Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition News

Modders are giving Planescape Torment the DLC it deserves, demo coming this year

I didn't play Planescape Torment when it originally released. My excuse? I was about five years old and more interested in eating grass or something. But I played the Enhanced Edition that released in 2017, and instantly realized why this game is considered a classic in certain circles. However, the game never received any official DLC. Despite this (or maybe due to this), fans have taken it upon themselves to create Blizzard in Baator, a full DLC that restores cut content from the original game, and adds a brand new region.

25 years on, it's time for a Planescape Torment remake

Some games stay with you forever, but unfortunately time doesn't stand still, even for our favorites. The chances are - nostalgia aside - that a beloved 1990s classic has aged horribly in the eyes of new players. It's hard to recommend something wholeheartedly on the basis of "it's amazing, just like this game you like, but it looks and runs a whole lot worse!" People can't see its genius when they're fighting for their life in an outdated UI, and now you just feel old.

From Baldur's Gate to Rogue Trader, the latest RPG-themed Humble Bundle is a horrifying assault on your time
