Patch Notes 0.8.7.b: Hotfixed issue where campaign levels do not show up

HI! We have a tiny hotfix today for users who have been experiencing the issue causing old save files to make the campaign levels not show up.

If you're still experiencing the bug after restarting your computer and verifying the integrity of the game-files please email [email protected]

Information about the Unit Creator!

There has been a lot of questions in regards to the Unit Creator - this post is aiming to answer some of them and make it clear what the Unit Creator is.

[h2]When will the Unit creator be released? [/h2]
Towards the end of Early Access/Game Preview, most likely in Q2/Early Summer of 2020.

[h2]What is the Unit Creator?[/h2]
The Unit Editor will let you make your own units. Mix and match clothes and recolor them to your liking. Equip and mix weapons from the game's other units and make your own factions of crazy TABS units.

[h3]The Unit Editor will allow users to:[/h3]
  • Equip and recolor clothes to units.
  • Equip and recolor weapons to units.
  • Equip special abilities to your units.
  • Change between the normal humanoid and other unit types
  • Save your units and make your own factions.
  • Use those units and faction in custom battles/campaigns you make and upload them to the workshop.


[h3]The Unit Editor features we'd like to get in, but cannot confirm until tested: [/h3]
  • Importing custom clothing models
  • Making mounted units
  • Hand placing props on units.


[h3]The Unit Editor will not allow for:[/h3]
Making your own clothes, weapons or abilities inside of the editor.

We will have a bunch of cool props and outfits in the editor to enable you to create a bunch of stuff!

Patch 0.8.7.A: Fixed a security issue

Heya! We just released a small patch to fix a security issue. We have so far not seen anyone experiencing issues with this but since the kind people over at Modzero AG alerted us to it we wanted to make the game better and more secure for you players.

What's next for the game in Q1 2020!

[h2]Happy belated new year! [/h2]

[h3]You may be wondering what’s in store next for TABS in Q1 (January-March)? [/h3]

Next up is an update with the Simulation maps shown in devclips, it’s going to include 20 new simulation maps and a campaign. It will most likely be ready at the end of the month or in February.



We’ve heard you, the Cheerleaders are getting a boost - they will not be the same as they were before the nerf but they will have a bigger cap than they currently do to bring back some of the fun in sandbox.




We’re also hard at work finishing the last faction, it will most likely come sometime during Q1 or early Q2 :) What do you think it will be?



As for the other features in the roadmap www.landfall.se/earlyaccess we have more info and estimations coming soon!

[h3]During Christmas, we released TABS on Xbox! [/h3]

Xbox will be updated at the same time as the PC and Mac version now which means that we need a bit more time for each update - that said it also means they should be a lot more stable as we now have proper QA.

Patch Notes - 0.8.7 Fire and fixes

Bug Fixes
  • Projectiles from Hwacha and Artemis no longer goes through units sometimes.
  • Painter particle effect swap color when you set flip team colors in settings.
  • Fixed issue that caused particle effects to change color on frozen units.
  • Removed decimals for rating percentages in workshop
Changes
  • Ranged units are now better at standing still when attacking
  • Units now slow down when turning
  • The Dynasty Dragon and the Wheelbarrow dragon will now light enemies on fire
  • The Skeleton archer’s fire will now random spread to some nearby units, friendly and enemy
  • The Dynasty Dragon’s fire will now random spread to some nearby units, friendly and enemy
  • Wheelbarrow has more knockback on enemies
  • Made units target the ice giant more often
  • Increased the speed of the knight’s charge
Balance
  • Increased the damage of the Headbutter
  • Increased the knockback of the Headbutter
  • Increased the cost of the skeleton archer
  • Slightly decreased the attack speed of the skeleton archer
Performance
  • Overall improvements to game stability, meaning players should experience less crashes
  • Slightly changed the music trail effect of the bard to improve performance
