- Added a toggle option for supporter beer, you can now choose to serve beers in regular or supporter mugs.
- Fixed that clients were sometimes not able to see holiday assets in biotank
- Tweaked deep dive mission probabilities
- Fixed bug where c4 could cancel fall damage
- Fixed controller shortcut issue that made it possible to abort un-abortable Assignments
- Fixed being able to reset the weekly assignments by starting another and then restarting the original assignment
- Fixed completing the promotion assignment changing the completed week seed for the core hunt assignment
- Fixed bug where you could delete picked up items by pressing Q on the spacerig
- Tweaked Gunners Robot Rebellion Armor, left shoulder plate should no longer float
- Optimized pathfinder performance
- Optimized some smoke and Rockpox particles
- Fixed barrel hoop game sounds not playing for clients
- Made bosco able to carry all the in-cave holiday double xp items
- Changed "all barrels in launch bay" mission control shout to trigger 100% of the time
- Fixed a bunch of typos
- Added more breach effects to heartstone after final break

The Annual Anniversary Ghost Ship Games Live Stream is back for yet another year! Those of you who’ve been with Deep Rock during the past 5 years will be well aware of this exciting yearly event - but if you’ve just joined up during this past year, allow us to explain:

Each year during DRG’s anniversary we run a live stream session featuring the founders and key members of Ghost Ship Games, talking about the past, present, and future of the game. This year will be no exception, especially since this time we’ll be celebrating HALF A DECADE of co-op fun, lucrative mining, and fond memories - all made possible by the game itself, and not least of all YOU: The community.

The live stream will take place on Twitch (ghostship_games), Wednesday, March 1st, from 14.00 CET.

We’ll primarily be talking about Deep Rock Galactic, of course - but this time around, we won’t be stopping there: As some of you have heard, Ghost Ship is venturing into the brave new world of publishing! We’re doing this driven primarily by our excitement about game development and from a desire to help out other awesome games and developers make great games and get themselves properly established. During the stream, we will be revealing some of these awesome upcoming titles - we’re quite excited about this.

Some of you will already have heard about this through the grapevine: Ghost Ship is expanding, adding a brand new department dedicated to publishing games from other awesome and talented developers. Stick around for this part as we reveal the first three games we will be publishing, talking with the developers directly, and showing off the games themselves.

Submissions are in, and we have selected the finalists! So many great recruitment videos - it’s been a pleasure and a blast to watch them all. We will show all the finalists on stream and comment on each. And, of course, pick the winner.

Deep Rock Galactic is the finest space-dwarf mining simulator out there, which is in no small part down to how the game has been supported with free updates since its early access launch almost five years ago (the game was fully released in 2020). As we alluded to in our previous post, we have an anniversary coming up: DRG is turning five! In other words, it’s been five whole years since we launched the game into Early Access. And we couldn’t help ourselves (this is becoming custom), we had to do something special for this occasion. This event feels very special to us, and whether you are a Senior Miner or a new starter here at DRG, we hope you will feel it as well when you get to experience it. So let’s get to the announcements, shall we?


[h2]Year 5 Anniversary event

Yes, there will of course be an in-game event for this year’s anniversary. With Space Rig decoration, rewards, and botched Longbeard Freight deliveries - all that you have come to expect. More details will be revealed in due time, but you can already add it to your calendar: The Year 5 anniversary starts on Thursday, 2nd March, and ends on Thursday, 16th March.

But wait, there’s more.

To commemorate 5 years in orbit, we are adding the option to play the original version of the game. That’s right, you will be able to play DRG as it was when it originally launched in early 2018. Maybe you feel nostalgic and want to go back and experience those early days of glory. Or maybe you just want to appreciate everything that has been added since launch by actually seeing how different the game is today by comparison. Either way, grab some friends and mine like it is 2018.

We got carried away - again. There’s been a repeated question from many of you: how can you help support the game since all the content updates we have released since launch have been free. So, for those of you who want to show your continued support of Deep Rock Galactic, we have put together a most decadent, most luxurious, most supportive package of cosmetic DLC and extra goodies. And in case you were wondering, no, we are not slowing down on Deep Rock Galactic. On the contrary, we have never been as busy making exciting new things for this labor of love which now turns 5. Keep your eyes and ears open for more details on this, coming your way soon.

The fact that we are celebrating half a decade of Deep Rock is something we could only dream of when we first launched the game. Great news! The ‘Hiring for Hoxxes’ Recruitment Video Competition is live!.

As most of you know, Deep Rock Galactic is always recruiting new Miners to fill the company ranks. Working on Hoxxes is a rewarding yet dangerous undertaking, so to maintain headcount the company needs a steady inflow of new starters. And that is where you come in.

Make a recruitment video of modest length (no longer than 1:30 minute in length), showing potential new recruits why they should join Deep Rock Galactic, and you may win some very handsome rewards: A Steam Deck, a Golden Loot Bug plush, a gaming headset, a dwarven beard wig and a signed poster from Ghost Ship Games. Besides being celebrated by the team at Ghost Ship Games, of course.

What’s that you ask? Is this just an excuse to get players to make an ad video for us? Nonsense! To prove that baseless allegation completely wrong, we have actually made an example video ourselves. Which we will submit for the competition, thank you very much.
