Insignificant Patch 1.12 Released

Version 1.12 of Insignificant is now available, with bug fixes and requested features to help players enjoy the game!

New Features

Mouse Sensitivity controls - Press the minus or plus keys on a keyboard to adjust your mouse's sensitivity. This will also raise and lower the sensitivity of the camera on a game pad. These controls have been added to the Compendium.

Dual Monitor Setup - I had a report of the game not working correctly with dual monitors. I have adjusted the game to basically ignore any non main monitors, and tested it with an extra screen I was able to find. Hopefully this helps your setup if you were having issues.

Bug Fixes
  • The lake area was causing the game to crash due to an NPC which was not setup properly. This has been fixed.
  • There was a similar issue with the Onion Mountain area, which has also been fixed.
  • I manually tested every other area in the game just to be safe and they were all working correctly.
  • Pop-up dialogue windows were not displaying text fast enough. They have been adjusted to improve readability all around.
  • Fixed an instance in which touching an ORB would not finish its associated events.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these issues may have caused, and appreciate all of your help in bringing them to my attention. If you have any additional issues, please feel free to contact me at significantgames.com/contact and I would be glad to assist you.

- Dan

Insignificant Is Now Available!

It's been a long and difficult road to get here, but now Insignificant is finally available, and at a special price for a limited time! Now you can shoot skunks and slash snakes to your heart's content.

Insignificant takes advantage of tons of Steam features too, like automatic cloud save support for cross-platform play, an official Steam Controller profile, and Steam achievements for the completionists out there!

That's not all that's new in this version of the game, but frankly there are too many new changes to rattle off in this announcement, so here is the official documentation on this first public release for Insignificant.

I've been working on this game for years, and I'm so excited to share it with all of you! It's shocking to look back at the progress Insignificant has made in these years of solo development.

Here, let me share with you the earliest screenshot I could find of Insignificant:

Just a flat ground texture, some rocks and a default skybox image. Somehow I was able to make it from there all the way to what we have today!

Insignificant is special to me, not just because it contains a personal story, but because it contains so much of my own life. It has my voice, my time, everything I've learned about making games, and I'm so grateful that you would consider taking a look at it.

This is a game about being small and alone, but right now I don't feel alone. You make me feel like there is someone out there listening. I hope I can make you feel that way too. To everyone who sees this game, and thinks about it for even a moment, to me, you will always be SIGNIFICANT.
