Starbase Test Universe Hotfix 05.09.2024 - STU Build 1000057

  • Fixed Capital Ship building area claim working only once per editor session.
  • Fixed the editor building area claim message to accurately tell the amount of areas that player can claim.
  • Fixed some station objects not supporting Decals. (even legacy objects support them now.)
  • Fixed Decal limit being hit erroneously in Station editors by just placing objects when not near the building limit.

[h2]New Features[/h2]
[h3]Event tab (Found in the personal UI, same UI level as crafting, stations, etc)[/h3]
  • Shows all upcoming and active Sieges in the Universe.
  • Siege can be right clicked to open a map view of where the Sieged station is.
  • Additionally in progress or upcoming Sieges are also shown in the Galaxy Map temporarily for its duration, even if you have not discovered the station for yourself.
  • However, there is no indicator yet in the map for a station that will be sieged, no timer or in progress icon, so currently, cross referencing with the Event menu is necessary.


[h3]Decal tool for station editors.[/h3]
  • Same functionality and Decal list as in SSC.
  • Station Paint tool was also updated for decal coloring and now matches the SSC's variant.
  • Paint tool now refers to "objects" rather than "ship parts".


[h2]Fixes[/h2]
  • Significant module data optimizations, making it much harder to hit the size cap (or crash the module servers)
    - This should make loading and editing faster as well
    - However these changes affect only newly made/re-added stations/station parts. (replace with an old blueprint won't optimize the station either)
  • Fixed freeze and performance issues when charging a warp with a spaceship that had a massive amount of propellant.
  • Fixed "No FCU" -ship warp error blocking other errors from being shown.
  • If an in progress ship warp is interrupted for any reason, a warp beacon is now always generated at the location where it finished.
  • Fixed a crash that was related to being a passenger on a warping ship.
  • Fixed ship warp menu and ship binding menus disappearing if pressing R while grabbing them.
    - Fixed the ESC menu breaking due to grab staying active as well.
  • Fixed Durability view switching to integrity view when hovering over any of the durability cubes.
  • Fixed a case of errors and crash happening when moving parts in station editors.
  • Fixed being unable to create a new Capital Ship to an empty dock when another Capital was already docked on the station.
  • Fixed an edge case of Capital Ship docks not detecting the Capital Ship inside, prompting player to create a new one in an already occupied dock.
  • It is now possible to claim station areas in Station Planner/Station Editors without having to leave the editor.
  • Disallowed manipulating active factory halls inside station editors.
  • Improvements to the consistency of warp beacons appearing in the Galaxy Map.

Patch notes:

  • Increased the limit of initial connection requests that is part of shadowrealm fixes
  • Improvements to ship lod updating, ex. ships showing damaged lods post repair
    - Ships that are split into many ships and those build in universe should now have lods too (these still disappear though if not claimed and get unhosted)
  • Fixed players being unable to start ship warps on ships not hosted by them

  • Potential fixes for the shadowrealm issue.
  • Further optimizations and fixes for the Module Server.


Previous patch fixes in builds 1000048-1000050

  • Optimized Module server data usage and performance
  • Fixed a bug where station parts would get deleted and editing the station would cause server disconnect due to parts outside of station zone.
  • Removed Ghidorah Mk2 and Mooray ships from SSC premade folder due to creator requests.
  • Fixed empty capital ship at station dock causing siege to never end.
  • Fixed crash caused by reconstruction machine on a sieged player station.
  • Fixed siege not being immediately repeatable with STU settings due to post-siege protection.
  • Fixed ships spawning to wrong location from hangars in some coordinates.
  • Improved reconstruction machine respawning reliability.
