Tank Encyclopedia

In this update, we are introducing the Global Directory feature, otherwise known as Tank Encyclopedia. It contains the full list of Armored Warfare vehicles and can be accessed from the Vehicles tab by clicking the Global Vehicle Directory in the lower left corner.

The directory can be sorted using the filters on the right side of the screen. Basic statistics for each vehicle are available upon mouseover. More options (including detailed characteristics, history and module configuration) can be selected by right-clicking each vehicle.

Developer Update: Battle Coins Expiration

Commanders!

One of the most common questions posed to our Community Managers is that of what becomes of leftover Age of Rage Battle Coins.

As was stated in the initial Age of Rage Battle Path FAQ, Battle Coins will not carry over to the next Battle Path campaign. This rule has two exceptions that will remain available for the next Battle Path:
  • The 15.000 Battle Coin bundles that drop from the Elite Loot Crates, available as Level 51-60 rewards
  • Battle Coin Boost tokens

All other Battle Path progress elements will get a reset at the end of this Battle Path. Therefore:

Please make sure you spend your remaining Battle Coins before the end of the Age of Rage Battle Path (September 30, 2019)!

The exact remaining time is shown on the main Age of Rage Battle Path screen in your Garage.

We hope that you enjoyed this Battle Path campaign and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

American Dream Bonuses and Offers

Commanders!

The American Dream season is now available and it’s time to celebrate the occasion with another round of awesome gifts, bonuses and offers, so let’s dive right into the thick of it!

Between September 26 and October 1, 2019, the following bonus will be available:
  • 50% extra Battle Coin income from all battles

Please note that this is the final Battle Coin bonus for this Battle Path.

You can also pick up a gift on MyLoot until October 3. The gift contains the following items:
  • 5 Gold Loot Crates
  • 1 Type 99A2-140 Loot Crate with blueprints

And last but not least, we are offering several interesting items with major discounts:
  • A bundle of four Sentinel skins
  • Type 99A2-140 Tier 10 Premium MBT in blueprint Loot Crates in our Web Shop
  • Abrams AGDS Tier 9 Premium TD directly on MyLoot

Sentinel Skins

The Sentinel skins are available for the following vehicles: XM1A3, Stingray 2, M1128 Stryker and M2A3 Bradley. They are inspired by the imagery of U.S. Air Force stealth fighter jets – a perfect fit for the Area 51 battlefield that is coming in the American Dream Special Operation.

Type 99A2-140

The Type 99A2-140 is an experimental version of the most advanced Chinese Main Battle Tank in existence – the Type 99A. Unlike its production counterpart, however, it is not armed with a 125mm smoothbore, but massive 140mm smoothbore cannon. This is a theoretical upgrade to the vehicle – while the People’s Republic of China was considering upgrading the firepower of its Main Battle Tanks to face latest western and Russian MBT models, a 140mm gun was never installed on this chassis and was only mentioned in passing by certain Chinese sources. Now, however, your enemies will have the opportunity to experience what such a vehicle with you in command would be like to face in battle!

In Armored Warfare, the Type 99A2-140 is a rather unique Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. It is essentially a version of the progression Type 99A2 Tier 10 MBT with one difference – the 140mm gun, trading its rate of fire for penetration and single shell damage. It is very fast and mobile (with its maximum speed being well over 90 km/h), protected by ERA and APS both and capable of using an acceleration-boosting active ability that pushes its engine far beyond the limits of common Main Battle Tanks. If used right, the vehicle is extremely deadly and one of the best Tier 10 MBTs on the battlefields of Armored Warfare.

Collect 100 blueprints from these Loot Crates to obtain the vehicle!

Abrams AGDS

The Abrams AGDS (Armored Ground Defense System) was a vehicle concept and proposal, drafted in July 1996 by Dr. Asher H. Sharoni (a former colonel in the Israeli Defense Forces) and Lawrence D. Bacon from a Californian company called Western Design Howden. It was supposed to be an air-defense vehicle, protecting the Abrams formations against flying threats, although its weaponry can be deployed against ground targets as well. The United States were, at the time, sorely lacking a vehicle comparable to the Russian Shilka and one of the ideas was to use the Abrams chassis paired with a new turret to produce an armored AA gun that would be able to keep up with the American tank units. This plan was never realized and the vehicle stayed only on paper but you can play the Abrams AGDS in Armored Warfare and experience what it would have been like, had it ever been deployed.

In Armored Warfare, the Abrams AGDS is a very unique Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer. What makes it so special are its two large guided missile launchers capable of firing an incredibly devastating volley within seconds. The AGDS can devastate practically every opponent on the battlefield with a single salvo, making it one of the best and most effective mid-to-long range vehicles in the game. At close ranges, it can rely on excellent frontal turret protection and its two 35mm autocannons to keep enemies at bay until the missile launcher reloads to unleash another deadly swarm of missiles. The Abrams AGDS is one of the most feared vehicles in Armored Warfare!

We hope that you will enjoy the bonus, gifts and offers and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

T-14 Armata Overhaul

Based on their performance in battles, we have decided to improve the characteristics of the T-14 Armata MBT and its Hades counterpart as such:
  • Their 125mm HE shells now ignore various cage armor types and thin spaced armor layers the same way as Leclerc’s advanced HE shells do
  • The Stabilizer module was replaced by Improved FCS (reducing aim time)

Furthermore, the Sprinter ATGM was replaced by a better one called Sokol-B. The Sokol-B ATGM comes with a HEAT-MP warhead (dealing more damage) and the self-homing ability. It comes, however, with another fairly special mechanic:
  • Up until 375 meters, it acts as a normal ATGM
  • At 375 meters, the missile starts to climb, switching to a Javelin-like high trajectory
  • From 375 onwards, it acts as a top-down attack ATGM (much like the Javelin), targeting and penetrating the roof armor of most MBTs
General Changes
  • Fixed a number of issues that caused the client to crash and stabilized the game by a great deal
  • Fixed a number of issues that caused lags, slow UI performance in the Garage and vehicles stuck in battles
  • Fixed the performance of Wilk XC-8’s PELE round against internal modules and crew members by correcting its bugged module damage bonus from 0% to the intended 50% and by increasing the effect cone from 30 degrees to 60 degrees
  • Also fixed the Wilk XC-8’s anti-crew and anti-module damage bonus of HE, HEAT and HEAT-MP shell types by correcting the values from 0% to the intended 50%, 25% and 35% respectively
  • Improved the way Commander area effect skills work so that when your vehicle is within the effect radius of multiple commander area effect skills from different players and you also have a commander with such a skill in your vehicle, you will receive a bonus from your own commander’s area effect skill in addition to the strongest effect of the same skill from a different commander
  • In connection with the end of the Age of Rage Battle Path, we have removed the Battle Coins drop from the War Games Loot Crate (the existing War Games Loot Crate Battle Coin bundles in your inventory do not carry over to the next Battle Path, but can now be sold for 10.000 Credits each)
  • M48 GAU-8: fixed an issue where the visual rate of fire and the actual one of this vehicle’s rotary cannon did not match
  • M48 GAU-8: fixed an issue where the firing sound was the same regardless of the rate of fire mode selected
  • American Dream, Special Operation 1: Fixed an issue where the secondary objective to protect your forward base would appear too soon
  • American Dream, Special Operation 1: Fixed an issue where some AI opponents between the Crossroads and the Airfield parts of the map would not spawn correctly
  • American Dream, Special Operation 1: Fixed an issue where the final cutscene would sometimes play with wrong voiceover
  • Fixed an issue where some skin tooltips would not correctly display the module setup that came with them
  • Fixed a small issue with the autocannon firing sound (emptying a clip would end with a dry click)
  • As promised, players who did not manage to complete the fourth stage of the Moscow Contest achievement (complete the Moscow Contract four times) with 50 or fewer points missing (Moscow Contract status of 250 points or higher) will receive the achievement along with one Moscow Loot Crate
  • Added a number of assets for upcoming events
