Save & Quit - Open Beta

[h3]Hey everyone,[/h3]

Good news! We're closing into the next big update, which will feature Save & Quit feature as well as two new game modes! From there on, it will be a straight road to making the game work online, as well as adding some polish to the co-op mode overall.

First, we'd like to ask you for your help! The Save & Quit feature is something, that required lots of work from us to work as intended, but there are probably still some things that might need tweaking. Because of that, we're organizing an open beta of the feature for all Fury Unleashed players on Windows.



We invite each one of you to help us test the new build of the game, which you'll be able to do by following the instructions below. It's completely optional, so if you don't feel like doing so, no problem! We'd love to hear what you think about the aforementioned feature, and if it can be broken by you - feel free to save, as well as shutdown the game at any time, to see if anything can go wrong in different scenarios. We want for it to work as intended where it should, and believe, that we can check if it does with the help of our awesome community!

[hr][/hr][h2]How to join the beta test:[/h2][hr][/hr]

1. In Steam Library, right-click Fury Unleashed in the list of games, and select Properties...
   
   
   
   
2. In the properties menu, select the BETAS tab
   
   
   
   
3. In the beta access code field, enter: furyunleashedbeta and select CHECK CODE
   
   
   
   
4. You should now be able to select a beta branch in the drop-down field above. In case of it not appearing, you might need to restart the Steam client first.
   
   
   
   
5. Steam will download the special build of the game, which is indicated by the [beta] in the title:

[h3]Some things to keep in mind:[/h3]

• This beta test is Windows only!
• If you want, you can opt-out of the beta test branch at any time in the BETAS menu.
  
• By the nature of such tests, your save might get broken, so we recommend backing it up (more info below)
  
• We aren't bluffing when we say we'd love to hear your feedback; please contact us with anything you'd like to say!
  
• In some cases, there is no way to save the game, which is intended. This includes rooms such as: tutorial, challenges, boss fights.
  
• In the testing phase, the new menus/options related to Save & Quit are in English only

[h3]About save backups:[/h3]

Fury Unleashed save file is located in your Steam folder, at:
Steam\\userdata\\YOUR_STEAM_ID\\465200\\remote\\SaveGame.sav YOUR_STEAM_ID stands for the number exclusive to your Steam profile. The game automatically makes a backup each time it starts, so there should also be files with extension from SaveGame.sav.bkp1 to SaveGame.sav.bkp10. Those files can be renamed and swapped for SaveGame.sav to restore a backup in case of any problems with the game. In the case of a broken save without a working backup, feel free to contact us, and we'll help you recover your progress!
