Rec Room UPDATE - the “That’s my Good Board” Edition

[h2]Circuits[/h2]
  • [p]Behavior Boards are now in Beta![/p]
    • [p]These let you duplicate an entire board's worth of chips at (almost) no cost![/p]
    • [p]Configure a Behavior Board to pick which Behavior it points to. Then, edit inside to build/modify that behavior.[/p]
  • [p]All Behavior Boards that point to the same Behavior contain the same chips! When you change one, they all get updated! And because the chips inside are shared, each new Behavior Board only adds 1 to your room's chip count![/p]
  • [p]Root object circuit events are no longer registered in child object boards.[/p]
  • [p]The circuit string limit is now 20,000 characters.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug which could sometimes cause the Undo button to fail when undoing the creation of a Chip.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Function Calls so that they will not lose their wires when a Function Definition is renamed.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Function Definitions so that they won’t mix up their input wires when an input port is deleted.[/p]

[/p][h2]General Improvements & Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • [p]Added a new Unequip Action when using the Maker Pen!. You can now choose whether you'd like to automatically stop flying when you drop the Maker Pen. In R1, you still need fly permissions from your role to continue flying after dropping the Maker Pen.[/p]
  • [p]Environment Generation is now available via Maker AI. Ask it to generate you an environment! [/p]
  • [p]Game AI now exists in a separate audio channel.[/p]
  • [p]Improvements and small fixes for Roomie![/p]
  • [p]Improved Rooms 2 performance by speeding up how fast data is copied.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue that slowed down timescale for specific props and internal systems.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where rapidly spawning inventions could cause you to be unable to spawn new inventions.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where potions did not break after being thrown while empty.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed invention images not loading in MakerPen on iOS and other low memory platforms.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed visual bugs affecting some store carousels.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where player properties weren't all being added via inventions.[/p][p]

Rec Room UPDATE - the "Roomie, Fetch!" Edition

[h2]Roomie[/h2]
  • You can now share edibles, drinkables, and throwables with Roomie!
  • You're also able to play fetch, catch and throw with Roomie.
  • Added the ability to continue spawning Roomie in energy-saving mode where AI capabilities are unavailable.
  • Thanks to your feedback, we've made multiple bug fixes and improvements with Roomie behavior.
[h2]Circuits[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue where Replicated Objects set to Assign To Player could be picked up by other players if they had a handle in their hierarchy.
  • Enabled recursion in Circuit functions.
  • Fixed an issue where Circuits and ObjectConfig could become de-synced.
[h2]General Improvements & Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Magnetic Snapping should now work during Create Mode for Inventions with Magnetic Anchors in nested containers.
  • Fixed selection visuals appearing on items that should not be selected.
  • You can now view inventions details from the Mobile Makerpen.

Rec Room UPDATE - the "Sub or Dub?" Edition

[h2]Rooms 2[/h2]
  • Improved stability of requesting a player respawn while the player is already respawning.
  • Added 'Local Player Started Respawn' and 'Local Player Finished Respawn' CV2 events in Rooms 2.
  • Added new Local Player Get Is Respawning chip in Rooms 2
  • Performance improvements for Rooms 2 rooms.
  • Added a filter so you can toggle free Rooms 2 Inventions in your palette search.
[h2]General Improvements & Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Added magnetic snapping for objects! So positives and negatives really do attract...
  • Added an energy bar for Roomie so you can see how much energy your Roomie has left.
  • Updated Referee to fix compatibility issues with Medal, ShadowPlay, and other capture software that would cause the game to stop responding.
  • We've made a big rewrite of the way Shapes are rendered using the new DEQ system, and how we cope with big rooms on our more limited platforms. This should give better quality and higher framerates, but it is a significant change, so please watch for bugs and report them!
  • Coach will soon let you know when rooms you have reported have been removed, with a fancy new message and a cheer! Thanks for all the reporting you do to make Rec Room a safer place :)
  • Fixed a case where interactions with objects in VR would get stuck or wouldn't allow you to interact.
  • Slight visual fixes for Roomie.
  • Made some fixes for voices and subtitles.
  • As part of the above, Roomie's subtitles are also now synced with their speech better, and the subtitles will be in batches that make more sense.
  • Fixed the Season Pass notification unintentionally appearing each time you respawn - now it only appears when you load into a room.

Pathfinders will navigate based on the component inside the container instead of its root pivot.There's now an icon to denote when your gift boxes are waiting for you.My Little Monster Holotars now appear on Quest.

Newly placed Pathfinders will now navigate based on the Pathfinder component inside the container instead of its root pivot. A legacy position setting has been added to preserve the old behavior.Backpack tools will now be highlighted when hovered over in R2 rooms.Fixed an issue that made containers invisible.
[h2]General Improvements & Bug Fixes[/h2]
Added an icon to denote when you have gift boxes waiting!We took a magnifying glass to an issue where the font could be tiny on mobile maker pen menus.Fixed some issues with the maker pen when using a gamepad.Improved PC boot times.We stepped on potential sources for memory leaks, which will help prevent out-of-memory crashes.Delete means delete; we uncrossed our wires on a bug that could prevent objects from being deleted when using multiple object properties.Added confirmation dialogs to Circuits' Message Senders and Receivers to warn you whenever changing a message would disconnect wires or alter default parameter values.Holotars in My Little Monster should now appear on Quest.
