Historical Skins – T-90M Liberator

Commanders!

For the celebrations of the end of the Second World War, we have prepared for you several new items, starting with the T-90M skin called Liberator.

This skin was inspired by the final large battle of the European theater of war, the Battle of Berlin. Despite taking place right at the end of the war and taking mere two weeks, this single battle took the lives of up to two hundred thousand soldiers on both sides with nearly half a million troops wounded and over one hundred thousand civilians perishing in the conflict.

Truly it was a testament to the nearly incomprehensible brutality of war and the bravery of Soviet troops who went on to conquer this final bastion of Nazi resistance. The T-90M Main Battle Tank takes on the appearance inspired by the heavy IS-2 tanks from this battle and bears the insignia of the 7th Guards Independent Heavy Tank Brigade – the famous polar bear crossing a red star and white stripes covering its front and turret.

The steel surface of the tank was also modified to resemble the late war Soviet tanks but that’s not all the skin offers. Aside from looking pretty, equipping the skin unlocks the top module configuration of this tank that otherwise requires you to complete Battle Path missions.

But that’s not all we have for you. For this year’s camouflage, we took inspiration from the “other side”, for what would heroic deeds of victory be without worthy enemies?

The Zimmerit camouflage makes your vehicle look as if it is covered by the eponymous coating that prevented the attachment of magnetic mines to German tanks. While its real-life use was somewhat controversial (some say the Zimmerit layer was not useful at all), it did produce the iconic late war look of German panzers.

And last but not least, we have three decals for you:

  • Emblem of the 7th Guards Independent Heavy Tank Brigade (as a decal)
  • U.S. Army Star (the version used during the Normandy landings)
  • Lorraine Cross (symbol of the French resistance)

We hope that you will enjoy these new items and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Coming Soon: Thunder Run

Commanders!

For the majority of this May, we’ve prepared a special event for you. But what’s the theme of it, you ask? As it name suggests, it’s the Thunder Runs, or, more broadly, the involvement of the U.S. Army in Iraq, from Operation Desert Storm to the Iraq War.

You’ll be earning plenty of American-themed prizes, including some legendary skins because in this event, we’re giving you a chance to earn some of the previously released theme-appropriate content that you might have missed out on, including a number of legendary skins, camouflages and decals:

  • Warhammer skin for M1A2
  • Daguet skin for ERC 90 F4
  • ODS skin for Challenger 1
  • USMC skin for M60A1
  • Asad Babil skin for T-72M1
  • Camouflage: U.S. (Gulf War)
  • Camouflage: Iraqi
  • Decal: U.S. Company
  • Decal: U.S. Cavalry
  • Decal: Company A
  • Decal: Company B
  • Base Paint: U.S. Iraq War Ochre
  • Base Paint: U.S. CARC (Gulf War)

You can see the skins on the images below:

There are of course some new assets as well:

  • Camouflage: Black Gold (after all, wasn’t it the oil what the war was about?)
  • Decal: 3rd Infantry Division
  • Flag: 3rd Infantry Division

This event will start tomorrow morning and will be available until May 30, 2025. Its rules are, once again, very simple. You can participate simply by destroying 5 enemy vehicles in PvE (or 1 in PvP) every day (while driving a Tier 3 vehicle or higher) in order to receive a reward.

But what about the other prizes and the players who own some of these items? We’re sure those of you who own some (or even all) of these will be happy as all the other prizes are Battle Coins for the Shadow Protocol Battle Path and every item on the list is compensated in bonus Battle Coins:

  • 500 extra Battle Coins for decals
  • 1000 extra Battle Coins for base paints
  • 2000 extra Battle Coins for skins

The event itself includes 14750 Battle Coins but you can also earn up to 18000 extra Battle Coins from compensations!

Please note:

  • This event may run concurrently with other events and is available to all players
  • You may only complete one objective per day
  • The event starts on April 29, 2025 and ends on May 30, 2025

We hope that you will enjoy this event and will see you on the battlefield!

Server Maintenance

On the 29th of April 2025, starting from 8:00 CEST, the server will not be available for 2 hours due to a planned server maintenance.

Please note that the maintenance can be extended beyond the abovementioned timeframe. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Scavenger Run is here!

Commanders!

Starting on April 25, you’ll be able to earn a major bonus to your next Gold purchase (even a truly massive one, like 80 percent) by participating in the Scavenger Run event.

In other words, in case you win such a bonus and buy 1.000 Gold, you’ll receive 1.800 Gold instead. And that can make one hell of a difference (please note, however, that the maximum amount of bonus Gold obtainable this way is 10.000 Gold).

Scavenger Run is, in its core, a very simple event. There are many ruined and abandoned objects across the world of Armored Warfare and your friendly neighborhood arms dealer ran across one of them.

You are now being hired to scout it out. On a small map, you choose one of three bases and then scout its three warehouses by clicking on them. Depending on your finds (determined randomly), you will receive a sizeable bonus to your next Gold purchase.

This event will be active for several days (the counter in Garage will always tell you how much time is left), so if you’re planning to stock on Gold for the next Battle Path or simply want to boost your progress right now, it’s the perfect opportunity to do so.

We hope that you’ll enjoy this new mechanic and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!
