Hello Catanians,

as many of you have already noticed, there were problems with the 2.2.10 release. This update is to migrate all your user accounts to a new infrastructure, as the old one will unfortunately be shut down. More about this in the previous update news.

During our tests on the current infrastructure, we found out that we have to keep the servers offline much longer than planned. This is the only way we can ensure that your purchases, friend lists, guilds, and most importantly your ELO, etc. will move with you.

We will therefore now follow our Plan B.

On Monday 31st Oct the servers will be shut down at midnight [CET]. This means that from the 1st of November it will not be possible to play anymore. The servers will remain offline until November 3rd. This gives us enough time to save your data and prepare for the migration. On November 3, during the course of the day, each platform will receive updates that will allow you to access the new servers and migrate your accounts.

So please note that you won't be able to play on November 1 and 2. You will be able to play again during the 3rd of November.

servers will go into maintenance mode today (OCT 26th) at 11 am [CEST]. Please note that you won't be able to play during the maintenance. It is our goal to release update 2.2.10 and with it allow you to migrate to our new servers. We will let you know about the latest developments here.

Hi Catanians,

Tomorrow, October 25th Catan Universe will switch to its new server and backend provider. Our team worked all year to make that happen.

On the day of the backend switch, our old servers will go into maintenance mode at around 10 am [CEST]. This means you won´t be able to play until you update your game to the newest version which will automatically connect you to our new servers.

Please note that we will roll out the new update platform by platform to ensure that the migration of your accounts works as smoothly as possible. This means that you might not be able to play for a more extended period. We will have to ask for your patience and understanding. We will inform all users here on discord and on social media about the progress of the rollout.

Important info for your account migration:

If you have a registered account, (email and password) your migration flow is as follows:

1. Download update 2.2.10
2. Enter your email address and password
3. You will see a prompt that you have received an email
4. We will send you an email with your new password
5. Use that password to login into your account and finish the migration process
It is possible that the migration fails. In that case, you will receive an email telling try again. Please be patient during the login process. The migration can take up to a minute.

If you have an unregistered account (username only) your migration flow is as follows:

1. Download update 2.2.10
2. Scroll down if necessary and click on “play without login”
3. The login will take a while. Please be patient.
4. Your account will be automatically migrated
If the migration fails, you will see a pop-up advising you to try again. Please be patient during the login process. The migration can take up to a minute.

Please note that during the migration, the servers will be busy. This could lead to unintended errors or waiting times. We will have to ask for your patience. Our team will monitor the whole process and act if needed.


EDIT:

Hello Catanians,

unfortunately, we have to postpone the release of version 2.2.10 and with it the migration of your user accounts. During the maintenance work, we encountered a bug in the payment system of the STEAM version, which we need to resolve before a release of version 2.2.10.

We apologize for the inconvenience. You can now log back into the game normally without an update and continue playing.

We will provide you with more information here as soon as we have it.

Unfortunately we had to roll back the Steam update back to 2.2.8 . During the roll out process the Mac Os version integrated in the in the Steam version broke. We are currently investigating what caused this issue. But 2.2.8 is compatible with 2.2.9. You can still play with your friends and online.

Resolved A.I crash on rare occasions at the end of the game
