A BIG update is coming

Hello folks!

I have been a bit silent these days but believe me it is for the best!
After 5 years of hard work on Deisim I'm glad to announce that the game is closer than ever to an official release and the next update will be a big step in that direction.

[h3]Let me introduce you the Kingdom Update :[/h3]

In the Kingdom update you will be able to create Kingdoms by using a special miracle to any city in the game. A leader will be chosen automatically and the faith of the kingdom will be tied to the faith of this leader.

The kingdom will do it's best to expand it's territory and become bigger and bigger over time. But there is a catch : every new child in the capital have a chance of being an heir of the throne and like all heirs they all want to be king so when the king die the realm is split amongst the heirs of the kingdom.
Let the kingdoms rise and fall like a peaceful God or provoke their faith by throwing Kings and Heirs in the void of space.

Kingdoms will also have relations between each other. If they have a good relationship they will sign trade agreements and exchange resources to progress together but if their relation is bad they will fight each other and try to conquer all the cities of their enemies.


[h3]Will the update introduce new miracles?[/h3]

The more content I add to the game the more I see the same remarks again and again : "The game is so cool but we need more miracles!"
Good news! We got you covered. This update will introduce a brand new miracle menu.

The old miracle menu was very cluttered and it was complicated to add more miracles on it so we decided to remake it from scratch with scalability in mind. This new menu will also better split miracles in different categories (Terrains, Creatures, Miracles, …) and it will come with a bunch of new miracles to experiment with. It should allow us to add a lot of miracles in the coming months to finally make the arsenal a true God deserve!

[h3]But wait there is more :[/h3]

The kingdom update also introduce a new ambience system that will immerse you in your world like never before. Relax in the woods listening birds around you or experience the energy of a modern city that never sleep. Each biome have it's own mood and you can mix and match them when you create your world. We also added footsteps and improved a lot of things regarding audio and music.

[h3]The price of the game will change with the kingdom update :[/h3]

The game is in early access since December 2016 and despite the fact that I was planning to increase the price over time I never did it because I wanted to reward all the people that wanted to support me during the development of Deisim. This price increase will finally happen with the release of the Kingdom update so if you are on the fence and want to still benefit to the discounted price be sure to purchase the game before the kingdom update release.
The new price will be around 15$

[h3]What will happen after the kingdom update release?[/h3]

After the kingdom update release we will start to work on the end of the game, fixes the last bugs and add a bunch of miracles so the game is ready for a 1.0 release in 2022.
Don't worry this 1.0 release is not the end of the journey and we still plan to add a lot of stuff in the game and release regular free content updates in the coming years. The best is yet to come.

Update EA-1.35

[h3]Bug fixes & Improvements[/h3]
  • Reduce volume of musics and sound effects when a notification sound is played
  • Replaced sword hit and miss sounds
  • Miracles are no longer killing humans when they collide with them
  • Game speed is no longer set to x1 when an UFO is coming and disasters are disabled
  • Fixed a bug starting a random tutorial steps when the player perform various actions and the tutorial is over
  • Text notification duration is now the same even if the player changed the game speed
  • Fixed an animation issue when a human is drying after being thrown

EA-1.34 Pathfinding Update

[h3]What's new?[/h3]
- Improved human AI and better pathfinding
- Allow to play baseball with human and trees
- Allow to throw lighning to UFOs
- Allow to throw a fireball to UFOs
- Humans are no longer able to walk on empty tiles
- Humans are no longer able to travel across mountains
- Added a new miracle to provide Stone since the mountains can no longer play that role
- Humans will do their best to avoid swamps
- Humans are now able to swim in plain water tiles
- Humans are now stuck and call for help when they are in deep water tiles
- European and Asian cities now produce tools with copper
- Nordic cities now produce weapons with iron
- Arabic and African cities now produce jewels with gold
- Crafter buildings are now replaced by factories when a city reach industrial age or superior
- Display a message when a new Deity rank has ben reached and new miracles are unlocked
- Added a visual and audio feedback when the player try to perform a miracle and doesn't have enough mana
- Replaced or improved many sounds effects
- Teleport distance change with to the scale of the player
- Prevent the player to go below the ground when he change his size or move with the god locomotion 3d movement option
- Display boxes with names for all traded resources

[h3]Balancing[/h3]
- Send UFO's when they are needed to progress in the game even if disasters are disabled
- Remove coming soon miracles in the miracle menu to prevent players to think that they can't progress to future age because some required miracles are still missing in the game.
- Restart the tutorial when the player loose the forest miracle instead of throwing it on an empty tile
- Cities use ore directly and no longer need to craft ingots
- Unlock more miracle quicker in the start of the game

[h3]Bug fixes
[/h3]
- The disease miracle label is no longer displayed when the disease miracle is not yet unlocked
- Overpopulation display was always 0 instead of the actual overpopulation value
- Fixed a bug preventing the first cities to be overpopulated a thus preventing to create new cities unless the player was grabbing a human manually
- Prevent humans to be stuck in war mode if the player save during a fight

[h3]SteamVR actions mapping[/h3]
- Reworked Oculus Touch controller mapping to align it with the native Quest mapping
- Reworked Vive controller mapping

Update EA-1.33

What's new :

Added a new evil miracle : Disease
Added a sound to inform the player when a miracle combination is impossible
Apply an offset when teleporting the player if he his not in the center of the play area so he doesn't feel like he is not teleported to the right place

Changed menu size and position to limit situations where it is hidden by the other objects

Futuristic cities now give their surplus resources to their allied cities if this is is their current main need
