Today, we have an important update for you. As you already know, in response to the currently unfolding world-wide COVID-19 epidemic, we’ve taken some measures to keep our staff safe. However, we do not care just about our developers – we care about all of you and want you all to be as safe as you can given the circumstances. That is why we’d like you to stay home as much as you can. However, being isolated can be a difficult experience and we would, of course, like to make it as easy as possible for you.

The Spring Clean-Up contest is over and, thanks to your contributions, we managed to track down and fix more than two hundred issues with English localization of the game.



We’d like to thank all of you for your help in cleaning the Armored Warfare up. The results of this contest will appear in the game with the next hotfix. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to correct a portion of the submitted issues for various reasons (mostly because they were connected to UI development rather than localization), but we have passed such submissions to the people responsible for that particular branch of development.

However, there were some of you who are responsible for the lion’s share of corrections.

The first amongst those is, without any doubt, Bareideru with roughly a hundred individual submissions. As promised, he’ll receive the K21 Tier 8 Premium AFV (unless he opts for another vehicle).

With that being said, we decided to also reward the other players who submitted significant amounts of valid feedback:

Between March 19 and March 26, 2020, the following items will be available:


[h2]M50 Ontos[/h2]


M50 Ontos is a fire support vehicle equipped with six recoilless guns. It was designed as a highly mobile platform to enhance the U.S. troop firepower during the Vietnam War and it served its purpose well. The Vietnamese dreaded it especially in urban combat, where a single salvo from this small but incredibly powerfully armed vehicle could level an entire building (along with anyone in it). In more than one case, the sight of an Ontos approaching sent the Vietnamese running without it even having to fire a single shot. You can read more about this vehicle in our dedicated article.



In Armored Warfare, the M50 Ontos is a Tier 4 Premium Tank Destroyer. It is one of the most unique vehicles in the game in the sense of being incredibly powerfully armed for its Tier. The rapid fire of its six recoilless guns is absolutely devastating and the Ontos is quite mobile too, although these traits are balanced by its thin armor. In summation, it is an effective ambusher that can deal a lot of damage, but has to retreat to reload since emptying its guns leaves it quite vulnerable.






[h2]M1A1 Storm[/h2]


In 1985, the Abrams was upgraded with, amongst other things, the 120mm M256 smoothbore cannon. Over 5000 M1A1 tanks were produced until 1992. This tank participated in Operation Desert Storm, which forged its legendary reputation.



In Armored Warfare, the M1A1 Storm is a Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tank. The M1A1 Storm look was inspired by Operation Desert Storm, including a gorgeous camouflage net model. But, more importantly, this tank is equipped with a massive frontal dozer blade, adding extra armor and ramming damage to the long list of its advantages.






[h2]VT-5[/h2]


The VT-5 is a modern Chinese Light Tank that was developed specifically with export in mind. There are many reasons why a country without its own tank development should opt to purchase a Light Tank instead of a full-scale Main Battle Tank. It’s equally as fast if not faster with equal firepower but, what is most important, it is affordable. The VT-5 excels in all these categories. While its armor cannot match that of an MBT, it can protect its crew against most infantry threats thanks to its ERA and cage armor sets. It also has a powerful 105mm gun capable of firing guided missiles, it is packed with advanced electronics and is supremely agile thanks to its 1000hp diesel engine. Simply put, wraps cutting edge technologies up into an affordable bundle. You can learn more about it in a dedicated article.



In Armored Warfare, the VT-5 is a very powerful Tier 9 Premium Light Tank. Fast and agile, it features solid levels of protection (the configuration in the game is the one featuring the ERA kit as well as the turret cage armor) and a good rate of fire. Additionally, its gun is capable of firing guided missiles. It’s an ideal machine for players who value speed and agility, as it offers plenty of both. The VT-5 is capable of dancing around its opponents on the battlefield, outperforming even some AFVs in mobility.






[h2]Sentinel Skins[/h2]


The Sentinel skins are available for the following vehicles: XM1A3, Stingray 2, M1128 Stryker and M2A3 Bradley. They are inspired by the imagery of U.S. Air Force stealth fighter jets.



Please note that these bundles include the skins only, not the vehicles themselves, which need to be obtained separately.
