UPDATE v0.07

I'm currently forced to ice the development on this until I've recovered financially but I'll be looking forward to finishing this game sometime in the next few years. I may however find some time inbetween to make small steps and hope that you are all still around then!

Anyway, here for you to play with...

List of changes:
  • reworked menus
  • added custom options to launching play session (Seed, Location and Size)
  • added 3 new jump skills (Bear Trap, Xplosion Trap, Corpse Xplosion (reworked)
  • Fine tuned melee combos
  • ...and other stuff I forgot

Have fun and let me know what you think!

Temple of Rust: Back to PAID

It's been a few ruff months for me lately and I seriously had to rethink how I'm going to move forward...

If I want to complete Temple of Rust and if it's going to be good, I will eventually have to make at least enough money with it to survive and recoup some of the investments I've made during the development. I've tried my best to carry the development by busking and have spent all my personal savings. I'm still thinking about trying Kickstarter. But that just won't go well for a free game in my opinion.

I try my best not to bother you folks with my personal worries and troubles because I'm sure you all have your load to carry.
Anyway, back to the point:

Temple of Rust will get a price tag again.
(And I won't be able to undo that! The transition will happen sometime on Monday 9th September!)

If you install Temple of Rust now (and tell your friends to do it!) then you can keep it for as long as it's installed. So I recommend you do that and spread the word!

If you have donated to Temple of Rust then please let me know in the comments or on my profile and I'll give you a permanent key!

I guess that's all for now...

Leave a comment to let me know what you think.

Sincerely,
James

PS: ENYO Arcade will remain free.

This won't be easy...

I really want to make this game. But it's been quite a ruff ride and I cannot afford the development alone any longer. So I need your help to make this happen!

I'm preparing a Kickstarter campaign to find out if there are enough people out there that can and will support me on this journey. Since the game is free on PC (and that won't change) I'm in a strange situation: It's a bit hard to come up with rewards.

It's naive of me, I know that for sure. But what would Indie life be without trying to do things different?

So I'm thinking of offering YOU some rewards that can actually shape the game and let YOU be part of the game world too. Either by suggesting weapons and power ups or getting your name on an NPC, becoming a quest-giver or let me add another playable character and you name it!

What else could you imagine might be worth a few bucks to help me make this game? Please let me know in the comments or start a discussion in the game hub about what features you wold like to see in the game!

Regards,
James

MISSION WOOD STOVE COMPLETE!

The northern hemisphere is now slowly warming up as the planets axis shifts once again. And we have finished installing our wood burner!

Getting all the necessary parts in Spain was quite a hassle at first and we built a few things ourselves. Our first test was to go up into some mountain region to find out how efficient we can heat the truck. We tested the stove outside first to burn in the paint but we forgot about the exhaust pipe. As we fired up the stove the pipe started to smoke and we had to open all doors and windows to ventilate. So we ended up freezing a few days and returned to warmer regions.

Now this effect has settled down after a few times of use and we will give it another try in colder regions soon. We hope to return to Germany soon for the complete inspection of the truck and I am looking forward to play some music in a few bars there but right now the north is still 'locked by cold' for us.

I did not spend much digital time lately but I will be releasing a fresh update for Temple of Rust later with some 'convenience' features.

Best regards,
James
