I've joined up with tinyBuild Games to expand HakJak Studios into a 5 person team and do a complete, official reboot of Bossa Studio's original prototype from 2019. This is a fully re-imagined, re-designed, re-built-from-the-ground-up game!

Our ambitious goal: create something that feels a bit like GTA meets Goat Simulator, mixed with roguelites such as Hades--but with pigeons! Hopefully this results in something totally weird and wonderful.

Anyways--I'm super excited and just wanted to share the news with everyone that enjoyed Guts and Glory. Believe it or not, Pigeon Sim is going to be even crazier and weirder--and have much better controls ;)

The summer heat is on, and we at tinyBuild wanted to do something to brighten up your day. Today, Guts & Glory is going on a weeklong sale at 67% off.

We’ve been doing lots of interesting things recently, and I wanted to take the opportunity to highlight some of the things we’re working on.

Specifically, on August 13 (that’s next week!) we are launching Kill It With Fire - a physics comedy game about exterminating spiders and burning down your house in the process. It’s a very lighthearted game the alphas of which have had 90%+ ratings on Steam.

I just added the latest GameSense lighting features to Guts and Glory.

If you're a CS:GO or Dota 2 player with any SteelSeries RGB hardware, then you're probably familiar with this already. GameSense lighting FX allows specific hardware components to be used as indicators for in-game events, such as health or warnings.

In G&G, for example, lights will change gradually from green to red as your health declines. Not sure if your character can take one more arrow? GameSense will give you a good idea.

The pic above shows a few of the other events shown by the lighting FX, but you can adjust these behaviors to your liking inside the GameSense app.

The fine folks over at Alienware hooked me up with this awesome laptop so I can build games anywhere! In return I've added AlienFX lighting to Guts and Glory and expanded their SDK for other Unity devs. (I'll post a link to the Unity stuff on my blog, etc. later this week, for those interested.)

If you're gaming with an Alienware computer/accessories it will react to different things in the game, like checkpoints and police sirens. Just a fun little bonus feature.
