Eximius Update - May 22nd, 2020



Hello Officers,

In this update, we focused more on improving the FPS component of Eximius. We done some major changes to the AI. Previously, AI units in Eximius will prioritise headshots on their targets. In this update, all AI units will focus on targeting the torso area and will no longer deal headshot damage. We think that this change will give a more consistent FPS experience for everyone. This is a huge change, so please do let us know your thoughts about it.

We also overhauled the recoil system for all weapon. They now use a smooth recoil system. There's a bit of learning needed to get adjusted to these new weapons but your overall FPS experience in Eximius should be improved as well. We also added proper magnification to the Spec-Ops packages of SIGAR and XM13. So snipers, rejoice!

[New Feature: AI Aim Control System]
- AI Officers and Units now uses an accuracy system when tracking projectile. They will now sometimes miss their shots depending on the speed of the target
- AI units will now correctly smooth turn intead of instantly snapping towards their target. Some units like Ironguard have much slower turn speed
- AI units now no longer deal headshot damage. They will always damage based on centre body hits
- AI units no longer aim at target's head but at the body instead
- AI units now track their targets when firing projectile-based weapon

[Revamped Recoil System and Scope Changes]
- Complete revamp on the weapon recoil system. Weapons now use smooth recoil
- All weapons recoil values are adjusted
- Scopes for SIGAR and XM13 Spec-Ops now have proper magnification

[Foliage Interaction]
- Tall Foliage now slowly becomes transparent when you go near

[Custom Lobby Additions]
- Added Public to Privacy Option
- Added checks to prevent the start of a new match if all members from the previous game are not in the lobby
- Added checks to prevent Match from starting when there are unassigned players
- Added Kick feature
- Players are now auto assigned to Spectator when joining a Custom Lobby
- Spectator and unassigned sections are now merged for better UX

[Gameplay Changes]
- AXR Emergency Shield Pack now gives a 30% Movement Speed boost
- Improved visual and sound effect for Flashbang effect
- Adjusted Flashbang effect on allies to 3 second
- Flashbang grenades are now directional dependant. Looking away from the Flashbang will prevent the Flash effect
- Increased the throw speed of all Grenades by 30%
- Reduced GSF Exploit Vanguard Hack border size by 30%
- AXR Mule walking speed slightly increased, sprinting speed slightly decreased
- AXR Shockwave range and projectile speed are slightly increased
- AXR Rook Autocannon undeploys when Rook is flinched

[Animation]
- Replaced animation set for GSF Assault Vanguard with a new bulky version

[Challenges Changes]
- Challenge Mission Training achievement timeframe increased from 180sec to 240secs
- Challenge Battlesuit AXR 1. Ironguard now respawns faster and additional covers are added on the map

[Fixes]
- Fixed Player not automatically entering Spectator Mode on Death
- Fixed Spectator Cam not being able to cycle to other friendly officers after the first registered player dies
- Fixed Voice Chat Keybinding Does Resets After Game Restart
- Fixed Missing Exit to Menu button during the Final Stage of Setup Lobby
- Fixed Buff Icon appearing on Units when the attribute is not applied
- Fixed Quick throwing Grenades skiping the pulling pin animation
- Fixed Custom Game chat not auto scrolling to the latest message
- Fixed Input not auto focusing to chat box after sending a chat message in Custom Game
- Fixed Matchmaking cancelled by host message not sent to Lobby Spectators
- Fixed players being stuck after player gets the Electrocuted Debuff while playing the equipping Battlesuit animation

- Fixed GSF Assault Vanguard firing extra Homing Rockets at targeted enemies
- Fixed GSF Assault Vanguard not updating targeting UI during the second use
- Improved GSF Assault Vanguard Airburst Rocket calculation algorithm. Rockets should hit its target more accurately now
- Fixed GSF Exploit Vanguard being able to Hack a moving target when Line of Sight is broken
- Fixed rare bug where sometimes AXR Aegis Exo-Shield does not breaking when Shield is depleted
- Fixed EMP not disabling Active Protection System (APS)
- Fixed GSF Skirmish AI not building Armored Logistics at Team 0 location in Downtown
- Fixed physics asset of several units. Units death are less likely to be wonky now
- Fixed AI Squad Members sometimes sitting out of combat due to being out of range
- Fixed Safety Restore check for vehicles
- Fixed Damage Impulse being overapplied due to direct impact explosive having a x5 impulse
- Fixed Vehicle AI not fixing their aim at their target when reloading their weapon
