Sneak Peek | New Game Menu & Inventory System

Intruder agents, this is agent Ryguytheguy transmitting a message from the Mountainside transmission tower.

After hacking the computers of the Cliffside facility I was able to grab some top secret info regarding a future update to the game menu and inventory system! See below for the information and a mission briefing on what you can do to help.

Game Menu Update

I found quite a few top secret files that I have uploaded here, make sure no guards are watching and take a peek.

agent_info.sbg - It looks like the guards have made a system to keep track of agents in the field. They have the ability to view the online profile, reputation, and username of any agent at their location. They can also take actions to kick and report dishonorable agents.

team_select.sbg - The team selection tab is a way for agents to see who is playing and choose a team before deploying on a mission. Clicking the (i) icon will bring you to the agent info tab I previously revealed so you can learn about who you're with and who you're up against.

team_info.sbg - The team tab is similar to the selection tab but can be accessed while in the field. You can see the current match history with the score keeper in the bottom right corner.

objective.sbg - The guards have outdone themselves this time and added map functionality to the objective menu. Now rookie agents can get right into the battle with access to callouts, room layouts, and objective locations.

Inventory Update

A new inventory system is being developed right under our noses! The guards seem to have taken inspiration from Resident Evil games to develop a more robust system.

inventory_system.sbg - This new way to hold items may prove beneficial for future missions.

The inventory system has changed from a grid based inventory to a slot system. There are four different types of slots. Front and back item slots can hold a large weapon/tool, the holster slot can hold a pistol, and packs are slots designated for smaller tools and gadgets. The list of items and their corresponding slots can be found below.
  • SMG - Front/Back
  • Sniper - Front/Back
  • Shield - Front/Back
  • Beanbag Shotgun - Front/Back
  • Pistol - Holster
  • Concussion Grenade - Pack
  • Remote Charges - Pack
  • Smoke Grenades - Pack
  • CS Gas Grenades - Pack
  • Mirror Camera - Pack
  • Laser Sensors - Pack
  • Lock Pick - Pack
  • Cardboard Decoy - Pack
  • Red Dot - Pack or Front/Back if SMG is equipped

How you can help

I am sending this critical intelligence to HQ, but have been requested to run it by our top agents to see how we can adopt these new systems and make them optimal for use in the field. Your input is important, mission success is dependent on your success, so help us help you. We want to know if this system can be better tailored for your needs. Should there be more inventory slots, where should ammo be held, or is any part of the interface confusing? Leave feedback below and I'll make sure your input is sent to the right place so the team can get these updates to you for your future missions. If you have more to discuss drop in to our secure channel where you can talk directly to HQ, gather teammates for a mission, share mission reports, and more.

Ryguytheguy, over and out.
