Historical Skins – M1A2 SEP v3 PL

Commanders!

Each year on the 15th of August, Poland celebrates the Armed Forces day, commemorating the anniversary of the 1920 Battle of Warsaw, where the Polish military defeated the Red Army invading forces. For this year, we’ve prepared a skin called M1A2 SEP v3 PL for the M1A2C Tier 9 MBT.

As a part of a huge military hardware acquisition drive started by the recent events, Poland decided to purchase a large amount of American hardware. In the recent years, Poland has been a close political ally of the United States of America and it is therefore not surprising that it is building a military relationship with it, spending billions of zloty on American weapons.

One of the largest pats of the acquisition plan is the purchase of hundreds of Abrams tanks. In April 2022, Poland signed a contract for 250 modern M1A2 SEP v3 MBTs (called M1A2C in American service) to be delivered between 2025 and 2026. These are intended to replace the aging Soviet era tanks in Polish service (many of which have been transferred to Ukraine). The bulk of these vehicles should go to the 18th Mechanized Division “Tadeusz Buk” and the 1st Warsaw Armored Brigade “Tadeusz Kościuszko”.

Following the abovementioned contract, Poland also signed a second Abrams deal in January 2023 – this time for 116 M1A1 FEP MBTs. These should be available sooner than the M1A2s (which need an overhaul) – in fact, 14 of these have been already delivered in June 2023 and 24 more are expected to arrive in 2024. The M1A1 FEP version is a U.S. Marines variant of the M1A1 AIM. It included a refurbishment and improved sensors and communications equipment.

For our skin, we decided to go with the M1A2C because this tank doesn’t have any skins available yet. Aside from the standard Polish camouflage, the tank bears the insignia of the 1st Warsaw Armored Brigade “Tadeusz Kościuszko” (a mermaid carrying a sword and a shield).

This skin will be obtainable by playing Polish vehicles in Armored Warfare. The specific conditions will be announced a bit later. We hope that you’ll enjoy it and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Server Maintenance

On the 15th of August 2023, starting from 8:00 CEST, the server will not be available for 5 hours due to a planned server maintenance.

Please note that the maintenance can be extended beyond the abovementioned timeframe. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Challenger 2 Streetfighter II
The Streetfighter II is an upgrade program to overhaul the venerable Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank for the conditions of modern battlefields, especially urban combat. It features a number of improvements and extra components, most notably a dozer blade, a Brimstone ATGM twin launcher and an advanced camera system by Elbit. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Challenger 2 Streetfighter is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. Its main advantages include excellent frontal armor (enhanced by the presence of its dozer blade covering its lower frontal plate), increased ramming damage and long range lethality, courtesy of a powerful ATGM launcher. Whether you desire to bring the fighting up close or support other MBTs at distance, the Streetfighter’s got your back.

The Challenger 2 Streetfighter II Tier 10 Premium MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.
Bundeswehr skin for Leopard 2A6
The Bundeswehr skin for the Leopard 2A6 Tier 9 progression Main Battle Tank visually converts in MBT into a Leopard 2A7 thanks to the changes we’ve made in the tank’s geometry. While it won’t give you any additional performance, it will allow you to make your Leopard 2A6 like the best MBT Germany currently has available. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

The skin is available in two bundles:
 • Leopard 2A6 Bundeswehr bundle along with a new German winter camouflage
 • Leopard bundle along with the Bundeswehr skin for Leopard 2A5

Please note that the bundle includes the skins but not the Leopard 2A5 or the Leopard 2A6 MBT itself. This tank needs to be obtained via progression directly in the game.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
Bundeswehr skin for Leopard 2A5
The Bundeswehr skin for the Leopard 2A5 Tier 8 progression Main Battle Tank is loosely based on a real life Leopard 2 vehicle from Panzerbataillon 104 stationed in Pfreimd, Bavaria. It features the typical German NATO camouflage, unit insignia and a camouflage net on top. If you ever dreamt of driving a Bundeswehr tank in Armored Warfare, this is as close as you’re going to get to it! You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

Please note that the bundle includes the skins but not the Leopard 2A5 MBT itself. This tank needs to be obtained via progression directly in the game. The skin is available in the Leopard bundle along with the Bundeswehr skin for the Leopard 2A6 MBT.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
German Camouflage Bundle
German vehicles appeared in a wide range of different camouflages over the last five decades. This bundle contains pretty much all the older German camouflages that are currently implemented in Armored Warfare, including a brand new German Winter camouflage. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

The bundle contains the following items:

These camouflages can be used in any environment and on any vehicle that allows you to do so but look the best on German vehicles such as the Leopard series.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
Leopard 2 Revolution
The Leopard 2 Revolution is a continuation of the older Evolution upgrade, intended to improve the performance of the older variants of the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank in order to make it excel even on the battlefields of the 21st century. The improvements include a comprehensive armor upgrade, ROSY soft-kill APS and smoke grenade launchers as well as an entire suite of cutting edge electronics. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Leopard 2 Revolution is a Tier 8 Main Battle Tank. It is not only well-armored, it also features an extremely accurate 120mm gun with advanced ammunition, allowing it to destroy its opponents at very long ranges, rivaling those of Tank Destroyers. The German tanks in general perform best at longer ranges and the Revolution is no exception.

This offer also includes the Wallbreaker version. This vehicle features unique Berlin Wall-themed camouflage.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
Kampfpanzer 70
The Kampfpanzer 70 is the German sibling of the MBT-70. Back in the 1960s, the Germans and the Americans cooperated on the creation of a new, highly advanced Main Battle Tank, armed with a powerful 152mm gun and cutting edge technology. The project was a failure and the tank was never adopted for several reasons, including an extremely high price. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Kampfpanzer 70 is a Tier 6 Premium Main Battle Tank, just like the MBT-70. Although both vehicles generally look the same way, there are some differences. For one, the Kampfpanzer 70 cannot fire the Shillelagh guided missiles, but can use HE ammunition, making it truly deadly against lightly armored opponents.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
Marder 2
The Marder 2 was an experimental German IFV, developed in the late 1980s to replace the aging Marder IFV. It featured more armor, a new turret and a brand-new Rheinmetall dual-caliber autocannon that could fire both 35mm and 50mm rounds. Despite its qualities, the vehicle was never accepted in service due to its high cost and because it was no longer needed because of the fall of the Soviet Union. A single surviving prototype can be found today in the Koblenz military collection. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Marder 2 is a Tier 8 Armored Fighting Vehicle. With its 44 tons, it’s one of the heaviest and toughest AFVs around. Unlike many other AFVs of its Tier, it is not armed with guided missiles, relying instead on its extremely powerful 50mm autocannon. This vehicle can also deploy Mechanized Infantry.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
Challenger 1 Falcon
The Falcon is an experimental turret developed in the early 2000s in Jordan as an upgrade to the Jordanian Al-Hussein (Challenger 1) Main Battle Tanks. It's a low profile turret, armed with an automatically loaded Swiss 120mm L/50 RUAG smoothbore gun, capable of firing standard NATO ammunition. The operator controls the turret from inside the vehicle's hull, significantly improving crew protection. A prototype was built and tested, but the design was never mass-produced.

In Armored Warfare, the Challenger 1 Falcon is a Tier 8 Premium Main Battle Tank. The best word to characterize this lumbering behemoth in the game is “tough” – its excellent hull armor shrugs off most shells while the damage its low profile turret takes when it is reduced by 90% thanks to the fact the crew is not located directly in it. Despite being generally very slow and sluggish, the Challenger 1 Falcon can take tremendous punishment and is ideal for the players who prefer the British Main Battle Tank play style.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
ASCOD LT-105
If there was a word best describing the ASCOD platform, it would be the word “international”. It was developed by the Austrians and the Spanish, adopted by the British and available with a wide range of turrets. The joint project from 1988 eventually led to a number of vehicles using the ASCOD platform, the two best-known results of which are the Austrian Ulan IFV and the Spanish Pizarro IFV. The ASCOD LT-105 was a fire support variant of the platform, offered with pretty much any turret a customer would like, including those from B1 Centauro, M1128 MGS or even a South-African one by Denel. However, after two decades of not having to found any customers, the project was terminated and by 2015-2016, it was removed from all official offers. You can learn more about it in a dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the ASCOD LT-105 is a Tier 8 Premium Light Tank. It is fairly unique in one aspect. It is possible to select one of the two turrets: the manned Denel turret with the GT7 gun or the Low-Profile Turret by General Dynamics with the M68 gun, known from the M1128. The first turret has better kinetic shells but fires in a normal manner, while the latter has a clip-style autoloader, balanced by worse overall characteristics of the gun.
Eclipse Loot Crate
The Eclipse Loot Crate is now available. This Loot Crate contains Eclipse Battle Coins and Boosters.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

 • Battle Coins are the primary currency of the Eclipse Battle Path campaign and are used to progress through it and to obtain its prizes.
 • Battle Coin Boosters are usable only during an active Battle Path and increase your Battle Coin income by 900 percent for two hours.

Please note that you have to obtain the access to a Battle Path to use both items.

Historical Camouflages – Afghanistan, Pakistan

Commanders!

Like every year, we’ll be running a month-long event this summer. Titled “Graveyard of Empires”, it will feature prizes themed after one of the most inhospitable, if undeniably beautiful, regions of the world – Afghanistan.

The tale of Afghanistan is one mountaineer tribes spending their live fighting nature, foreign invaders or each other. The arid soil of this unconquered land is soaked with blood of countless generations, their sacrifices proving that some places can be conquered but can never be held. The British, the Soviets and most recently the Americans have all tried and have all learned this harsh lesson, leaving behind their broken weapons, their pride, and their dreams of world domination. Empires come and go but the vast, unyielding mountains of Hindu Kush and the men hard as stone living in their shadow are eternal.

The camouflages we have prepared for you belong to the Afghan National Army, the latest iteration of an army helping outsider forces hold the country against Taliban as well as other various tribes living on Afghan territory. Notoriously ineffective and corrupt, the military fell to the Taliban shortly after the NATO forces had left the country in the summer of 2021.

Both camouflages are somewhat similar and were seen in 2006 during a military parade in Kabul.

Aside from these two, we are working on another, Pakistani camouflage that will also be available during the event. Pakistan’s actions and decisions have influenced Afghanistan for generations and it makes sense to include it in the prizes.

We hope that you’ll enjoy the event and, as always:

See you on the battlefield!

Offer: Asian Week

Commanders!

Today we’ve prepared the following items for you:
 • Type 10 Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank
 • QN-506 Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer
 • VT-5 Tier 9 Premium Light Tank
 • Pindad SBS Tier 8 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle
 • Type 90 Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tank along with Japanese camouflage
 • Iron Crate
Between August 3 and 10, 2023, the following items will be available:
Type 10
The Type 10 MBT is the most modern Japanese Main Battle Tank in service and one of the most advanced war machines in the world. Using sophisticated electronics and crystalline steel armor, this tank is more than a match for any enemy that would threaten the islands of Japan. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Type 10 is a Tier 10 Premium Main Battle Tank. What puts it apart from the other MBTs of its Tier is its special NERA armor. This highly-mobile MBT starts every battle well-armored, but the protection levels decrease with every shot taken. Additionally, this MBT features a special system that tells you the exact chance to penetrate your target. Overall, it’s one of the most powerful MBTs of its Tier and certainly a good choice for players, who prefer rapid action to slow advances.

The Type 10 Tier 10 Premium MBT is available in our Web Shop via Loot Crates. Collect 100 blueprint pieces from these crates to obtain the vehicle.
QN-506
The QN-506 fire support vehicle is a Chinese attempt to design a cheap, export-oriented alternative to the Russian BMPT series. Instead of converting a second or third generation MBT, the engineers at Wuhan Guide Infrared Co., Ltd., likely to keep the vehicle as affordable as possible, opted to base their project on the Type 59 MBT, which is, in its basic form anyway, a copy of the old Soviet T-55 medium tank from the late 1950s. They jam-packed it with cutting edge electronics and a number of weapon systems, including ATGMs, an automatic cannon or smaller caliber rockets. However, despite the use of an unmanned turret, the protection levels of this vehicle are still quite low and, so far, there haven’t been any signs of interest in the QN-506. You can learn more about this vehicle in our dedicated article.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

In Armored Warfare, the QN-506 is a Premium Tier 9 Tank Destroyer that gameplay-wise resembles the popular BMPT series. However, unlike the Russian Terminators, it has a number of interesting features including tree different weapon systems (30mm cannon, 70mm unguided rockets and 151mm ATGMs) and loitering recon ammunition flying towards the end of a map and spotting everything in its path. The last ability is unique to the QN-506 and makes it one of the most potent support vehicles on the battlefield.
VT-5
The VT-5 is a modern Chinese Light Tank that was developed specifically with export in mind. There are many reasons why a country without its own tank development should opt to purchase a Light Tank instead of a full-scale Main Battle Tank. It’s equally as fast if not faster with equal firepower but, what is most important, it is affordable. The VT-5 excels in all these categories. While its armor cannot match that of an MBT, it can protect its crew against most infantry threats thanks to its ERA and cage armor sets. It also has a powerful 105mm gun capable of firing guided missiles, it is packed with advanced electronics and is supremely agile thanks to its 1000hp diesel engine. Simply put, wraps cutting edge technologies up into an affordable bundle. You can learn more about it in a dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the VT-5 is a very powerful Tier 9 Premium Light Tank. Fast and agile, it features solid levels of protection (the configuration in the game is the one featuring the ERA kit as well as the turret cage armor) and a good rate of fire. Additionally, its gun is capable of firing guided missiles. It’s an ideal machine for players who value speed and agility, as it offers plenty of both. The VT-5 is capable of dancing around its opponents on the battlefield, outperforming even some AFVs in mobility.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
Pindad SBS
The SBS platform is one of the first domestic armored vehicles developed by Pindad (the largest Indonesian armor producer) for Indonesia and is officially listed as a “light tank”. It was developed sometimes in the early 2010s with some prototypes in different configuration appearing in public in 2014 or so. The variant in the game is a long-range MLRS fire support vehicle with a 122mm multi-barreled rocket launcher. You can learn more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Pindad SBS is a Tier 8 Premium Armored Fighting Vehicle. This AFV is fairly unique, since its main weapon is a multi-barreled rocket launcher capable of firing over obstacles. This makes the Pindad incredibly powerful in both offense and defense. Static enemy targets stand no chance! This vehicle is best used with Commander Ophelia Kitescu and in a platoon – the firepower of such a formation is truly without equal.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
Type 90
The Type 90 is the current service main battle tank of the Japanese Self-Defense Force. On the outside, it vaguely resembled the German Leopard 2, but inside, the vehicle’s completely different. It was adequately armed and armored for the time it was developed in, but what made it really stand out were its cutting-edge Japanese electronics and its hydraulic suspension, allowing the tank to tilt itself forward or backward, enhancing its gun elevation and depression beyond what the turret would normally allow. This trait was considered to be an important for Japan, as much of its landmass is covered by mountainous areas. You can read more about it in our dedicated article.

In Armored Warfare, the Type 90 is a Tier 7 Premium Main Battle Tank. Gameplay-wise, it resembles the Leopard 2 and Abrams version of the same Tier. The difference between the Leopard and the Type 90 MBT lie in the presence of an automatic loading mechanism – otherwise, the firepower and protection levels is roughly the same with the Japanese tank having a little less armor, compensated by more module hitpoints. Overall, it is not the best-protected MBT on the battlefield, requiring careful long-range gameplay. However, the advanced electronics installed in this tank as well as its hydraulic suspension allow it to aim faster than all its class and Tier counterparts.

The Type 90 is also available in the Japanese bundle, which contains:
 • Type 90 Tier 7 Premium MBT
 • Japanese camouflage
 • Two Japanese decals
 • Japanese red flag

You can learn more about the Japanese camouflage in our dedicated article.

Clicking the link below will open the game’s launcher. Please select the Market option on the left and select Armored Warfare to access this offer.
