[p]Commanders![/p][p]During our recent launch of the Rough Riders Battle Path pre-order, many questions were raised about the Battle Path’s requirements that we’d like to summarily address in this article.[/p][p][/p][p]Right off the bat, let’s look at the economy. We did several things differently compared to the previous Battle Paths.[/p]

• [p]We shifted the focus back from missions to the main progression, thus increasing the prices of later Battle Path levels[/p]
• [p]In addition to providing a large number of new prizes like in earlier Battle Paths, we also added a number of existing assets to the level progression, for which existing players are compensated (some of them are available even new through the Battle Path shop for example and, in this sense, can be considered a Battle Coin transfer to the new Battle Path)[/p]
• [p]We repurposed the missions – instead of being objectives by themselves with their separate rewards, they now serve to provide players with more Battle Coins[/p]

[p]Overall, the economy looks as follows:[/p]

• [p]Chain missions (which will require Light Tanks in various Tier brackets) will provide bonus 20.000 Battle Coins and have been tuned to become easier to complete[/p]
• [p]Compensations for existing items will reach up to 65.000 Battle Coins with each existing asset offering 1.500 Battle Coins as a compensation – the amount was tuned based on the number of extra items added to the Battle Path (with Commander Diaz getting a special high compensation prize)[/p]
• [p]Another free event (much like Operation Liberty) will launch during the Rough Riders Battle Path to provide extra Battle Coins and many extra boosters[/p]
• [p]At the same time, the total cost of passing the entire Rough Riders main content from Level 1 to Level 50 increased by 75.000 Battle Coins. Please note that this by itself is nowhere near new or unprecedented as, even without overprogression, some previous Battle Paths had even higher requirements[/p]

[p]As a result, for players who own some of the American items provided in this Battle Path, the progression may even be easier than the current Battle Path.[/p][p]A separate issue is that of the entry price. We understand that this is a sensitive topic for many of you, especially with what’s going on in the industry right now. It has been a difficult decision for us as well, but we would love to win you over with the Battle Path content we will highlight in the future, such as:[/p]

• [p]New skins and prizes[/p]
• [p]New gameplay features of the vehicles[/p]
• [p]Light tank buffs – and not just the reward ones featured in Rough Riders, of course[/p]
• [p]The yet-unannounced system partially tied to the XM1302[/p]

[p]We will post more about these before the launch of the event itself so that you can see for yourselves whether what we have prepared for you is worth your time.[/p][p]And, last but definitely not least, we’d like to thank you for all your feedback as well as your continued support that inspires us to continue working on this game even a decade after its launch. With its solid firepower, excellent armor and decent mobility, this vehicle is suitable for all players, including fairly new ones. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Typhoon-VDV[/h2][p][/p][p]The Typhoon-VDV is a modern Russian reconnaissance and special use vehicle. It is perhaps the best-armed version of the Typhoon platform, featuring a Spitsa turret. Several vehicles of this type have been built and are currently in use by the Russian military. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the Typhoon-VDV is a Tier 10 Premium AFV. It is a powerful vehicle on its own, featuring high firepower in the form of 30mm autocannon and an ATGM launcher with two tubes loaded with thermobaric missiles that can be launched both at once. Its task on the battlefield is supporting other scout vehicles by increasing their spotting capabilities thanks to a new active ability.[/p][p]The Typhoon-VDV Tier 10 Premium AFV is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Armata 152[/h2][p][/p][p]The Armata 152 is a version of the T-14 Armata, armed with larger cannon. One of the upgrades considered for the T-14 Armata was the increase of its caliber to 152mm in order to absolutely, positively destroy anything with the first shot. The 2A83 smoothbore is a behemoth of a gun, designed in the last days of the Soviet empire for the next generation of super-tanks. It’s massive, heavy and quite costly to produce, but, most importantly, it was never truly needed to deal with the western MBTs since the standard 125mm guns were (and still are) up to the task. That is why it never found its way on any Soviet MBT with even the standard T-14 Armata being armed with an improved 125mm cannon. Learn more about it in a dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the T-14 Armata 152 is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. While not firing as fast as its 125mm counterpart, the 152mm rounds do enormous damage, often eliminating weaker opponents with a single shot. And then there’s the platform itself – the Armata, the most modern Main Battle Tank in the world. [p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Kurganets-25[/h2][p][/p][p]The Kurganets-25 Infantry Fighting Vehicle is intended as a cutting edge future replacement to the old BMP series in Russian service. While not as chunky and expensive as the T-15 Armata super-heavy IFV, it’s designed to finally offer the 21st century protection levels the Russian military has been demanding for a long time. However, the design turned out to be quite expensive and while it is currently undergoing state trials, it is unlikely to be ever mass-produced. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the Kurganets-25 is a Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. Even though it offers decent protection and mobility for its class, this vehicle is all about firepower. To make sure you always have the right tool for the job, it comes with three distinctive weapon systems – a 57mm autocannon for light targets, fast and small Bulat missiles for highly mobile targets and, finally, full-sized ATGMs that can defeat pretty much anything on the battlefield. If dealing damage is your thing, few vehicles will match your playstyle better.[/p][p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Msta-S[/h2][p][/p][p]The Msta-S SPG was developed as a replacement to the older 2S3 Akatsiya. The goal was to match (or surpass) the newly developed NATO artillery pieces with long 155mm guns. The production began in 1988 and is currently ongoing with a modernized variant rolling out for the Russian military. More than 500 Msta-S SPGs are still in Russian service and dozens were exported to several other countries. It has seen some combat during the Second Chechen War and the War in Donbass. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the Msta-S is a Tier 9 Self-Propelled Gun, which makes it only usable in the Global Operations mode and in PvE. It comes with two shell types – a slow-flying one with a high flight arc, and a fast-flying one for use against more mobile targets.[/p][p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Khrizantema-S[/h2][p][/p][p]The Khrizantema-S is a dedicated tank hunter, built on a modified BMP-3 hull. The first Khrizantema-S prototype appeared in public as early as 1996 with the initial production variant (9P157) entering service in 2005. Around 2010, an upgraded variant called 9P157-2 appeared with a modernized Ukrainian optics system and a hull machinegun the original model lacked. This variant was in use until 2017. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the Khizantema-S is a Tier 8 Premium Tank Destroyer. It is quite a stealthy vehicle armed with a twin ATGM launcher. The key to achieving excellent results with this machine is long-range ATGM sniping followed by rapid relocation. The missiles are quite powerful and make hits easy thanks to their excellent performance.[/p][p]This bundle is available in our Web Shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Gadyuka[/h2][p][/p][p]The Gadyuka (“Viper”) is a Soviet-era fire support vehicle consisting of a T-72A hull and turret but instead of the main gun, the vehicle is armed with two 30mm autocannons and two rocket pods in order to perform better against infantry in urban and mountainous environments. A single prototype was built in 1996 and even though the project was cancelled, it eventually led to the rise of the BMPT Terminator series. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.[/p][p][/p][p]In Armored Warfare, the Gadyuka is a Tier 6 Premium Tank Destroyer. Despite having only average protection, its two 30mm autocannons can, along with deadly rocket salvos, rip through enemy vehicles with ease. [p]Commanders![/p][p]Today, we’d like to tell you more about the upcoming Rough Riders Battle Path campaign as a whole along with the changes and improvements we’ve prepared for you.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Preorder[/h2][p][/p][p]You can now secure the access to the Battle Path early (and with preorder-exclusive items) in the Web Shop “Battle Path” section. The rewards will therefore be theme-appropriate, but there’s also a different theme at play here.[/p][p]There will be 50 levels of waiting for you as usual. Let’s start with the vehicles:[/p]

• [p]ELKE Tier 7 Premium LT for reaching Level 20 (featuring an elevated weapons station allowing you to ambush your enemies with ease)[/p]
• [p]RDF/LT Ares Tier 8 Premium LT for reaching Level 35 (featuring powerful missile launchers as well as 75mm gun)[/p]
• [p]XM1302 Tier 10 Premium LT for reaching Level 50 (featuring new “Mitigation” passive ability – the faster you go, the less damage you take)[/p]

If you own any of these rewards already, you’ll receive Battle Coins instead, making your progression through the Battle Path faster.[/p][p]But that is still not all. After all, what would a Battle Path be without a commander? Commander Anthony Diaz will be making an appearance after nearly a decade of exile. You may have forgotten him but he has not forgotten you! This rugged commander has a set of versatile skills that make him suitable for a lot of vehicles.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]There are a few players who acquired his services in the past. To recognize their long service, these players will be rewarded with a lot of Battle Coins if they own Anthony Diaz.[/p][p][/p][h2]What else is new?[/h2][p][/p][p]The missions have been overhauled once again. This time, the missions will require Light Tanks, so better stock up on those – or use those you acquire from the Battle Path, they should perform fine in their new upgraded forms. Instead of high-stakes challenges, the missions have become a source of additional Battle Path boosters, Battle Coins and other goodies (and are therefore easier to complete than before).[/p][p]And, last but not least, we have added a couple of things to the Battle Path shop as usual – for the standardized prizes, of course. The rest of the Battle Path remains mostly the same. The Battle Path is currently planned to launch in the second half of July but, as usual, the specific date will be announced a bit later. Aside from being a powerful all-rounder, this vehicle’s special ability allows it to deploy all regular types of infantry, something no other MBT in the game can do.
