Matchmaking & connections[/p]

• [p]Turn timer behavior is more consistent[/p]

• [p]Invites, declines, and ready states work more reliably, so getting into games is easier[/p]

[p] Chat, mail & social[/p]

• [p]In-game chat fixes: no more random server messages in MP matches, and “unknown” sender/receiver is resolved[/p]
• [p]Whisper chat works again[/p]
• [p]Better profanity filtering in chat and guild names (you’ll see clear error messages)[/p]
• [p]Helpful popups when your friends/blocked lists hit their limits[/p]
• [p]Friend requests are more dependable[/p]

[p] XP, Elo & leaderboards[/p]

• [p]Missing XP issues fixed and weird end-screen XP/Elo displays corrected[/p]
• [p]Elo values normalized on leaderboards[/p]
• [p]“Hide on leaderboard” actually hides you again[/p]

[p] Gameplay & UI polish[/p]

• [p]No more double “End Turn” click after receiving VP[/p]
• [p]“View progress” no longer throws errors[/p]
• [p]Report window now closes properly[/p]

• [p]Cleaner, updated account and password reset emails[/p]

[p]🎲 Leaderboard Update in CATAN Universe[/p][p]Hey Catanians!
next monday on August 4th we’re rolling out a major Elo adjustment, based on your feedback, to make ranked play across all expansions fairer, more competitive, and more accurate.

[/p][h3]🧮 Elo Values Are Being Adjusted [/h3][p]We are not clearing the leaderboards; instead, we’re applying targeted Elo corrections to improve fairness and competition without disrupting the game too much.[/p][p]What’s happening to Elo ratings:[/p]

• [p]Elo above 1400 → adjusted to 1400
  [/p]
• [p]Elo between 800–1400 → unchanged
  [/p]
• [p]Elo below 800 → raised up to 800
  
  [/p]

[p]✅ This one-time correction happens automatically on your login once the backed fix has been deployed on August 4th. Your updated Elo will be reflected on the leaderboard.
[/p][p] 👉 Please be aware that in the first hours of this adjustment, your Prestige rank might fluctuate a bit. Once the majority of active players log in again, your  Prestige rank will be displayed correctly according to the new leaderboard distribution. [/p][p]Why are we doing this:

This creates a more balanced competitive environment, allowing both returning and active players to play on more equal footing. Everyone gets a fresh chance, without a full reset. And matchmaking will get faster again. [/p][p]
[/p][h3]🧍‍♂️ Inactive High-Elo Accounts Will Be Temporarily Removed (August 6th to August 8th) [/h3][p]To clean up the top of the leaderboard and make space for active players, we’ll be manually removing leaderboard entries for accounts with Elo above 1400 that haven’t logged on the servers in the days after the change was deployed.


⏳ These entries aren’t gone forever.
👉 As soon as they log in, they will receive the same Elo adjustment and reappear on the leaderboard with their corrected rating.

Elo above 1400 → adjusted to 1400[/p][p]Why are we doing this:
We want to give everyone the chance to get settled in on the new leaderboards, and we also want to make sure, after a grace period, that we get everyone who is actively playing at the top of the leaderboards in the spot they deserve based on their Elo.[/p][p]
[/p][h3]🏆 Elo Cap Introduced: Max 1800[/h3][p]To keep the competitive experience balanced and exciting, we’re capping Elo values at 1800 going forward. [/p][p]Why this is beneficial:
It prevents runaway scores and ensures that matchmaking, even at the very top, will be faster. [/p][p]
[/p][h3]🧭 Better Matchmaking [/h3][p]Thanks to a better Elo distribution and leaderboard maintenance, matchmaking will be faster and more accurate again for everyone. You'll be paired with players closer to your skill level.[/p][p]

• [p]The report system has been improved! From now on, Catanians will receive a confirmation message once their report has been successfully sent. You’ll always know when your report has gone through.[/p]

• [p]🎯 XP is now correctly awarded in all circumstances. No more missing experience points![/p]
• [p]🔍 Leaderboard filters are working properly again, so you can sort and view entries as intended.[/p]
• [p]🌐 Multiplayer stability has been improved — expect fewer crashes and disconnects.[/p]
• [p]📱 Mobile custom match lobbies now run more smoothly and with better performance.[/p]
• [p]🏆 Season leaderboards correctly display player names. No more missing or broken name entries.[/p]
• [p]🏅 Elo rating now displays correctly after completing an Automatch.[/p]
• [p]🤖 Replacement AI is now more stable. When a player leaves, the AI will take over more reliably than before.[/p]
