• Leopard Revolution Tier 8 Premium Main Battle Tank
 • Camouflage Loot Crate with Spirithaven Raid skins
Between July 14 and July 21, 2022, the following items will be available:
Leclerc Tropicalisé Skin
This skin for the Leclerc Tier 9 Main Battle Tank is based on an export model for the United Arab Emirates. In real life, the vehicle features a number of improvements or modifications over the French model, but the in-game version simply adds this cool desert look to your Leclerc. You can read more in our dedicated article.

The skin is available as a part of the Tropicalisé Bundle, which contains the following items:
 • Tropicalisé skin for Leclerc
 • FORAD Blue base paint
 • 7 Platinum Loot Crates
 • 1.500 Gold
Glorieux Skin for Leclerc
Another realistic skin that we introduced based on your feedback is the Glorieux one. This skin for the Leclerc Tier 9 progression Main Battle Tank is based on one particular Leclerc MBT that took part in the KFOR operations in former Yugoslavia. Its unique camouflage along with other historical details makes it one of the best looking skins to date. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

This skin is available in two bundles. The first bundle includes:
 • Glorieux skin for Leclerc
 • White base paint (used by the French during U.N. peacekeeper missions, goes nicely with the next decal)
 • U.N. decal (appearing on various white-painted peacekeeper Leclerc MBTs)
 • KFOR decal (similar to the one on the Glorieux, only for all vehicles)
 • 2nd Armored Brigade decal (also seen on multiple French vehicles during various parades)

The second bundle includes:
 • Glorieux skin for Leclerc
 • White base paint (used by the French during U.N. peacekeeper missions, goes nicely with the next decal)
 • Battle-Hardened status for Lerclerc
 • 1.000 Gold

Please note that the bundles include the skin but not the Leclerc MBT itself. This tank needs to be obtained via progression directly in the game.
Bastille skin for Leclerc Prototype
Bastille is a French-themed skin for the Leclerc Prototype Tier 7 progression Main Battle Tank, celebrating the abovementioned holiday with the traditional French colors.

The skin is available as a part of the Bastille Bundle, which contains the following items:
 • Bastille skin for Leclerc Prototype
 • 3 Platinum Loot Crates
 • 500 Gold

Please note that this bundle does not contain the Leclerc Prototype Tier 7 MBT, only the skin itself.
Leclerc T40
Sometimes called the French Terminator, this vehicle was designed on the Leclerc MBT chassis with one purpose in mind – to accompany tanks and fight off infantry attacks the same way as the Russian BMPT series does. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Leclerc T40 is a Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. It offers you a combination of a durable hull, rapid-fire 40mm automatic cannon and, most importantly, the Javelin missile system. Simply right-click the target, wait until it becomes locket and fire the Javelin ATGM – it will home itself on the target, attacking its weak roof armor. Thanks to this ability, the Leclerc T40 is one of the most destructive vehicles in the game.
AMX-10 RCR
The AMX 10 RCR is the updated variant of the French AMX 10 RC fire support vehicle by GIAT, originally developed in the early 1980s. This light and nimble wheeled 6x6 AFV was armed with a 105mm gun, allowing it to knock out even armored targets at considerable distances. Over 200 of these aging vehicles were upgraded by Nexter in 2010 with improved armor and electronics, enabling them to fulfill modern battlefield tasks until their eventual replacement by the Jaguar. You can learn more about its history in our dedicated article!

In Armored Warfare, the AMX 10 RCR is a Tier 8 wheeled Premium Tank Destroyer. It’s incredibly agile with its wheeled chassis allowing it to outrun pretty much any enemy on the battlefield save for the fastest AFVs. Its gun accuracy is also top notch, making this vehicle perfect for sniper-style gameplay as its thin armor can’t protect it against enemy shells at close distances. This vehicle also comes with the Hydraulic Suspension active ability.

This vehicle is also available in a special bundle, which contains the following items:
 • AMX-10 RCR Tier 8 Premium TD
 • Vive la France skin for AMX-10 RCR
 • République skin for ERC-90 F4 Sagaie
 • 500 Gold
French Camouflages
We’ve also prepared two French historical camouflages. In reality, it’s pretty much one iconic camouflage with two different layouts that is most famous for its appearance on the Leclerc MBT. It consists of green, brown and black stripes and is available in two variants – one has the edges clearly defined while the other variant has them blurred. Both were observed on the Leclerc MBT, sometimes even on vehicles from the same series.

Please note that each of these camouflages can be installed on any vehicle that has the camouflage customization feature available (any vehicle with the exception of vehicles with permanent skins) and that each of these camouflages can be used in all three environments.
Panzer 87-140
The Panzer 87-140 is an experimental version of Panzer 87 (Swiss Leopard 2A4), fitted with a RUAG 140mm smoothbore cannon and an armor kit called WE. It was developed in the 1980s and early 1990s to counter the next generation of Soviet MBTs, but with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the project was shelved, only to resurface around 2005-2006 but never passing the experimental stage. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

In Armored Warfare, the Panzer 87-140 is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. Much like other Leopard series MBTs, it’s a long-range fighter with an extremely powerful gun and the ability to fire with pinpoint accuracy. Even though its armor leaves much to be desired, at long range, this MBT has few equals and can be considered one of the best snipers of its class.

The Panzer 87-140 Tier 10 Premium MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.
Leopard 2 Revolution
The Leopard 2 Revolution is a continuation of the older Evolution upgrade, intended to improve the performance of the older variants of the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank in order to make it excel even on the battlefields of the 21st century. The improvements include a comprehensive armor upgrade, ROSY soft-kill APS and smoke grenade launchers as well as an entire suite of cutting edge electronics. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Leopard 2 Revolution is a Tier 8 Main Battle Tank. It is not only well-armored, it also features an extremely accurate 120mm gun with advanced ammunition, allowing it to destroy its opponents at very long ranges, rivaling those of Tank Destroyers. The German tanks in general perform best at longer ranges and the Revolution is no exception.
Marder 2
The Marder 2 was an experimental German IFV, developed in the late 1980s to replace the aging Marder IFV. It featured more armor, a new turret and a brand-new Rheinmetall dual-caliber autocannon that could fire both 35mm and 50mm rounds. Despite its qualities, the vehicle was never accepted in service due to its high cost and because it was no longer needed because of the fall of the Soviet Union. A single surviving prototype can be found today in the Koblenz military collection. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Marder 2 is a Tier 8 Armored Fighting Vehicle. With its 44 tons, it’s one of the heaviest and toughest AFVs around. Unlike many other AFVs of its Tier, it is not armed with guided missiles, relying instead on its extremely powerful 50mm autocannon. This vehicle can also deploy Mechanized Infantry.
Camouflage Loot Crate
Today, we’re launching another Camouflage Loot Crate on MY.GAMES Market.

As its name suggests, this new Loot Crate contains various camouflages and skins. This iteration contains the following new ones:
 • Skin: Kraken (K2)
 • Skin: Archangel (XM1A3)
 • Skin: Revenant (Wilk XC-8)
 • Skin: Hellbeast (Leclerc T4)

We’re implementing a new mechanic to the MY.GAMES Market Loot Crates (no worries – the in-game crates will remain the same). The mechanic is simple – instead of purchasing the Loot Crates, you purchase keys to them, which you then use to unlock them.

However, please note:
 • Discounts do not apply to Loot Crates, but rather to Keys
 • It is possible to buy multiple keys for a single chest type
 • Keys belong to individual Loot Crates (that is, a key to a Commander Loot Crate purchased now is not guaranteed to work on a Commander Loot Crate a month down the line)
 • Keys can be found in a separate Market section

We hope that you will enjoy the offer and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Server Maintenance

On the 14th of July 2022, starting from 8:00 CEST, the server will not be available for 2 hours due to a planned server maintenance.

Please note that the maintenance can be extended beyond the abovementioned timeframe. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The in-game Global Chat is still temporarily disabled. To communicate with the community, please visit our Discord channel.

In Development: Samurai’s Honor

Commanders!

Aside from the Rise of the Dragon Battle Path, we’re working on a summer event that’s going to be free for everyone, Japan-themed and called “Samurai’s Honor.”

The event will work much like the previous one – you’ll advance through a number of stages to win the main prize, which – in this case – will be the Type 74 Tier 5 Premium Main Battle Tank.

This vehicle was previously available during the Enigma’s Legacy Battle Path and if you have it already, you’ll receive its price in Gold instead.

But that’s, of course, not the only prize of the event. The following items also await you:
 • New historical skin for the Type 74 MBT
 • 5 epic Japanese camouflages
 • 3 Japanese unit decals
 • Badass samurai avatar
 • Premium Time, Loot Crates and boosters

As you can see, we’ve ramped up the amount and quality of prizes. Not to worry though – the rules will remain the same. You’ll still only need to complete a daily objective by winning 3 matches in any standard mode (while driving a Tier 3 vehicle or higher) in order to receive a reward, as usual.

And that’s pretty much it. We’ll show you the camouflages in the near future and are looking forward to your feedback.

See you on the battlefield!

In Development: VN17

Previous articles:

Commanders!

Today, we’d like to tell you more about another prize of the Rise of the Dragon Battle Path – the Chinese VN17 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle.

As its name suggests, the VN17 Armored Fighting Vehicle is intended primarily for export and was first shown to the public during a NORINCO military exhibition that took place in the August of 2017 in Inner Mongolia in front of 230 guests from 50 different countries. Indeed, such shows are intended to pitch modern Chinese vehicles to foreign customers, mostly from Asia, South America and Africa. The star of the show was the VT-5 Light Tank to which the VN17 is related.

Simply put, the VN17 is based on a modified VT-5 hull. Instead of putting a flat engine to the back of the vehicle (as is the case in older Soviet and Russian IFVs), the developers have reversed the VT-5 hull and put the engine to its front with the driver sitting next to it. The rest of the vehicle is fairly conventional and it meets all modern battlefield standards. The vehicle weighs roughly 30 tons, has a crew of 3 men and carries 7 troops inside. Its basic hull is made of steel but the IFV is quite well-protected thanks to additional armor elements. Its frontal part can very likely withstand the fire from 30mm autocannons. The vehicle is also fitted with what is presumably ERA, and cage armor.

The turret is unmanned (the crew is sitting under it) and is armed with 30mm ZPZ02 autocannon (a copy of the Russian 2A72) as well as a pair of HJ-12 (Red Arrow 12) ATGM launchers (one on each side of the turret). The missiles are 127mm thick and weigh 17kg. They are fitted with a tandem warhead and can penetrate 1100mm of armor.

The FCS is also based on the one from the VT-5, as are other electronics – most of them cutting edge, giving the vehicle (for example) the hunter-killer ability. The commander has a panoramic sight at his disposal, the gunner station is equipped with a current generation thermal imager.

It is powered by the same engine as the VT-5, the FX0012 diesel producing 1000hp, allowing it to go as fast as 70 km/h. According to other sources, however, the vehicle is only powered by an 883hp copy of a MTU turbodiesel engine due to size restrictions (the MTU diesel is more compact). It’s unclear which version is true. It’s also worth noting the vehicle cannot swim.

Unfortunately, since its debut, the VN17 has been unable to find any customers. The reasons for it can be speculated about but they are likely connected to the high cost of the system compared to what an average third world country can afford. At this moment, it remains a prototype only, its status unknown.

In Armored Warfare, the VN17 will be a Tier 8 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle.

As IFVs go, this one will be on the heavier side and will feature decent armor. The IFV will share the armor values with the VT-5 Light Tank so if you’re familiar with that one, you’ll feel right at home here. The same will go for the mobility – our version will be powered by an 883hp diesel, giving it decent agility (46 deg/s), acceleration (2.92s from 0 to 32 km/h) and the maximum speed of 85 km/h.

The weaponry will match its Tier, especially the missiles:
 • 30mm autocannon firing APFSDS rounds (370mm penetration, 55 damage per shot and the damage per minute value around 15000)
 • Tandem HEAT ATGM (1100mm penetration, 750 damage per shot)

As for the utility values, this IFV will feature 30% camouflage factor, 460m view range on the move and 495m view range while standing. It will of course be able to deploy Mechanized Infantry or mark its targets with the Designate Target active ability.

In summation, the VN17 will be a reliable and tough IFV that will also be able to deal decent damage even to heavily armored targets thanks to its powerful missiles. Its toughness combined with the ease of use will make it a viable vehicle even for the players who are new to Armored Warfare. We hope you will enjoy it and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!
