Update Ver. 2.30 Patch Notes

The following changes and improvements will be part of the Version 2.30 update available on December 1st for the PS4, Xbox One, and Steam versions of SOULCALIBUR VI.
Please note that after updating the game, replay data for older versions will no longer be viewable due to adjustments made to battle mechanics.

[h2]Compatibility Support of the paid DLC 13[/h2]
DLC Pack 13 adds Hwang as a playable character. He will be available from December 2nd!
Hwang is included in Season Pass 2. Please be careful not to purchase the same content more than once.

[h2]Compatibility Support of the paid DLC 14[/h2]
DLC Pack 14 adds the Character Creation Set F, which will also be available on December 2nd.
The Character Creation Set F is included in Season Pass 2. Please be careful not to purchase the same content more than once.

[h2]Additional Stages[/h2]
The following stages will be available for everyone after installing this update.
・Motien Pass Ruins

We will also add 4 arranged stages, which are time specific version of the following existing stages which change depending on time:
・Shrine of Eurydice (Evening)
・Master Swordsman's Cave (Evening)
・Silver Wolves' Haven (Daytime)
・Murakumo Shrine Grounds (Night)

[h2]Battle Adjustments[/h2]
・A change will be made to prevent parts on the middle of the body getting destroyed with a specific input while Kilik is being soul charged.
*For details regarding the command, please see the "Kilik" section here.
・An icon that indicates whether "Wind Bearer" is activated or not will be added to the battle screen display.
・Performance fixes and balance adjustments will be made for certain actions in battle.
 Due to the balance adjustments, the contents of "Fighting Style Lessons" in "MUSEUM" will be updated.

[h2]Additional Functions[/h2]
・Mitsurugi and Nightmare's new side stories will be added to "Story: Soul Chronicle".
*These stories will be unlocked after completing particular episodes.
・The "5 bars "setting will be added to the "opponent's network condition" when selecting the matching condition in "RANKED MATCH".
・In "RANKED MATCH" and "CASUAL MATCH", a player will be able to go back with the cancel button when selecting a menu during consecutive battles.
・In "CASUAL MATCH", we will change the sound when entering rooms to make it more noticeable to players.
・In "CREATION", a number will be displayed to the slider that adjusts the position of the sticker.
・In "TRAINING", the health setting section will be added.
・In "TRAINING", a player will be able to check the move list of the opponent's character.
・In "TRAINING", an icon will be added to the move list menu.
・In "TRAINING", the timing to start replaying the registered key record will become faster.
・In "TRAINING", a player will be able to go back to "TRAINING" carrying over the data of the previous character and stage if a match is played from the standby setting.
・In "TRAINING" and "REPLAY", "Command input history" will not disappear even if a player opens the pause menu.
・In "REPLAY", the display "To the Next Round" will not be erased even if the winner is decided in the round being played.
* This change will be made to prevent players from knowing whether or not the match will end during the round.

[h2]Game System Adjustments[/h2]
・Some text errors have been fixed.
・Stability has been improved for certain actions, etc.

[h2]CHARACTER CREATION Adjustments[/h2]
〇 The settings of some creation parts will be changed to disable wearing them together with certain parts.
・ "Tiger Lily Gauntlets" will not added to Inferno's equipment lineup.
*While we try our hardest to avoid limiting possible customization options, we feel such a change is necessary to prevent character models from displaying incorrectly. We kindly ask for your understanding.

・The "Wretch's Helmet" and "Harmit's Hood" can no longer be worn together.
* Since this is a combination that does not display both parts when worn together, the change will not affect the variations of appearance that can be created.

〇 The settings of some stickers will be changed.
・We will fix the issue that the sample image color and the default color of the sticker "Motif 115" are different.
・We will fix the issue that changing the second color of the sticker "Motif 126" affects the color of the entire sticker.

〇 The following issue will be addressed.
・We will fix the issue that the appearance of the character's eyelids becomes unnatural when they wear "Pegasus Sallet".

[h2]BAN policies for players who violate the EULA (End User License Agreement)[/h2]
We will enforce bans on players who have been confirmed to have violated the EULA that is agreed upon when they first play the game. Please note that players who are repeatedly reported to have violated the EULA are subject to the ban once we confirm such violation has actually taken place.

Update Ver. 2.25.01 Patch Notes

The following changes and improvements are part of the Version 2.25.01 update.

[h3]NETWORK Adjustments[/h3]
In the STEAM® version, we have fixed a problem where the ranking board was not updated.

[h3]Future adjustments[/h3]
We have confirmed that the following issues are occurring due to the battle changes in Ver. 2.25. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but please wait for further information regarding our response.

- Geralt: The hurt box for "Soul Charge", "Critical Edge", and "Fleet Footwork" has been incorrectly changed, resulting in lower defensive performance than expected.

- Taki: Taki may ring out due to the change in animation of "Stalker Drop" and "Wind Sealing Descent".

SOULCALIBUR VI Update Ver. 2.25 Patch Notes

The following changes and improvements are part of the Version 2.25 update.

Creation Parts Added
The following equipment will be added and available to all players.

Battle Mechanics Added / Adjusted
Performance fixes and balance adjustments have been made for certain actions in battle. You can view more information here.


Miscellaneous Added / Adjusted
  • Casual Match mode has been updated so that "WAITING" does not become "READY" until players and spectators return to the lobby. This adjustment was made to reduce cases in which some spectators could not join the next match.

This change does not apply to matches interrupted due to network errors or lost connections.
  • An issue was fixed in which the color marker shown when changing the color of the Yasha Undergarment in Character Creation mode was different from the actual color of the item.
  • An issue was fixed in which equipping Asuka's Shirt, Asuka's Gloves, and Tiger Lily Stockings on certain characters in Character Creation mode would result in an unexpected facial expression.


Gameplay Adjustments
  • Some text errors have been fixed.
  • Stability has been improved for certain actions, etc.


Omissions in the patch notes for Ver. 2.20
The following changes were mistakenly left out of the patch notes released on 8/3/2020.


Missing Adjustment Notes
  • Changes were made to what is displayed on the offline versus screen. A photo card will be displayed on the screen for custom characters created in Character Creation mode.

*For online battles, only your character card will be displayed.


Missing Additional Creation Voices Notes
  • The following voice additions as part of DLC12 were mistakenly left out of the patch notes

The "Young Tactician" voice for male characters and "Mysterious and Boyish" voice for female characters were added as part of DLC12.

Battle Adjustments
- Performance fixes and balance adjustments will be made for certain actions in battle.
- The "Fighting Style Handbook" in the Museum will be updated to reflect various balance adjustments.

Additional Functions
- A new side story for Grøh will be added to Soul Chronicle that will be unlocked after finishing Grøh's main story.
- A setting in the Character Creation mode will be added that toggles whether the character's equipment will be destroyed during battle.
- Quick Character Selection will be added to Training mode.
- A feature to the options menu will be added that toggles whether or not actions performed after a match has ended will be displayed on screen.
This feature only applies to online battles.

Game System Adjustments
- Some text errors have been fixed.
- Stability has been improved for certain actions, etc.

CHARACTER CREATION Adjustments
In order to prevent an error in which body parts become transparent, certain pieces of equipment can no longer be equipped together at the same time.
- "Destiny Lower Body Garment" and "Boxing Trunks" can no longer be equipped at the same time.
- "Crown Princess Attire" and "Raven Leather Leggings" can no longer be equipped at the same time.
- "Baihu Coat" and "Sword Demon Costume" can no longer be equipped at the same time.
While we try our hardest to avoid limiting possible customization options, we feel such a change is necessary to prevent character models from displaying incorrectly. We kindly ask for your understanding.
- "Rubber Mask" and "Oval Glasses" can no longer be equipped at the same time.
One of these items would not have displayed when equipped with the other anyway, so this change has no effect on visual customization options.
- "YoRHa Unit Number Two Standard Armor (White)" can no longer be equipped at the same time as "Nakoruru's Dogi (Top)".
This is due to an issue in which these parts would significantly clip through each other.
The black version of this equipment was already incompatible with "Nakoruru's Dogi (Top)", so the white version was adjusted to match.

Changes have been made to certain stickers:
- An issue in which stickers placed on "Padded Headgear" are visible on the opposite side they were placed has been fixed.
- An issue in which stickers cannot be placed near the backside of "Chinese Hat (Brimmed)" has been fixed.

Other changes have been made as well:
- An issue in which hair with the "Braided Half-Up Style" disappears when certain head equipment is equipped has been fixed.
- An issue in which Astaroth's and Haohmaru's abdomens become transparent if they are equipped with "Enlightened One's Armor" has been fixed.
- The color palette for the 4th color-customizable place on "War Maiden's Costume" has been changed, increasing customization options.
- "Kuroko's Hood" was designed after stagehands in kabuki theater (called "kuroko") who would never show their faces, and in consideration of that fact, the item was intentionally designed so it could not be broken. However, in version 2.20, players are now able to turn equipment breaking on or off, so "Kuroko's Hood" is now treated as breakable equipment.
- An issue in which the angle of movement for "Seeker's Earrings" and "Aristocrat Earrings" differs between Extra 1 and Extras 2 & 3 has been fixed.

Update Ver. 2.21 Patch Notes

The following changes and improvements will be part of the Version 2.21 update available on August 3.

Game System Adjustments
- Starting Chapter 2 "The Burden of Fate" in Libra of Soul results in an endless loading screen.
- Choosing the set phrase "Would you mind using Hilde?" in the chat in Casual Match Mode causes numbers to show up in the chat window.

SOULCALIBUR VI Update Ver. 1.51 Patch Notes



Update 1.51 is now live on Steam! The patch includes the following improvements:

Game System Adjustments
We fixed unexpected issues that may affect battles in Update Ver. 1.50 Patch Notes, released on August 5th, 2019.
(Please note that once the patch is applied, the replay data from previous versions can no longer be replayed due to the game system adjustment)

• Some attacks that give chip damage to guarding opponents
We fixed an issue where, despite the fact that chip damage cannot knock-out opponents even when their HP gauge is reduced to zero, this was not the case for Cassandra's "Keraunos Finisher" or "Shield Big Bang".

• Force Act
Cassandra can now only restore the guard stamina by performing Force Act during battles.

• Cassandra: "Admonishing Angel"
As its tracking performance when hitting an opponent in the air was much higher than expected, sometimes the opponent could not avoid the attack by aerial control. Therefore, the tracking performance in this scenario and also the height the opponent flies in the air with the second attack are now decreased.

• Cassandra: "Angel Kick-off"
We fixed an issue where an opponent rolling on the ground in downed position sometimes fell off the stage when hit by this attack.

• Cassandra: "Guardian's Knee"/"Seraphim Cyclone"
We fixed an issue where these throws were sometimes successful to opponents in the air instead of crouching opponents.

• Cassandra: "Shield Super Nova"/"Shield Big Bang"
We fixed an issue where an attack to Cassandra when she is starting up these attacks were not judged as counter attacks.

• Azwel: "No More Naysayer"
As its tracking performance was increased in Ver.1.50 update, sometimes an opponent could not avoid the attack by moving sideway. Therefore, the tracking performance is now decreased.
