New major update
Hello, fellow doll citizens!
Here is the first major update including new gameplay and levels both for gamepad and roomscale modes.
For now roomscale mode is only available for HTC Vive. But don't worry, Oculus Rift support should be relased soon, we're working on it.
What's new:
- 10 levels for gamepad mode, for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift
- 10 levels for Roomscale mode, for HTC Vive
- New gameplay for gamepad mode, with first person view and sidescroller third person view
- Several choices of locomotion: teleportation/dash/trackpad
- Items to pick up (access cards, boxes, hallucinogenic substances...)
- Advanced interactions with the environnment
- A unique trip, in a universe where blurring the lines between reality, mind trips and virtuality
- New design for the comic book events
- New sounds and music (a lot remains to be included yet)
- New ingame menu
- A way to switch graphics quality/supersampling
Though this isn't the final version, it allows the players to have a good preview of where Doll City is heading to: a game mixing exploration and immersion, with various gameplay phases.
The game immerses you in the story of a derelict megalopolis told through full-scale comic-book pages, with a soundtrack paying tribute to early 80s electronic music.
Welcome to this new update of Doll City, a one of a kind cyberpunk trip.
