2025.1 Patch 4

Dear captains,

There is a new patch available for version 2025.1.

Ships:
- Fix (regression of 2025.1): Enemy ships were sometimes firing their guns at an U-Boat remaining at a periscope depth.

Crew:
- Officers tasked with attacking other ships with any type of gun are now a bit more accurate, more often target the waterline and less often end up hitting the water.

Missions:
- If user disables UI with a hotkey during tutorial mission, the UI is automatically toggled back when tutorial progresses to the next phase.
- Fix (regression of 2025.1): The torpedoed ship in a tutorial mission #3 could already sink, when the tutorial was asking to attack it with a deck gun.
- Fix: Torpedoes launched at the first ship in a tutorial #3 could in rare cases eventually end up hitting the second merchant ship that was needed for this mission to complete.
- Fix: There could be a minor issue with the flow of a tutorial #3, if a game state was saved when a torpedo salvo was launched and the game state was reloaded without leaving the game.

Damage model:
- Various changes that make it a bit easier to sink ships on "Quick" sinking physics realism setting.
- Slightly lowered the threshold above which a ship is considered a total loss.

Graphics:
- Fix: The particle effect behind N-A1 ships propeller was having a UV issue.

General:
- It's now possible to change newly added realism settings in saves started before 2025.1, even if the game state is later saved on 2025.1 and loaded once again.

Yours,
DWS

2025.1 Patch 3

Dear captains,

There is a new patch available for version 2025.1.

Localization:
- Russian localization update by Hard.
- Japanese localization update by かねのもうじゃ.

Damage model:
- Ship hulls may now break or damage, if their center of mass change due to inflowing ballast is too extreme and a large part of the ship is sticking above the water.
- Added a creaking sound effect that indicates that the hull is exposed to a stress that may break it.
- Changes to Ol-Class and War-Class tankers, to make them sink slightly faster.

Yours,
DWS

2025.1 Patch 2

Dear captains,

There is a new patch available for version 2025.1.

General:
- It's no longer a requirement to see how ship sinks completely to get a credit for it. We now make the assumption that the commander eventually confirms it in one way or another or deduces it from the flow of events.
- A threshold above which a ship is considered a total loss was lowered.

Yours,
DWS
