Update 1.0.16

Hello all!

The latest update is online! It is quite extensive and contains a lot of major and minor improvements. The performance of the game improved further and the handling of the civil police car was overhauled. In addition to this the game has now more music tracks. These are only some examples of the changes this update brings. Of course we will improve the game further and hope that you’ll like the changes!

Here is the full list of changes:


  • Missions: PR conferences now always take place in the early noon
  • Missions: Improved QTE in M17
  • Vehicles: Civil vehicle is no longer incentivizing an emergency lane before the bluelights are toggled once
  • Accidents: Sketch does now show the correct vehicle details
  • Dialogs: Fixed case where members of the conversation would lean forwards or backwards when the other one is not on the same height
  • Free-play: Radio communication now correctly resumes after an mission has been accepted
  • Missions: Fixed knocking SFX in M13
  • Missions: Toilet can now be entered properly under certain conditions
  • Traffic control: Beards are now animated during alcohol tests
  • UI: Fixed localization of back button in help menu
  • UI: Options menu adjusted to be uppercase
  • UI: No longer need to click multiple times in help menu to show item
  • Vehicles: Improved visibility of vehicle lights for low-detail models
  • Vehicles: Improved handling of civil car
  • Vehicles: Disallowed generation of license plates with leading zeroes
  • World: Corrected some holes at bridges
  • World: Adjusted height of some signs that were too low for trucks to pass them
  • World: Changed location of the Huttstaetten fast-travel spot
  • World: Improved performance at lakes
  • Accidents: Corrected information about vehicles in accident sketches
  • Audio: Added new theme for the station
  • Audio: Added second theme for normal gameplay
  • Audio: Added theme for main menu
  • Engine: Upgraded engine version to 2017.2.1p1
  • Free-play: pursuits are now triggering correctly
  • Graphics: Shading on adjacent road terrains at dusk and dawn now looks correct
  • Input: Input configuration file should now be properly read in all cases
  • Input: Remapping inputs will now properly persist
  • Missions: M10 truck of arrested suspect is no longer driving away
  • Missions: M16 convoy is now starting more smoothly
  • Missions: M20 pursuit does now fail when suspect left the map
  • Missions: Added popup after campaign is over
  • Missions: Specific vehicles no longer spawn inside other vehicles on the road
  • Performance: Reduced overhead of adjusting several dynamic materials
  • Performance: Reduced frequency of garbage collections
  • Performance: Removed small lags caused by the playback of collision SFX
  • Performance: Improved memory usage by properly unloading procedural meshes during world streaming
  • Performance: Disabled static batching to support procedural mesh unloading
  • Performance: Removed resource unloading strategy that was too broad and produced lags when unloading streamed world parts
  • Performance: Reduced savegame size by a great bit, reducing time needed to save the game
  • Traffic Control: Improved positioning of interaction handles of some vehicles
  • Traffic Control: When arresting suspects, the jail cutscene is now playing back properly
  • Traffic Control: improved vehicle interaction in "Follow Me" matrix mode
  • Traffic Control: Alcohol test is now always considered valid as long as the suspect has any blood alcohol percentage above 0
  • Traffic Control: Fixed a case where the driver has different looks than the game assumed because the character was not properly initialized
  • Tutorials: Fast travel tutorial will no longer pop up after loading a savegame
  • UI: Positioning of gamepad button indicators in tech tree view improved
  • UI: Mouse cursor is now hidden when using gamepad or steering wheel
  • UI: Distance display during convoys or pursuits is now showing a unit
  • UI: Changed key binding required to accept a radio call to a different key than required for exiting the car (by default: R on keyboard and the X button on XInput devices)
  • Vehicles: Bear Baranga driver characters will no longer sit in the steering wheel after the game is running for a longer time
  • Vehicles: Driving backwards no longer stops acceleration
  • Vehicles: Enabled functionality of civil vehicle front matrix display
  • Vehicles: Vehicles no longer get stuck behind an obstacle and instead try to overtake it
  • Vehicles: Vehicles are now reacting more dynamically to emergency situations and build a emergency lane when a vehicle with blue lights enabled approaches
  • Vehicles: Exiting the vehicle is no longer possible when the doors are blocked
  • Vehicles: When part of a convoy, vehicles will no longer react to the blue lights of the player vehicle
  • Vehicles: Reduced aggressiveness of truck acceleration
  • Vehicles: Mirrors of the van are now working properly
  • Vehicles: Prevented generation of license plates having 0 as the number
  • Vehicles: Speed cameras are now back in the trunk after loading a savegame
  • Vehicles: Vehicle performance upgrades now work properly after loading a savegame
  • Vehicles: Fleeing suspects will no longer honor the blue lights of the player vehicle, making chases more difficult
  • Vehicles: Can now switch to a rear view camera by using either the right stick button on gamepads, the right mouse button or the Y key on keyboards (by default)
  • World: Traffic lights are now in working condition
  • World: Removed some geometry cracks
