Whirligig Remote - Control Whirligig from your phone or PC
[p]Hi Everyone
I've been working on a system to allow you to control Whirligig on multiple headsets from your PC or your phone (Android).[/p][p]The reason I've been doing this is that I had a request for being able to control multiple headsets in a museum environment. They wanted to be able to put several people in VR headsets and then set off a video automatically on all headsets at once. I looked into a system that used ADB for them and then migrated to a network protocol system for this release is it required less setup for the user.[/p][p]
Whirligig - Remote is available for free on Itch.io (I also intend to add it as a DLC once I work that out). [/p][p]https://phileday.itch.io/whirligig-remote Whirligig - remote is compatible with the latest beta of Whirligig on the meta Horizon store and Steam store. Version whirligig_v5.792. If you want to get Whirligig on the Meta Horizon app here is a 90% off code WHIRLIGIG_STANDALONE-231E10 I will be doing a proper release this coming week with tutorials, videos and everything else that's been updated in Whirligig itself but I wanted to get this version out for anyone who wants to give it a try and tell me what you think. Suggestions are very welcome, this is the first version so I don't fully know what people want so if there is a killer feature you'd like to see tell me and there is a good chance I'll try and add it :)
Below are a few pictures of the app and the itch.io description to get you started.
I hope that people can find some good use of this new companion app.
Happy watching everyone
Phil
