Quality of Life

Greetings Pilots!

This and the recent updates have been focused on bugfixes and quality of life improvements. There are not button icons showing cooldown for actions as well as specials and even powerups. The upgrade computer is now equipped (and unlocked) by default for new players, and it's priorities have been slightly changed to help the initial power spike. Of course you can unequip it and play like before as well!

There are also a few new localizations!

New Stuff
Added Use Powerup and Use Special button icons on powerup bar
-Can be disabled in Player Options in the pause menu or from main menu->options
Added Traditional Chinese localization
Added German localization
Added Portuguese (Brazil) localization
Added Hungarian localization
Added Italian localization

Changes & Improvements
‘Upgrade Computer’ is now a default attachment and equipped for new Pilots
Upgrade Computer is now disabled on level Tutorial Space & Extended Tutorial (instead grants +1 Power)
Upgrade Computer will now pick Spread 2 and Side 1 over Speed 2
Upgrade Computer will now pick Missiles 1 over Speed 3
Angry Reloader now fires missiles on underwater levels
Improved how restarting games work, especially if you just saved or loaded
Increased Phase plasma damage by 12x
Increased BubbleShieldHealth from 170 -> 220
Tweaked Plasma Projectiles visual
Increase MiniNuke base contact damage 45->65
Laserrangs no longer work underwater
Autobeams no longer work underwater
NanoFighter collision damage increased 4 -> 12.5 + Power
NanoFighter collisions no longer destroy mines

Fixes
Fixed issue preventing changing custom ship settings in pause menu during local multiplayer game
Fixed issue where your ship would become invisible when resurrecting friends in local multiplayer games
Fixed issue with AutoCannon sometimes getting Spread/Meson effects
Fixed issue where some hacked mines were still exploding on Battle for Earth and Minefield
Fixed (another) issue with autoguns not targeting enemies on the edge of Vertical levels
Fixed gamepad menu navigation issue when loading Loadouts
Fixed rare graphics device crash on Linux
Fixed several abilities not rotating when facing backwards (such as Wall of Rockets when using Switchback)
Fixed incorrectly rotated ‘Malfunction’ text on some levels
Fixed plasma not scaling as it increased in power
Fixed camera rotation bug on Redemption

Also there were some minor optimizations on planet levels.

Fixed controller assignment issue for local multiplayer games

February Update

Today's patch is mostly bugfixes, but also a few small improvements.

Improvements
-Improve online sync in cross-platform games
-Improved lighting on several planet levels
-Made Plasma projectiles slightly darker around the rim
-Added default savegame name text when saving game
-Added helper graphic when playing as Sarah on the Tutorial level
-Several (minor) optimizations

Balance / Changes
-Increased Prototype Cruiser main gun damage 330->380
-Alternate Action Buttons are now enabled by default

Fixes
-Fixed Missiles and Support Fighters not targeting always asteroids
-Fixed online game over screen not progressing to new game in some situations
-Fixed issue where control-icons would show incorrect controller
-Fixed issue with laserang projectiles not getting correct attachments applied
-Fixed issue with offscreen enemies breaking killstreaks on several levels (including Lone Ship and Asteroid Field)
-Fixed/Improved autogun targeting on vertical levels
-Fix issue where ships would become invisible in online games
-Fixed issue where game over screen couldn’t continue to GameRoom for online games with low performance hosts
-Fixed scrollbars not automatically scrolling on advanced player options selector
-Fixed keyboard not appearing on ‘Join Game By Name’ selector

Small December Patch

A small patch to address some recently reported issues.
-Fix autotargeting issue on vertical levels (again)
-Fix Bob Oboc and other followers not targeting asteroids when they have plasma
-Fix issue with some enemies spawning off screen and breaking killstreaks (if you find more please let me know)
-Fix a broken Wave Survival wave type (it would just sit there for ~60 seconds before progressing to the next wave)
