Update 4.8.2021 (EA Build 534)



The servers will be down for approximately 2 hours for maintenance. Once back up, patch 534 will be live with the following changes:

  • Fixed issue with Ymrium Ore not being collectable
  • Fixed correct sell values are applied to all item types
  • Market buys items for -30% or -60% of their base price
  • Adjusted economy configs for materials
  • Fixed 20mm ammo locale
  • Fixed crafting data research points on bolting tool, cable tool and pipe tool ammo
  • Set economy fallback sell value to -60%

  • Renamed "Control tables, screens, levers and buttons" -> "Control tables, screens, small devices"
  • Fixed mounts 1 and 2 are now placed properly in the research tree
  • Added turret turntables to several nodes with devices able to use them
  • Moved small utility bodies to laser designator node
  • Added tier 2 fuel rods to tier 2 generator node
  • Added missing propellant tank support item to "Small propellant tank" node
  • Added missing 'power' field to Ore collector
  • Added Text panel 24x24 to "Control tables, screens, small devices" node
  • Added All Duct items to "Control tables, screens, small devices" node

  • Factory areas are now formed even when the area has already something bolted to it

Update 2.8.2021 (EA Build 529)

Hello everyone and thank you for joining the Starbase Universe!

We're aware of many issues troubling you at the moment. We're working on resolving those as soon as possible. We have processed thousands of in-game ship refund requests and our support team + extra hands continue to try to help out as fast as we can.

Today's update is our third hotfix since launch and will bring the game down for approximately 1 hour maintenance, here is the change log:

[h2]Update 2.8.2021 (EA Build 529)[/h2]

Patch type: Hotfix

  • Fixed Ship Shop Ship thrusters getting auto-named when entering Easy Build Mode
  • Added system message when receiving mail
  • Allowed only Modules to be placed while in Easy Build mode
  • Fixed Easy Build Mode deleting ships in some cases

In case you continue to run into any bugs that e.g. break your ship, or your ship gets lost due to bugs and you can't afford a tow, or are simply unable to tow it back, please submit an F1 ship refund request in-game, and our team will try to help you out as soon as possible.

Update 31.7.2021 (EA Build 526)

Another hotfix coming in after maintenance is over, here are the patch notes:

  • Derelict server optimizations
  • Fixed a crash while trading with other players
  • Crafting material updates
  • Reduced amount of points required for some nodes in Research tech tree
  • Added Laborer Module V2 to Sunny Ship Center
  • Multiple improvements to our moderator tools for the F1 Feedback reports, which will speed up our support times

Update 30.7.2021 (EA Build 523)

Sorry for the launch troubles and maintenance downtimes. The first hotfix patch is now live:

- Added more server capacity
- Server optimizations
- Research Tree node changes
- Reduced electricity point requirements in tools and other nodes
- Crafting requirement changes
- Cargo boxes grant electricity points now
- Fixed several modules not being craftable
- Fixed Module ships breaking when leaving easy build mode area before ship saving was completed
- Added "Module" filter to player inventory
- Removed shop terminals from Sunny Ship Center

Starbase Early Access Out Now!


Early Access is here! We are incredibly excited to launch Starbase in Early Access after more than a year in Closed Alpha. The game is still in an alpha stage as we are missing features and gameplay loops, but our vision is starting to come together and it's time to open up the game to the whole community! We have an Early Access promise of 2-3 updates every month, and as outlined in our roadmap, we will introduce major new features like Capital Ships and Station Siege to the game in August-September. The Early Access version of Starbase allows players to design, build & modify spaceships, explore the universe, form social connections, and earn money by mining, gathering, crafting and selling resources. The players can start building their home stations and begin the expansion of the Starbase universe.

After a short period of tranquil mining, ship and station designing and building, as well as relatively small scale pvp engagements, the post-launch period will quickly start to heat up. The August updates will introduce Moon Bases & Mining and the massive-sized Capital Ships, while the September update that introduces Siege Mechanics will send the world into full-scale calamity, as player stations will become fully destructible and capturable.
