Creator Boost




Content creators who join the Legion Partnership Program now get a Creator Boost with a unique creator code. Any player purchasing premium essence can enter a creator code. 10% of the $ purchase price will go directly to the creator.

This allows us to say thank you to all the content creators who play the game. It also allows the community to support active Legions creators.

Nexus has also agreed to match up to $750 in creator contributions, meaning creators who promote their Creator Boost code early can receive 20% instead of 10%.

Card Fragments


Unlocking cards from the Card Trader now gives you card fragments. Card fragments can be used to unlock a card of your choice from the Card Trader.

The primary ways to collect cards are still unlocking them randomly from the Card Trader or finding them as drops in-game. Card fragments are a new way on top of that.



The number of card fragments needed to unlock a card of your choice depends on its rarity:
  • Uncommon: 20
  • Rare: 24
  • Epic: 28
  • Legendary: 32
  • Secret: 100

Additionally, if you unlock 10 random cards in a row without drawing a secret card, the Card Trader takes pity on you and gives you 10 card fragments for free!

Improvements & Fixes


Essence Gain
All % boosts are now multiplicative instead of additive. This means that each bonus remains impactful when combined with other bonuses. For most players, especially ones with high Guild Contribution, this means more essence.

Improvements
  • Audio: Various unit sound & music volumes have been normalized to fix many cases where certain sounds were too loud or too quiet.
  • Spectator Mode: Added more information to the overlay: openings, builds, net worth, and +/- recommended value.

  • MVP: Improved formula


Major Fixes
  • Fixed a rare bug where a player would fail to connect to a match if two players connected at almost exactly the same time (more common when players are on the same network)
  • Fixed a rare bug where players would fail to connect to the login server for several minutes
  • Fixed some rare cases of game instability


Minor Fixes
  • Holy Avenger & Sovereign: Fixed a bug when reviving from Guardian Angel where their health wasn’t properly capped at 1500 due to gaining bonus health from their Aegis / Final Judgment buff
  • Custom Games: Fixed a bug with Tournament mode where players couldn’t see legion spells in the team chat window
  • Postgame: Fixed a bug where Classic matches didn’t show your correct rating badge
  • Profile: Fixed a bug with screen tearing when using the scrollbar via mouse clicks (not mouse wheel)
  • Audio: Fixed a bug where adjusting Special Theme volume didn’t update immediately if a track was currently playing
  • Misc: Fixed some tooltips
  • Spectator: Fixed a bug in Spectator mode where net worth stats were displaying the wrong number
  • Custom Games: Fixed a bug in Custom Games where the game would become unstable if playing Chaos/Hybrid mode with bots
  • Pathing: Fixed a rare bug where a unit would get stuck at the spawn area
  • Secret Cards: Fixed a bug where donating/selling a secret card would result in losing access to being able to de-equip a card monument using that slot
  • Gameplay: Fixed a bug where Tempest/Leviathan abilities would continue to run even while a game was paused
  • Gameplay: Fixed a bug where Match Canceled would skip over players that picked Cash Out
  • Gameplay: Fixed a bug in Campaign where if you restart the game, the post-game Builds tab wouldn’t properly reset mercenaries sent each time
  • Gameplay: Fixed a bug with nearby Seadragon/Lifebinder where the Sacred Steed/Pegasus wouldn’t self-buff if all Seadragon/Lifebinders had 1 hp left and there were no other targets


Game Balance


Worker Rework
- Mythium gather rate now increases by 8% every wave after wave 10. This also applies to workers you trained previously.
- Removed x2 Workers on waves 16+

The goal of this change is to encourage workers in the mid game and discourage overbuilding before wave 15, which slowed down the pace/fun of the game.

This is an experimental change. Depending on community feedback, we'll keep it, make adjustments, or revert it. Big changes require time to learn and judge, so please give us time to properly evaluate.


King
- Health on wave 18 decreased by 5% (compensating for the fact that Wave 18 now deals less damage to the king)
- 4v4 only: Health decreased by 7.5%

The king is too beefy in 4v4, especially with how leaks stream in, rather than grouping up first.

[h3]Mastermind Playstyles[/h3]

Fiesta
- Reward for leaking: +4 income → 13-48 gold, based on the wave number

This rework makes Fiesta a legitimate playstyle about aggressive play patterns and risk-taking throughout the entire game, rather than a cheese playstyle focused largely on pro-leaking waves 1-3.

- Mana regeneration: 0.44 → 0.47

Pulverizer
- Attack speed: 6% → 4%

Win rate: High
Pick rate: High

Nerfing Pulverizer with expensive units, while keeping its identity of being strong with fast attackers.

Proton / Atom
- Attack speed: 1.12 → 1.15

Win rate: Low
Pick rate: Very low


Bazooka
- Damage: 34 → 35

Pyro
- DPS: 48 → 49
— Damage: 36 → 38
— Attack speed: 1.35 → 1.3

Buffed and slightly less hard-countered by Safety Mole.

Harpy / Sky Queen
- Attack speed: 1.72 → 1.82

Our goal is to see Harpy on early waves, including as part of openings.

Sea Dragon / Lifebinder
- Mana regeneration decreased by 10%

Sea Dragon is strong in both low and high Elo games, but dominates particularly hard in lower Elo.

Leviathan
- Attack speed: 1 → 1.05

Yozora

A strong opening, strong with healing and life gain effects, and one of the best late game units.

Shifting power from Starcaller into Disciple. Increasing the viability of Disciple opening and building Disciples next to Starcaller.

- Mana cost: 40 → 38

Hades
- Mana cost: 70 → 68

Despite having some standout moments, Lord of Death and Hades underperform on average.

Sovereign
- Health: 6660 → 6550
- Attack speed: 1.23 → 1.2

Last patch’s changes made them feel less oppressive with lifesteal, but were a massive buff on average.

Waves 15, 18, 19, and 20 are now stronger against cheap unit spam. Wave 20 is nerfed overall.

- DPS: Unchanged

- Giant Quadrapus: Damage: 440 → 384
- Attack speed: 1.1 → 1.25

(18) Wale Chiefs
- Poison-Tipped Pole: 300 magic damage every fourth attack → 100 area of effect magic damage every fifth attack. No longer refreshes on kill.

(19) Dire Toads
- New ability: Split Shot: Attacks up to 3 targets per attack (can still hit the same target multiple times)
- DPS: 272 → 265
— Damage: 95 → 114
— Attack speed: 2.86 → 0.78

(20) Maccabeus
- Health: 70000 → 60000
- Devour: Health per kill: 150 → 300
