Commanders!

This week, we’ve prepared another set of attractive items for you:

 • K1A1 Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tank along with Korean camouflage
 • Type 90 Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tank along with Japanese camouflage
 • K21 Tier 8 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle
 • Enigma’s Legacy Loot Crate with Battle Coins and Battle Coin Boosters
Between September 3 and September 10, 2020, the following items will be available:
AFT-10
The AFT-10 is a tracked ATGM carrier based on a ZBD-04 IFV hull that carries eight massive Red Arrow-10 guided missiles. In their latest version, these modern ATGMs are capable of devastating even the most modern MBTs at extreme distances and the AFT-10 was designed to do just that – to stop enemy assaults dead in their tracks. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the AFT-10 is a Tier 10 Premium Tank Destroyer. Its massive ATGM launcher immediately draws comparison with another Tier 10 vehicle, the Kornet-EM. But where Kornet-EM is all about speed, stealth and missile ambushes, the AFT-10 is about one thing and one thing only – uncompromising firepower. It is capable of unleashing devastating missile salvos that can knock out even Tier 10 MBTs in seconds. Additionally, its missiles have a very high penetration value, which means that no matter the angle, no target is truly safe from its reach.

The AFT-10 Tier 10 Premium TD is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.
K1A1
The K1A1 is an upgraded version of the older South-Korean K1 MBT. It’s a very distant relative of the Abrams MBT with the main difference being the presence of a hydro-pneumatic suspension, allowing the vehicle to tilt itself forward, backward and to the sides.

In Armored Warfare, the K1A1 is a Tier 7 Premium MBT. The combination of a 120mm gun, good mobility and solid armor (all of them roughly the same as the M1A1 has) as well as the ability to mark enemy targets for increased damage make it powerful opponent even in its basic form with additional upgrades readily available.

The K1A1 is also available in the South Korean bundle, which contains:
 • K1A1 Tier 7 Premium MBT
 • Korean camouflage
 • Korean "Squad Leader" decal

You can learn more about the Korean camouflage in our dedicated article.

Historical Comparison (K1A1 with camouflage):
Type 90
The Type 90 is the current service main battle tank of the Japanese Self-Defense Force. On the outside, it vaguely resembled the German Leopard 2, but inside, the vehicle’s completely different. It was adequately armed and armored for the time it was developed in, but what made it really stand out were its cutting-edge Japanese electronics and its hydraulic suspension, allowing the tank to tilt itself forward or backward, enhancing its gun elevation and depression beyond what the turret would normally allow. This trait was considered to be an important for Japan, as much of its landmass is covered by mountainous areas. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Type 90 is a Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tank. Gameplay-wise, it resembles the Leopard 2 and Abrams version of the same Tier. The difference between the Leopard and the Type 90 MBT lie in the presence of an automatic loading mechanism – otherwise, the firepower and protection levels is roughly the same with the Japanese tank having a little less armor, compensated by more module hitpoints. Overall, it is not the best-protected MBT on the battlefield, requiring careful long-range gameplay. However, the advanced electronics installed in this tank as well as its hydraulic suspension allow it to aim faster than all its class and Tier counterparts.

The Type 90 is also available in the Japanese bundle, which contains:
 • Type 90 Tier 7 Premium MBT
 • Japanese camouflage
 • Two Japanese decals
 • Japanese red flag

You can learn more about the Japanese camouflage in our dedicated article.

Historical Comparison (Type 90 with camouflage, decal and red flag):
K21
The K21 is a modern Infantry Fighting Vehicle, designed to replace the K200 series in the Korean Army. It features good protection and a hi-tech weapon system with the "hunter-killer" capability. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the K21 is a Tier 8 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. In the game, it is an IFV with solid protection and firepower, but also excellent mobility. It carries Mechanized Infantry.

Back to School Gift

Commanders!

The summer of 2020 is almost over – and what an exciting summer it was. Between the pandemic, riots and murder hornets, perhaps too exciting. Nevertheless, it’s high time to get back to school desks to learn a thing or two.

Military service too is mostly about learning and training, which is why we’ve prepared for you a gift consisting of a camouflage and decals connected to various training units and exercises. It contains:
 • Czechoslovak camouflage
 • United States Army Armor School decal
 • Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation decal
 • 460th "Bnei Or" Armor Brigade (IDF armor training unit)

The Czechoslovak camouflage is based on a real-life camo from the 1960s and 1970s that appeared on Czechoslovak T-54 and T-55 tanks during various exercises. You can read more in a dedicated article.

The United States Army Armor School is a training facility and unity located in Fort Benning, Georgia. It was founded in 1940 under the supervision of General Adna Chaffee and continues to exist to this day, preparing the crews for various U.S. armored vehicles such as the Abrams, Bradley or the Stryker.

The Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is also a military school, located in Moscow, where future Russian officers are trained for various kinds of service, including armor. It was formed in 1998 by unifying three considerably older institutions and therefore also has a long tradition going as far as 1918. Before its establishment, armor training was conducted at the Malinovsky Military Armored Forces Academy, a Soviet era training facility in Moscow, which was founded in 1932.

And last but not least, there’s the 460th "Bnei Or" Armor Brigade of the IDF. The name stands for “Sons of Light” and it was established in 1974, shortly after the Yom Kippur War. Its actual tradition is even older though as the first Israeli tanker training unit was founded in 1948 and the brigade continues to walk in its footsteps. The unit is currently based in the Shizafon Camp military base north of Eilat and is known to operate, amongst other vehicles, the Merkava Mk.4 Main Battle Tanks.

You can obtain the gift until September 3, 2020 on MY.GAMES Market.

We hope that you will enjoy the gift and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!
