Tropico 6 Update 19 Hotfix 2


Fellow Tropicans,

Tropico 6 Hotfix 19.2 has just been released for Steam as well as the Microsoft Store (and other PC platforms), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

This update mainly includes bugfixes, including an issue that affected some players with low system specs where trees disappeared from the game, as well as fixes for some issues with the DLC ‘New Frontiers’. It also includes a fix for a multiplayer issue that could lead to save data being corrupted when the host of a multiplayer game created a save game after the victory screen with the continue playing option.

  • [PC Only] Fixed an issue, that led to trees disappearing for some players.
  • [Multiplayer] Fixed an issue where the according save data was corrupted when the host created a save game after the victory screen with the continue playing option.
  • Added several fixes for issues that occurred when trying to place a tunnel.
  • [DLC New Frontiers] Solved an issue where assembly buildings in construction could disappear when players relocated the Spaceport Complex.
  • [DLC New Frontiers] Adjusted the sliders in the Mission Configuration tab - adjusted to allow better control over the selection of the corresponding values.
  • [DLC New Frontiers] Fixed some issues that occurred after deleting rocket components from the assembly building info panel immediately after launching the rocket. Players can now no longer remove installed rocket components after launching the rocket.
  • [DLC New Frontiers] Fixed an issue where creating a save game while demolishing the Spaceport Complex resulted in the Spaceport Complex being placed again in the same location, but no longer accessible to the construction workers.
  • [DLC New Frontiers] Fixed an issue in Mission 3 where an invading ship could get stuck on the ocean while trying to find its way to the island.
  • [DLC New Frontiers] Fixed an issue where in some space events the deduction of supplies was incorrect.
  • [DLC New Frontiers] Added missing robotic voice modulations of the character “Patch” in some languages.
  • Fixed a couple of interface issues (e. g. wrong icons, scrolling issues).
  • [Localization] Several text fixes.
  • Fixed a couple of crashes.

we have just released a hotfix for Tropico 6 Update 19 for Steam, Epic and GoG. Other versions will follow as soon as possible.
This hotfix includes a fix for the era progression with the new landmark 'moonlander'.

We are over the moon to announce that Tropico 6 – New Frontiers is out now for PC. Whilst a certain billionaire is distracted by the chaos at Twitter, El Presidente has decided that now is the perfect time for a little space exploration of his own if he truly wants to become the richest man in the universe. In Tropico 6 – New Frontiers, players are tasked with ensuring Tropico stays ahead of the international competition. It’s a wide world out there and El Prez is taking his persuasion tactics to galactic heights. With the new Space Port Complex, players will embark on launching Tropico into a glorious new future as they construct rockets and delve into research. Take on the Space Race, walk on the Moon and establish the first Mars colony of humankind with the all-new Mission Mars campaign. New characters, buildings and edicts open countless possibilities to make more money, keep your citizens happy and improve upon that Tropican perfection. You can even customise a fresh look for El Prez and his palace that is out of this world. But be warned, even with a stellar plan there is no greater risk than space exploration and who knows what unforeseen circumstances await. You’ll need to be creative if you want to claim glory for Tropico.



Want more cosmic content? With the just-released Tropico 6 update, El Prez is also happy to provide some new content for the citizens of Tropico including bug fixes and a new free landmark, the Moonlander – as long as you vote correctly of course. Tropico 6 – New Frontiers will also be showcased during the game’s first live stream with the Developers on Friday 2nd December at 6pm GMT / 7pm CET over on Kalypso Live.

Tropico 6 – New Frontiers is out now for PC. The cosmic DLC will blast off for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles on 15th December.

Tropico 6 update 19 – De sopetón has just been released for Steam. The update will follow for Xbox series X/S, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 | 5 on Dec 15th.

With update 19, we have added a new, free Landmark: The Moonlander, for the Cold War era. In addition, we have adjusted the costs for relocating buildings as well as the fluctuation of Tropocoins and removed the monthly upkeep for the “Funhouser Special” edict.

Amongst several fixes, update 19 also solves an issue that led to the Housing-Quality Bonus from Metro Station not being updated correctly when relocating the Metro Station or correspondingly affected residential buildings were relocated. Fixes also include an issue with crashes that could occur in multiplayer, when building bridges or saves included bridges were loaded.
