Update 0.90.10 Now Available

Artillery Overhaul

We are changing the way Artillery works in Armored Warfare to direct fire. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

General Changes
  • Exile Battle Path: Older diaries are now available for reading in each Diary entry
  • Exile Battle Path: Fixed an issue where some skins appeared in the Battle Path Shop as unavailable
  • Exile Battle Path: Fixed the icons of ZTL-11 blueprints
  • Exile Battle Path: Vehicles now correctly appear in Garage filter settings Improved the performance of top-attack ATGMs (TOW Aero, Javelin) by improving their penetration (this affects the following vehicles: C13 TUA, M1134, NM142, ZUBR PSP, AS21, Leclerc T40, RSTV Shadow, K21 and K-153C Raybolt)
  • Boxer CRV: Fixed the switch time between gun and ATGMs
  • Boxer CRV: Fixed a number of visual model issues
  • Boxer RIWP: Fixed an issue where the model wouldn’t sometimes properly display its launchers in combat
  • Boxer RIWP: Launchers and gun no longer clip into the hull when elevated or depressed
  • Boxer RIWP: Fixed the appearance of rockets in their pods
  • Boxer RIWP: Vehicle tracks in snow or sand no longer appear in front of the vehicle
  • Boxer RIWP: Vehicle now has a correct turret ring module
  • Boxer RIWP: Fixed a number of smaller visual model issues
  • M113 Hellfire: Players now can switch off one of the optional upgrades by selecting the “default” module configuration
  • T-80UM-1: Fixed the stock and improved shell damage (they were reversed)
  • TOS-1M: ERA is now correctly shown it this vehicle’s module interface
  • Rate of Decay: Fixed a few more cases of infantry spawning under ground
  • Rate of Decay: Woody’s destroyed Griffin now correctly despawns before his return (up to 50 times, increased from 16 times)
  • Rate of Decay: Woody’s garage rants no longer interfere with the introduction video
  • Rate of Decay: Fixed an issue where a hostile mortar spawned near a building and spent his time firing into its roof instead of at you
  • Fixed several UI issues connected to the Battle Path
  • Fixed a rare issue that caused the game to crash when loading a map
  • Fixed the missing Tutorial option for new players
  • Fixed some small visual issues
  • Fixed some small localization issues
  • Removed obsolete Battle Coin tokens from player inventory

Server Maintenance

On the 7th of December 2023, starting from 8:00 CET, the server will not be available for 4 hours due to a planned server maintenance.



Please note that the maintenance can be extended beyond the abovementioned timeframe. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Developer Diary: Artillery Overhaul Release

Commanders!

In Update 0.90.10, which also contains numerous Exile Battle Path fixes, we are also releasing a new feature – the long-awaited Artillery Overhaul.



For more details, please check out our previous article but, long story short, we are turning the entire SPG class into a sort of mobile direct-fire vehicles that deal damage by firing high-caliber HE and HEAT shells. With that being said:
  • SPGs will return to PvP
  • SPGs will retain the ability to fire smoke and white phosphorus shells
  • Abbot and Abbot VE were, based on your feedback, included in the overhaul
  • Msta-S (the only high-Tier Premium SPG) will remain as it is now (firing indirectly and being restricted to PvE)

As you probably remember, we have conducted a test of the feature some time ago and have since implemented the results and changes we told you about.

The change is therefore ready to be deployed and we expect the new contract to follow in early 2024 (taking into account the results of this release).

In Development: Past to the Present

Commanders!

Some of the most popular pieces of content that we are releasing are the Events. This is a broad term for a player activity that’s typically split between multiple tasks (“missions” or “stages”) with each stage featuring a reward. The recent Red Cold event is a great example (it’s worth noting that these are sometimes also referred to as “marathons” by players). However, the last event didn’t go all that well because of certain issues with mission cooldowns.



We’re therefore pleased to announce that we’re close to solving the issue and we’d like to tell you more about the next event we have prepared for you. The event’s called “Past to the Present”.

Given the recent Battle Path launch, the prizes of the Event are lore-themed and feature Perihelion camouflaged designed by... you, the players!

We have picked four of the best-looking camouflages from your submissions and have implemented them as prizes. In the order of obtainability, this is what we’ll have:

Perihelion (Autumn) camouflage was designed by player Zalost. It’ll be obtainable for reaching Stage 2.



Perihelion (Desert Tactical) camouflage was designed by player ALPH4_PR3D4T0R. It’ll be obtainable for reaching Stage 8.



Perihelion (Desert Scales) camouflage was designed by player TomcatSRB. It’ll be obtainable for reaching Stage 12.



And, finally:

Perihelion (Glacial Winter) camouflage was designed by player Princess_Luna. It’ll be obtainable for reaching Stage 17.



But that’s not all. Most stages will offer you bonus Battle Coins and the top prize of the event will be 1.000 Gold.
