Battle-Hardened Discounted Bundles

Commanders!

For today’s offer, we’ve prepared a series of Battle-Hardened bundles for four Chinese progression MBTs, including the Type 99A2. These discounted bundles contain Gold as well as the Battle-Hardened status, which will turn your Progression vehicle into a semi-Premium one by increasing its Credit income, Experience income, and by improving its matchmaking quality so that you meet lower Tier opponents in battle than usual, much like Premium vehicles do.

The discounted Battle-Hardened bundles are available for the following vehicles:
  • Type 99A2 Tier 10 MBT (50% discount)
  • Type 99A Tier 9 MBT (45% discount)
  • Type 99 Tier 8 MBT (35% discount)
  • VT-4 Tier 8 MBT (35% discount)

Please note that if you do not own the vehicle in question, you will receive the Battle Hardened status price in Gold instead.

We hope that you will enjoy the offer and, as always:

Contest: Famine Speedrun

Commanders!

With Update 0.36 deployed, the Special Operations mission “Famine” is now available with another piece of the Apocalypse season content coming soon – the Northern Wind Battle Path. Today, we’d like to offer you the opportunity to win the access to it in our newest contest.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

As its name suggests, the goal is actually very simple – gather a full team of five players and beat the Famine Special Operation mission on as fast as you can. There will be two categories – one for Tier 7 vehicles and another for Tier 9 vehicles.

Here’s how you can participate:
  • Assemble a team of five players (you included) and form a platoon
  • Play the Famine Special Operation and record your time until June 22, 23:59 CEST
  • Submit the result (along with a replay of your attempt) to the dedicated contest channel on Discord (make sure you read the detailed rules below)

There will be two winning teams in this event (one per category – Tier 7 and Tier 9). Each winning team will receive the access to the Northern Wind Battle Path.

Please note:
  • Only one submission per team will be accepted
  • Team composition cannot change and are considered locked from the moment of the first submission
  • Any changes in composition of a locked team will lead to the affected submissions being disqualified
  • Individual players who are already locked in one team cannot participate in this contest as a part of another team, such an attempt will lead to the entire new team’s disqualification (when in doubt, team leaders are advised to make sure their members are not locked with another team already by checking the previous submissions)
  • Each team must elect its leader, who will be responsible for submitting any results (submissions from other team members will not be accepted)
  • Each submission must therefore include: Team Leader Name, Team Members, Result Screenshot, Result Replay (from any of the team’s members)
  • Should two or more teams achieve the same time, the earliest submission takes precedence
  • All submitted battles must take place between the publication of this article and June 22, 23:59 CEST
  • Players who own the access already (for example by having purchased it during the pre-order period) will receive 2.999 Gold instead

Good luck, commanders, and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Offer: ZTQ-15 Loot Crates

Commanders!

The ZTQ-15 is now also available in Loot Crates!

The ZTQ-15 is the current most modern domestic Chinese Light Tank and is reserved for the Chinese military only with its export counterpart, VT-5, offered for export. The ZTQ-15 Light Tank is intended to be used in mountainous regions of China where standard MBTs are all but impossible to operate. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the ZTQ-15 is a Tier 9 Premium Light Tank. It combines excellent mobility with plenty of firepower as well as adequate protection for its Tier and vehicle class. It also features several neat elements that increase its value on the battlefield, such as its active suspension and the ability to launch guided missiles from its gun or its advanced ERA. For players who prefer fast-paced, high-risk and high-reward combat style, it’s one of the best options out there.

This vehicle is available via Loot Crates, which drop ZTQ-15 parts. Collect 100 ZTQ-15 parts from these Loot Crates to assemble the whole vehicle. This vehicle is also available directly at MY.GAMES Market.

We hope that you will enjoy the offer and, as always:

In Development: M8-120 Model Improvements

Commanders!

Since remarks regarding the visual aspect of the game are some of the most common pieces of feedback we are receiving from you, in today’s article, we’d like to tell you about the changes we are working on for the M8-120 Thunderbolt II model.

In many major (or even minor) updates’ patchnotes, you can read lines such as “Improved the visual quality of this vehicle’s model”, or “fixed a number of small visual issues.”

What this means is we overhaul the complete models where needed, but some models need only smaller fixes, such as textures, gun models and others. In this case, we took the M8-120 model and overhauled it as such:

The model is still based on the Armored Ground System program from the 1980s and 1990s instead of the more popular BAE Thunderbolt II demonstrator, overhauled for the ongoing Mobile Protected Firepower tender, so you may find different photos on the internet.

In our search, we used several photo sources available online. The core model isn’t really all that bad. It just needed some polishing to truly make it stand out. We fixed a number of textures though, as well as some smaller objects like the headlights.

The point of these fixes (and this article) is this – even a series of smaller improvements (that would be insignificant on their own) can lead to improved visual experience. You do not always need to overhaul every model from scratch to achieve high visual fidelity and the Thunderbolt II is one of such cases.

We hope that you will enjoy these improvements and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Historical Camouflages – Finland and Denmark

Commanders!

Aside from two Scandinavian (Norwegian and Swedish) camouflages, we are also working on specific camouflages belonging to two other northern countries – Finland and Denmark.

Military-wise, Finland is one of the most interesting countries on the planet. Politically, it spend much of the Second World War as a de-facto German ally against the Soviet Union only to switch sides at the end of it, following immense Soviet pressure. This led to a fairly unique and complex situation where post-war Finland was neither a Soviet ally, nor was it a part of the NATO, but it wasn’t “truly neutral” either.

One of the results was a mix of western and eastern tech in Finnish service. You could find all sorts of unexpected systems and their combinations in the Finnish military, including the T-72 series tanks, the CV9030 or the German Leopard 2 MBTs. Another result was that Finland wouldn’t obviously use the NATO camouflage – rather, it developed its own.

The Finnish Summer camouflage is historically an off-shoot of the same camouflage Sweden and Norway used. In fact, it likely came from the same program because some Swedish and Norwegian vehicles have been photographed with this camo applied.

The camouflage consists of wide light green, dark green and black stripes with sharp edges. The brown color is missing in this case, but otherwise the camouflage fulfills the same function, breaking vehicle silhouettes against the background of lush, coniferous forests. The vehicles that go nicely with it are the Leopard 2 series of tanks, the T-72M1, the BMP-2, or even the CV90, although Finland uses a different model than we will have in the game. This camouflage is used to this day.

The second camouflage we’d like to show you today is the Danish Summer pattern. It is actually very simple – a khaki base paint with very wide black stripes. Much like the Finnish camouflage, this too is applied to all sorts of vehicles in Danish service, including the 44 Leopard 2A7DK Main Battle Tanks and the CV9035DK IFVs.

Both these camouflages will be usable on all vehicles and for all environments. We do hope you’ll enjoy them and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!
