The Bus Beta-Update: PC, 3.2

  1. [p]In your Steam library, right-click on The Bus[/p]
  2. [p]Select "Properties" from the menu[/p]
  3. [p]In the The Bus - Properties window, go to the "BETAS" tab[/p]
  4. [p]Under "Select the beta you would like to opt into:", choose "beta-beta"[/p]
  5. [p]Close the window – the beta update should begin downloading automatically[/p]
  6. [p]Once the update is installed, click "PLAY" to start The Bus[/p]
  7. [p]The new beta version number should now be displayed in the main menu, and you can begin testing[/p]

[p][/p][p][/p][h3]The Bus DLC Hamburg City – What’s Next? [/h3][p]With the release of our first expansion for the bus simulator The Bus, the Hamburg chapter is far from over – quite the opposite! Today, we’d like to give you a brief update on what’s happening behind the scenes and what you can look forward to next. [/p][p][/p][h3]Bug Fixes & Fine-Tuning [/h3][p]Since the release, we’ve continued to receive valuable reports via TML’s reporting system – thank you to everyone contributing! Some of these reports relate to the DLC itself, while others concern the base game. We carefully review each message and are working continuously to fix issues and implement improvements in upcoming updates. [/p][p][/p][h3]AI Buses in the Pipeline [/h3][p]The next big step is just around the corner: TML will soon include the feature for AI-controlled buses in a beta version of the game. Then it's time for us to test – especially on the Hamburg lines! [/p][p]Particular attention will be paid to challenging spots like the turning loop at Borgweg – a real test of skill, even for human drivers. Winterhude also features some tight sections that need close inspection and, if necessary, adjustments to the AI paths. Our goal: a smooth and realistic AI driving experience throughout the map. [/p][p]Once the AI buses are running flawlessly, they’ll arrive in Hamburg with a future update – as soon as TML officially enables the feature. [/p][p][/p][h3]Looking Ahead [/h3][p]Many of you have asked whether there will be further expansions for the Hamburg map after release. The answer is: yes! [/p][p]We’re continuing to work on the map beyond bug fixes, with new content and ideas already being evaluated. Some plans have been in place since the start of the project, others are currently being reviewed for feasibility. Once we’re ready to reveal more, we’ll be sure to let you know! [/p][p][/p][h3]What About New Buses? [/h3][p]At the moment, we’re not planning to add new drivable buses to the game through this DLC. In The Bus, maps and buses are released as separate expansions. That said, bundles via Steam could be a possibility in the future – once a dedicated bus editor becomes available. With the Hamburg City add-on, you’ll experience Hamburg from the perspective of a bus driver, driving through leafy residential areas, lively city centers, and past iconic landmarks such as the TV Tower, the Elbphilharmonie concert hall, and the historic Speicherstadt.
