect all the pets—with Lucky Pet Crates!

That’s not all, though. The Chosen Path update introduces the Pet Collection and Pet Combination systems. All those toucans and pufferfish that you have hanging around can now be mashed into a dragon or a small ghost (as long as they’re not character-bound already).

We’re going into downtime tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. PST to begin the update. Once we’re back online, you’ll notice that we’ve kicked off some new events to get your Monk up to speed, including a party buff, level goal, and a new attendance marathon. That is to say, in plain, non-Dickensian English: We’re having a fanfic contest!Give us your best holiday-themed short fiction set in the world of Kritika Online?, and you could win game Kred and street cred!

Just submit your work of original short fiction—seriously: short; we’re talking 1,000 words or less—to [email protected] by noon (PST) on Wednesday, December 20, and after a short review period, we’ll read the winning stories live on Twitch later that same day!

And if your holiday-themed fanfic is one of the winning entries, you’ll also be receiving a seasonal bounty of Yuletide Kred:

• 1st Place: 3,000 Kred
• 2nd Place: 2,000 Kred
• 3–5th Place: 1,000 Kred

On Wednesday, December 13, 8 a.m. PST, we’ll be going into downtime to bring you the Titan’s Rage—the next update for Kritika Online!

This update introduces two new end-game Danger Zones, one culminating in a showdown against the villainous Abelard, and the other with his dreaded Titan! We’ve also made a ton of balance changes to the Arena, introduced new rewards and matchmaking for PvP, and added fishing to town hubs.
